    $300

During my last trip to Jakarta (which was also my first time), I visited BATS one night. Met a 8. She quoted me $300 for ST. I looked at her and told her 1 million for the night and walked away. She probably still thinks I am cheap charlie. Hehe. But I am glad that I had perused this thread.

Earlier that night before reaching to BATS, I ended up at the Ritz Carlton lounge thinking that BATS is located there. Ended up chatting with the 2 girls who were working at that time. When asked what their recommendation would be for a club. The answer was CJ's. Their shift was ending in about an hour and I almost offered them to accompany me but the curiosity in me wanted to check out BATS so I held myself back. Later that night, ended up picking a cute one from BATS (after the $300 offer) only to find out that she was another star fish (yep rookie mistake). Kicked her out of the room in less than an hour after 1 shot and went to bed. The next day, I flew out and promised myself that I will return soon. Guess where I will stopping by in my next trip.

One thing I can never understand: After how many hours does ST become LT?

Thanks for your reply. I have exchanged messages with two girls on IndoCupid. One girl, Chrieztians (the girl with the tattoo on her chest) wanted a laptop or a motorcycle, and thought my offer of 800,000 IDR was insultingly low. The other, Melanie, wants $150 USD (almost 2 million IDR, if I'm correct) for only 3 hours in my hotel room. I've haven't been to Indonesia yet, but I reckon this is too high?
You have some good responses here already from people that have been playing the game longer than I have.

This is a business transaction and the seller will try to get as much for their goods as they can. IMHO, both these girls are trying to rip you off and have you picked as a newbie. One wants a motorcycle? Seriously? I would be laughing all the way to the next profile. Especially with MS saying he recognises her and you should stay away.

I would state on your profile or tell the girls that you are a frequent traveler to Jakarta, and that you know the market pricing. Even if you don't.

Another tactic I use it to tell the girls I will pay extra for good service on top of the negotiated base rate. Need to keep them motivated, otherwise the bad ones will just starfish, try to leave early, and demand the negotiated amount. Always offer the hope of repeat business, it improves the service often.

Oh, another tip, every time they talk dollars, switch it back to rupiah. The rupiah has dropped so much, they know $100 in your home country is not very much. One girl I was talking to yesterday asked for $200. That is about 2.6 million rupiah now. At first I just told her that her price was crazy high and I was not interested. She came back and said she would negotiate. So I offered her Rp500.000 and she countered with Rp750.000, which is about US $58. She is not a stunner, but has a nice big set of titties that I am tempted to play with on my next trip and I will give her the Rp750.000 because she came down a lot and I don't want to argue over a few bucks anymore.

Another girl I negotiated with recently, sent me some stunning pics. So good I am worried they are fake. I offered my usual 500, she countered with something like 1.5 million, and we finally agreed on Rp900.000 for 2 shots. If the pics are real and the service is good, she will be worth every penny and I will repeat. If the pics are fake I will send her home with nothing as soon as I meet her.

So the price does vary widely, depends on the girl, where she comes from, how badly she needs money, if you are a repeat customer that she likes, and how much you can be bothered to negotiate over the last few bucks. Places like CJs / BATS are high end hotels and you should expect to pay more in them.

Yes, both girls are too high. I think I recognize the tattoo girl, and if it's who I think it is, I'd stay away from her completely. The other girl, Melanie, looks promising, but her requested rate is too high. My take is that she's just trying to see how much she can get from a foreigner who might think he's getting a bargain in comparison with the rates back home in the US / UK / Australia etc. , and I'm sure she'll lower her money demands once you show her that you know the local rates. But Smoothy's advice is solid.

Good luck! I look forward to reading your trip reports.

I recognize this one from CJ's.

Anyway, it's really competitive there (5 girls to every guy, so it's a buyers market) and if you asked her in person there around closing time I bet she would drop to 1. 300.000 (that's almost a hundred bucks). No reason to be overpaying. Try not to tell them you're still new to Indonesia as they'll take that as a sign to trick you for more money.

In my opinion, the tattoo chick is worth about 500 k for all night (although I wouldn't even want her for free). Melanie is worth 1 to 1. 5 million for 3 hours depending on how well she services you. But if I was going to pay that much, I would prefer just going to BATS or CJs and chatting the girl up in person over a beer first.

Also if they had to travel a long way (I remember one that took the train in from Bogor) and made me happy I will throw in a bit extra. Negotiate hard and then pay extra delivers dividends in the friends of friends department. LT I aim for the 700 or 800 mark, but again depends on the girl, and if I can be bothered sticking to my guns. One girl got to my soft spot and I was giving her 1.2 juta for all nighters. She did everything, anal, rimming, but she seemed to have convinced herself that she wasn't whoring herself out, instead I was just a kind foreigner that was helping her raise her kid and we had a future together, my bunny boiler alarm went off and I stopped repeating her.

Don't get me wrong, I go through a lot of profiles, some girls are just trying it on and ask or 2 or 3 juta. Best deal I think I ever got was 2 girls at the same time who could only stay for 2 hours. They were repeats and only wanted 400 each for a threesome. I went to sleep with a smile that night.

Quite good. Many, if not most, of the women who use social media / datting apps have quite reasonable English.

Many thanks to LA Guy 5, Smoothy and HardHatmate. I wasn't able to check the forum for a few days, I can't believe you answered all of my questions so quickly.

I have now booked the Oakwood, but only for 5 nights as I am assuming I might then take a side trip (or if I am having a good time in Jakarta I can just extend).

At the risk of pushing my luck, a couple of additional things have occurred to me from reading recent posts:

    1. In one of Smoothy's posts, he mentions ordering an outcall 'male vitality' massage. Are there any recommended outcall massage agencies who supply this type of massage for the area I am staying at, or if not, where would I need to look to find these (or should I just ask in the hotel)?

    2. Secondly, CeeGee's post suggests using badoo / wechat / skout / tinder. Any idea what might be the likelihood of meeting girls who speak some English via these methods?

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to reply, and just to repeat that if anybody would like to meet up for a beer, I will be in town from 4th April.

Great report Pschman. I'll be in Jakarta mid April for the first time and hope to retrace some of your steps. A bit old for the disco and X 30 something crowd but will give the rest my best effort.

    Thanks again for the report.

Hi RL. The answer to this question as you posed it in the Thailand (Chiang Mai?) forum / thread is also applicable in Indonesia. If they ask for Pak Robert (pak = mister) in room abcd, that will be about all that is necessary for name recognition. FYI, many Indonesians have / go by one name only, so Pak Robert is more than enough identification.

This assumes that you are using your real first name! Best, TTG.

The last time I was in Jakarta 2011, I was told that all hotels must report to the government, all international visitors that check in to the hotel. Also they must have a copy of their passport in the event of a national security issue.

I just meet them in the lobby. They never ask for me at the front desk, because, well, they can't. If they ask for your room number so they can ring up, just tell them the elevator requires a key and you have no choice but to meet them in the lobby.

Although I did stay in a hotel in the Philippines where a girl was running very late and I got sick of waiting in the lobby for her, I slipped the doorman $5 and told him a girl would be asking for my fake name. He basically said 'no problem sir, we understand your need for privacy' and he walked over and the front desk wrote down my fake name and an hour later the doorman brought her to my door. But I have never tried that in Jakarta.

Absolutely! My pic is not me (fatter, uglier guy I found through google so there are no complaints when I turn up), the name I give them is not real, I have a completely bogus cover story about my business, and use a disposable SIM to communicate with them. When I leave town, if I don't want them to find me, I am a ghost.
