Out of Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Macau and Malaysia where would you spend NYE? Going to attempt 3 days in each just not sure what order. May also kick out Macau and South Korea.

If going to the Philippines, be mindful of typhoons during the period between Christmas and NY. Manila is usually pretty good but I've been stuck in towns south of there a few times due to storms rolling in at that time. I wouldn't be paranoid about it but just keep an eye on the forecasts.

Since pattaya is a party city to begin with I find NYE in pattaya to be no different than any other night except for 3 things. Expect to pay way more for dinner. Expect fewer girl availability since guys would have prearranged to be with their favorite girl. The 360 degree fireworks show is impressive. Just stand on beach road around Central festival and enjoy.

Yeah I just was wanting to get out of the states for the holiday. NYE always sucks here. I will add a 4th thing to your list. Expensive hotels. Thanks for the tip about the fireworks. I would have missed that. Would BKK be different? I'm just curious what makes BKK better for NYE. Starting to think I should change from Pattaya to BKK or Jakarta. I've just spent so much more time in Pattaya so seemed like the best comfortable spot with plenty of younger talent. I just booked my 30 day tour through Asia. Landing in BKK on Dec 30th. I had planned on doing NYE in Pattaya. I'm a younger guy but don't think I'm a douchebag. LOL. Any particular reason you prefer BKK over Pattaya for NYE?

Since pattaya is a party city to begin with I find NYE in pattaya to be no different than any other night except for 3 things. Expect to pay way more for dinner. What time does Classic open? Last 2 times I went, I was told to come back in 2 hours when I arrived around Noon. This was on a Sunday and Monday.

Also, has anyone been to Sagita Spa? After doing some shopping at Plaza Indonesia, I may give it a try. I'd welcome any feedback. I'll post a report and share my experience.

I recommend this hotel. Great location in North Jakarta. Did you go to the evening cocktails on the 10th floor in the evenings? Fantastic cocktails, expensive, but great eye candy making them!
