You hit the nail right on head! That's exactly what I was doing on last Eve. For a split second I was thinking you are a mind reader. LOL. Me and my little buddy both were hungry and even though there was snack options for me, my main course was wasted and passed out. Definitely not a great memory I would like to repeat in this lifetime.

Will probably end like most things on new years eve. Once the fireworks are over you will be wondering what's to eat!

I have never myself, nor known anyone who spent New Years Eve in Hotel Classic, King Cross, or any other brothel in Jakarta, so I have no idea. That's a night I always hang out with a special girlfriend, usually at some New Year's party event. I do know one thing, you need to pick a spot that night and just stay there because the traffic is a nightmare that night. I make sure I arrive at my party spot by 10pm and never even attempt to go home until around 3am because much of the city is gridlock until then.

I have a possible layover option in Jakarta this NewYear for few days. I've tried KL scene in past where FL hikes their price by 2 x-3 x as part of their New Year resolutions! From your experience in living Jakarta, how busy / crazy scene would be in-terms of visiting Classic / King Cross? I would like to play safe to avoid overcrowded, sweaty and Intoxicated mens grinding me at classic or at similar places. LMAO.

Just landed in India after the trip not much to talk about usual Classic travel and sumo options and 2 movies and a freelancer.

Some thing I noticed they are pushing too much for taking 2 girls argument is I am big. Loosing interest in the hobby thinking should look at casual hook ups and not paid services any more. They are not as fun as they used to be.

Didn't go KI or CJ's this time that's the only regret. Have stopped alcohol and so was a boring trip most of the time.

What the hell is up with these girls in CJ's trying to order Macallan when you ask them if they want a drink? That crap is 400k (about 30 USD) a glass. When they order for themselves, they order the cheapest drink possible. When they have you paying, they want Macallan. I had three different girls the other night try to order that. Why is that popular all of a sudden? In 20 years going there, I never had a girl ask for that. But the other night, all 3 girls I talked with tried to order it. Is this some kind of a scam where CJs is asking the girls to order that? I also had a girl demand 300 usd ST. She was smoking hot, but come on. I certainly hope nobody is actually giving these girls that much. Suffice it to say, our conversation ended ther. I did not see her spending any long amount of time talking with any guy even though she was the hottest girl in the bar, so hopefully she went home empty handed.

As long as you don't wear a tank top, shorts or sandals, you are fine. I always wear jeans and tennis shoes. Most times I wear a long sleeve shirt with a collar, but I have worn t-shirts there. It's places like DragonFly that don't allow t-shirts. I wouldn't wear one of those black or white "undershirt" type of t-shirts that are so popular, those might not get you in.

Blok M has been taken over my Africans.

D's place and My Bar were still ok when I was there recently.

But the taxi drivers agree with you. I have known those taxi drivers for years. I took a taxi from there last week and asked the driver how business was at Blok M and the guy said "Blok M no good now because of Obama Bar and all the black guys. The black guys always fighting and bad people. " I hadn't seen evidence of that, but I take him for his word since he's there every night.

BATS and CJs are over rated with Yank cover bands for music that get really annoying really quickly. I wait for the dance music inbetween.

The girls vary, and I haven't seen any stunners amongst them.
