If going to the Philippines, be mindful of typhoons during the period between Christmas and NY. Manila is usually pretty good but I've been stuck in towns south of there a few times due to storms rolling in at that time. I wouldn't be paranoid about it but just keep an eye on the forecasts.
Enjoy your trip.

Yeah I just was wanting to get out of the states for the holiday. NYE always sucks here. I will add a 4th thing to your list. Expensive hotels. Thanks for the tip about the fireworks. I would have missed that. Would BKK be different? I'm just curious what makes BKK better for NYE. Starting to think I should change from Pattaya to BKK or Jakarta. I've just spent so much more time in Pattaya so seemed like the best comfortable spot with plenty of younger talent. I just booked my 30 day tour through Asia. Landing in BKK on Dec 30th. I had planned on doing NYE in Pattaya. I'm a younger guy but don't think I'm a douchebag. LOL. Any particular reason you prefer BKK over Pattaya for NYE?

I am glad I am not the only one that sees things this way. I was starting to feel liek an old fogey. But these young douchebags are just insufferable.
Actually you now have me thinking that it may be a good idea to split my time between the two. A week or so in each.

I found it readily available in any pharmacy without a prescription. Even in the province.
You can buy in any quantity. Even just 1.
Just walk in and ask for it.

In which part of Jakarta will you stay? But if there's a Kimia Farma near you, give it a shot.

Also, has anyone been to Sagita Spa? After doing some shopping at Plaza Indonesia, I may give it a try. I'd welcome any feedback. I'll post a report and share my experience.
4 pm, some girls come in early to avoid traffic congestion at 1-4 pm.

I usually do Pattaya but its just too crowded for me with douchie dudes that time of year. I prefer to hit Patts in the low season.
Is this a good time of year to visit Jakarta. Will girls be around and will venues be open normally?
Many thanks for any info!

There is a dedicated Jakarta Hotel thread.
If you want to discuss hotels, that's a better place to post. Keep this section about the cewek.
