day 7, wednesday march 5, 2014 jakarta day 4:

i took it pretty easy today. i woke up too late for breakfast so i walked around the neighborhood working up an appetite and decided to try the big lunch buffet at the ritz carlton for $25. it was real good. the indonesian and sushi / seafood stations were great. later i relaxed by the jw pool and contemplated where i would go later tonight.

Wouldn't the Sheraton near Jalan Industri fit the bill?

If you mean the Sheraton Media, it is no longer a Sheraton, I suspect because it didn't even meet Sheraton's rather minimal standards (which is not to say all Sheratons are bad). This one was not really close to a five-star hotel IMHO. But it still exists I believe as the Media Towers, and wouldn't be a bad choice for someone looking for a four-star hotel leaning towards three-stars, but with a decent-looking lobby at least.
