I need to refresh my 30 days in LOS so I figured I'd fly to Jakarta and hit up the fish bowl joints. And Travel Hotel. It was only today that I randomly thought of Ramadan and I remember it being in the Spring, so I looked it up and saw it starts March 10th! I'll be there 8-13th. I already know to load up on enough beer on the 8th and 9th at the super market, but does anyone know if the places in Kota and Pen. J are going to be open?

I typically go there for sex and then I'll go to Blok M to shoot the shit over a few beers. Will the Blok M bars also be open?

What do these transactions appear as on the statement? So far I have used only cash for my two encounters in Jakarta (2023) but I have tried using a debit card while mongering in Thailand that has zero forex fees, but I would using a credit card. The transactions from these Thai spas explicitly in Bangkok appear with their spa names clearly visible on my bank statement, but that is okay as this bank account is hidden from Mrs. But if credit card transaction entries are discreet, I would avoid the hassle of extra steps like secretly transferring money to my secondary bank during my upcoming solo trip to Jakarta. TIA.

A quick google of "Jakarta 24 HR discos" gives multiple examples in Kota and Jaksel. Whether they are good, bad or indifferent you will have to ask others. Don't expect high end roof top bars. More a gazillion kids, chemically fuelled to party the weekend away..

Agreed, with very rare high-end exceptions, AMEX is not accepted anywhere I've been in Asia for the past 25 years.

Thanks. But I don't travel with FX. I was amazed this last trip how common CC facilities have now become. I use Wise and for six weeks, I think I only used about 5 jt in cash. Everything else was on the card: Grab, meals, shopping, entertainment, everything. That was a family friendly holiday though, no mongering.

I didn't have any issues with fraudulent or extra charges.
