They looked good, just hoping the pictures is true.

Try going around 4, 4:30 and see what you find if you're still in the area.

I'm sure there are more than these few: sepong, karaoke, es krim, isap.

She understood. She just didn't want to. You can try to figure out why.

The girls understand perfectly well that some punters are fresh off the boat, and some are old hands who have been here for years. They know they aren't going to get a ridiculous tip from the latter, but that balances out with the fact that they might become regulars, and at least they know which one is a psychopath and which one is a good client. They will serve both groups. They each have their advantages from a business point of view.

I think that is also just as nonsensical as the single tipper spoiling the market. Yes there is a balance between religion / government / tolerance for our hobby in Jakarta. But to think what we write here will influence it at all is hogwash. The Jakarta scene is almost entirely based on local demand, with the exception of a few higher end places like Malio. The government and police all know about what happens there and our little TR's make no difference. Also Jakarta will never be a Bangkok or Pattaya or Angeles. It gets few tourists and some business travelers but that's about it. It also has a minimal resident expat scene (and almost no sexpats like Thailand). So the Bule influence on what happens either way with these venues is non existent.

Places like Classic may be eventually shut down but it won't be because of anything we say or do. It will be a political decision based on local sentiment and conditions. But the local boys will still find ways to get their little "haram" pleasures. And local girls will always provide.

    Price vs tip

You make a good point but I still contest that overtipping DOES eventually make a big difference with how much the girls eventually start to expect. It can't not matter when the girls start to talk among themselves and start getting jealous that her friend got this much and I only got this much. It's just human nature.

Also, I seriously doubt the local authorities pay any attention whatsoever to what's written on a message board unless it refers to something of an illegal nature.

Understand it well little teetotal Gaijin. Everybody overpays at some time or other, everybody's dumb snake hits a "girl you have to have" no matter the price. But to state that one person's overpaying is going to ruin the market is BS, and to lambast somebody for that idea is BS, it is all market forces. One guy buying a car from a car lot at the sticker-ed price doesn't mean that everybody's going to be doing that from now on. And that's all your doing.

Completely agree. We've already seen it with almost all the North Jakarta discos with working ladies and an on site setup similar to Classic being closed over the past 10 years. Stadium (a national treasure, had incredible ladies on the 3rd and 4th floors), Millies was closed as well. (Maybe Crown is still a thing? Or was it closed as well?) Maybe it was the drugs like they said. Maybe it was 2 birds, 1 stone. We've also seen low end places like the train tracks torn down and closed. Long before the train tracks another low end place, Kali Jodo was shuttered. And the government closed Alexis level 7, which was amazing. Alexis was specifically targeted by the Jakarta governor and he campaigned on closing it. I think the scene is a lot more fragile than a lot of people think. Lokasari used to have 4 or 5 brothels that have all disappeared. (Although with those I don't know if they were closed by the government or not.). Dolly, once one of the largest brothel complexes in the world in Surabaya was closed. The common thread here was plain. Too much exposure. Too much attention.

The scene in Jakarta is mostly designed for locals and not foreigners. We are so incredibly fortunate that we are welcomed and avoid things like two tier foreigner pricing, denied entry or ladies reserved only for (XYZ race). I would just encourage everyone to consider Cucumber's post below.
