I am pretty familiar with Jakarta and Tinder did worked for me for the last 2-3 years. Whoever I met in Jakarta, never asked me if they can bring a friend to me.

The last time I paid for sex was 3 years back and it was 700 for LT. I would accept that, Jakarta is expensive compared to other places but there are so many girls compared to the mongers. So, you will have good chances of finding a girl for reasonable price. First time visiting Jakarta in January. I'll be staying at the Shangri La. How easy is it to communicate with taxi drives in English to go to a place like Malio or Classic? Thank.

Along with other recommendations for taxi and Grab (personally I use Grab 95% of the time), you can also use the official MyBluebird app to request, or pay using a credit card, where you can also enter the destination. I think they can then rely on GPS, though the only reason to use a taxi instead of Grab is wait time if Grab is taking too long.

Friday night can't come soon enough. I was able to re-connect with a girl that I met two visits ago from CJ and whom I was pissed at in my last trip because she stood me up. I have reported earlier the pricing structure for Malio, and there is really nothing exceptionally memorable to report out on my experience there. Here are my some of my thoughts but again YMMV.

- On per hourly basis, the cost for these Malio girls are actually more expensive than what a quality freelancer would cost outside. I get this feeling that the girls are always rushing their session with you so that they can get onto the next customer. I just don't like that.

- Prior to entering the room, the receptionist would force you to shelve out Rp. 40 K to buy their condoms. Looks like they have an internal WhatsApp chat group among the girls where they would shame anyone if no condoms were purchased. Eventually, I brought my own condoms and would flash it in front of the receptionist to let her know I am not interested in buying their condoms anymore.

- Girls would always insist on the condoms unless you can make them really comfortable with you. I managed to have two of the girls went bareback with me this time and I guess they must have felt really safe and comfortable with me. By the way, they can walk out on you and here is what you need to know. Unless until they have stripped naked, you are not obligated to pay for the session and can have the option of replacing a different girl, and the girls also have the right to walk out on you if they do not feel safe for whatever reason.

- Imports are really pricey and not worth it in my view. Their pricing structure makes prices offered by any freelancers in CJ looks like a bargain. The Russians would tend to overplay their fake moans (based on my friend's input) and the Vietnamese and Mainland Chinese are more likely ending up as starfishes (from my past experience). Nonetheless, I saw a really cute Vietnamese that almost made me want to jump in but I held back since I had a feeling on what I am going to end up with. Nonetheless, I did saw that same girl being booked out of Malio by a local guy the night before. I can tell this guy probably paid a steep price for this service. I checked with the Mami and it would cost 12.5 million to book a Vietnamese out plus tips. At least they need to stay with you till noon. That service alone would easily cost 15 million and then you include the drinks etc, that amount can add up real fast. Then again, if one is loaded, then one is loaded and all these to them are just peanuts. We, as the foreigners who visited Malio, would be seen as the cheap Charlies, LOL.

- Finally, I have to say I have the hots for the mami who works in the M-Bar. I would like to bang her anytime. Too bad, this is not happening anytime for me.

After a trip to Jakarta earlier this year, I did not expect to come to Jakarta again for a while. However, as I need to be in Singapore to take care of a few things, I have extended my trip and included an itinerary to Jakarta, and so here I am once again enjoying what Jakarta has to offer.

I used to be able to get freelancers easily for 2 million, but all her friends are asking for 3. I have to agree with you on that, with the exception of Singapore of course in this region. However, I think half of my expense has got to do with me spending on booze and clubs and the other half on the girls.

One fun thing about doing all these here in Jakarta is that it makes one feel young again and not just purely the sex. I think being able to speak the language also helps. However, since I do not get to travel here often, my only consolation is that it is okay to splurge once in a while.

These are the ways to find cheap but good sex from the market dedicated specially to locals.

1) Girls in Tinder who doesn't speak English.

2) Mi Chat (Similar to we chat).

3) Instagram (Some of my friends said, they were messaged by people asking for sex in IG) I have never tried it BTW.

4) Places like Classic and some local places near to Mangaa Dua (beginning of 2019, they were charging 350 k and up for ST in-house).

5) Go Massage: 1 hour massage costs less than 100 k and majority of the girls doesn't speak English. I have 90 % success getting a hand job for 100 - 150 k and I am still keeping around 5 in many cities for hours of full services and used to tip them like 300 k. The girls who comes through go massage, normally aged between 25-50. I am fine with girls between 25-35 for extra.

Ever wonder why girls are always hungry. It is not that they did not eat all day. In Asia they tend to eat many meals all day. I flatly refuse if the girl wants to bring a companion. And if they say they are hungry before sex I keep snacks in the room. For a few days visitor it makes no sense to wine and dine girls. You need to let them know your intentions even if somebody introduces.

On another issue, Bringing friends along on a first date. Not sure what this means in Indonesia.

I had many dates in the Philippines where they bring a friend along (I assume maybe for safety and comfort). Then the friend was always gone within 15 to 30 minutes. I got very used to that and accepted it as common practice.

By comparison, I had a first date shortly after I arrived to Indonesia in 2014. This was my first time in Indonesia. Her sister worked as administrative staff at Shangri-La and introduced us. I take Widy to dinner and next thing I know her girlfriend shows up and joins us for dinner at an expensive fucking Japanese restaurant (her pick naturally). At the end of diner we go our separate ways and I am stuck with a 3 million dinner tab. I got sucker punched on that one, but at least I learned my lesson. This was scamming on a scale I had never seen before. I took my girlfriends whole family (12 people) for dinner in the Phils and it cost me like $70 usd, and I was happy to do it. This was over $200 for 3 people.

I had another similar situation months later, where a supposed IC date shows up, with a friend in tow. We walk to Blok M mall in search of dinner. Of all the places to eat in the Mall, they choose Burger King. So I am initially relieved, until we order and I realize they are ordering 2 of everything! It was all in Bahasa so it took me a while to figure out what was going on, but as I saw the cash register total keep climbing; and not wanting to relive the earlier tragedy on a smaller scale, I finally stopped the cashier, cancelled the order and got everyone a #1 value meal. Went back to hotel, chatted for an hour and never got together again.

"Friend" experiences in Indonesia have not been good for me. So my question is, do I allow friends or not. Or do I allow friends and let it be known I am only paying for my dates dinner.

Others have already chimed in, but my experience: It's the cost of doing business (and for her to feel safe / comfortable). If she is hot enough, then I will entertain her and her friend, within reason. I choose the location (so we're not at a $$ restaurant) which helps set the expectations, and if she's truly there to fleece me, then I call it quits. In the few times where a friend has been brought along, the additional cost was maybe $30-50, and I found it to be well worth it as she went home with me (without friend) after, and no taxi money requested, implied, or given. I guess it will depend on the situation, if she is just looking for some excitement, then treating her to a nice night out (and better if her friend is there too) is enough. (And I'm pretty sure it's not expected as she never mentions it and she keeps meeting).

If she ends up being just about the taxi money, then I wouldn't take her somewhere too expensive nor would I entertain her friend (unless it's the first time and it's the price of entry, so to speak).

If you're not comfortable paying for her friend, I would make it clear up front, but she may cancel, and I would control the expense a little by selecting a reasonable venue. As I've also done before, and I would not mind tips here either, for things like shopping trips or even if I take a girl on a trip to provide spending money is I cover all lodging and food, and shopping I'll give a reasonable allowance in cash ($100-150? When it's gone, it's gone, but she can spend it how she likes.

I read about your terrible experience with cell phone and lesson to learn at one point in our life. I always make sure few things before bringing girls to my room.

1. All valuables are locked in either suitcase or bags including cellphone.

I am used to local storage. My home computer has 6 hard drives in a RAID 5 array. Never had a data loss; even when a drive failed. So I've never tried any cloud options or off site backup.

So I am screwed with the data loss. "Expensive" lesson learned. My new phone is backed up to Google Cloud.
