Except Papua of course! - is safer than the US and practically every other mongering location on earth, according to the UN. It's safer than freaking Germany with it's FKK clubs. And Thailand. And Phillipines. It looks bad, sure, due to the state of disrepair in the North. Therefore Jakarta will never draw much tourists. But it's not unsafe compared to the US.

As it so happends I will be back in Jakarta at the end of March. If you or another forum member happens to be around, I'm more than willing to meetup around Lokasari / Travel to discuss the landscape.

If you walk past the KFC all the way to the end and make a left turn, you will see rough looking characters after 11 pm. They are sitting in the parking lot waiting for Customers.

Lokasari is for locals who cannot affort to visit Classic or any other Clubs. They are looking for a girl for 300,000 Rupiah or less. You are scraping the bottom by visiting this place.

I have no idea why another Member is hyping this place.

Been here 4 days. First day wondered into Loskari where an aggressive and pushy pimp got rude and aggressive when I didn't want his girls. Haven't been back of course, could be dangerous. Had 2 days sick but recovered enough to go to Travel hotel, lots of girls sitting around but was lumbered with one mamasan, quite friendly but tried to push some less than desirable girls in my direction. As posted previously: quite a few of the girls have family in different parts of Indonesia and will visit these places for most of Ramadan. It's like Thanks Giving and Christmas combined.

Careful: many places will give the impression to be closed. But that's not necessarily true. E. g. The main entrance to the underground girls club at Travel Hotel is officially closed during Ramadan. However: there is a covert second entrance, not visible to the public. You have to ask the guards (using Google translate) about directions. The number of girls will be about half the usual number and most will arrive after sunset. As the girls are indeed strapped for cash just before and until late Ramadan, they are more eager to please (still the standard rate applies - 375 for covert sex).
