I have a different view. I don't think it's my responsibility to hold down the prices for you. You're on your own. If a girl can command more money for her services, I say "congratulations." I believe in a free market economy, where each individual is free to sell her services or for a man to purchase her services. Whatever they agree on is fine. I don't believe in price-fixing-I. E. Guys joining together to hold down prices or girls joining together to hold up prices. Each person should make the best deal for herself or himself. If a girl can get more money out of you and you agree to it, that's fine with me. Also, if you can get a girl for less money, that's fine with me, too.

My experience has been that hard bargaining can take some of the pleasure out of the session. If a girl quotes me a price that is reasonable, I take it without negotiation. It works better that way for me. If I think it's way too high, I decline. Sometimes she'll make a reduced offer that I may accept. If the amounts are not significant, I rarely drive a hard bargain. It's not worth it to me.

Before I go in, I like to have some idea of the market price or at least the range. That's why I asked Traveler what the going rates were and he was very helpful. That doesn't mean that I won't pay more than the average rate if I think the quality is there. Face, body and personality are all important to me. Also very important is chemistry. If we have a lot of rapport, I may pay somewhat above the average rate, just because I like her.

There's also the concept of the marginal utility of money. What this means is that an extra dollar to me is worth less than it would be worth to a girl in Jakarta. So $50 extra to me would not be significant, but it would be to her. To maximize pleasure for her, I'm happy to pay more, since the extra money that I pay will not reduce my pleasure significantly. I find that it makes me happier to treat other people well.

I decided on this exact approach in my buying items for import many years ago. If it is not out of the ball park and will make the supplier feel better about his product and his profit then it is a win-win situation for both parties. The same applies to the quality of the WG. You get what you pay for.

Perhaps she won't settle that easy when I negotiate next time. Or her friends will try to. Overpaying does exist. As to much money doesn't always makes the service better. I admit I overpay several times but thats more out of negotiation weakness then out of full free choice. I just want to say a good negotation will not necessarily change the service you get and benefit other people like me. Up to you.

3. In my last post, I said the same thing you are now saying. Enjoyment is the key.

You merely paid the retail price, not the street / market price. In fact, you paid full retail plus a premium at BATS. You're right, by western standards $150 isn't much but than again you're in Rome and not LA. It's your money. It's like pay private escort prices for picking up someone at Nana Parking Lot. Next time just don't waste your time and ask 'how much is the street price'.

And just for the record, those 20+ stunners can be had for under $100 and LT, but again YMMV. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Jakarta and have fun!

Traveler, I don't think you're clear on the concept, or at least, we have different views on the subject. The idea is not to pay the least, but to get the most enjoyment.

I don't think you're clear on the concept, or at least, we have different views on the subject. There is no one set price at BATS, so you really can't make a judgment on what's overpaying or what's not overpaying without knowing who the girl is. There is a wide range of women at BATS ranging from an overweight "plain Jane" in her late 30's to a beautiful 22-year old stunner with a great personality. Clearly, the prices are very different for these two individuals, so saying that someone overpaid based on a certain dollar figure makes no sense at all, if you don't know who the girl is. I think the goal of any sensible person is to get the most pleasure out of sex-not to get the lowest price possible. In my situation, paying $150 instead of $100 is irrelevant, because the extra $50 is not very much by western standards. It's much more important to have a great experience. I've found that you get much better service if you're generous than if you fight for the last dollar. In my situation, the $150 I paid for the 22-year old stunner who gave great service and had a great personality was a great value and was not overpayment in any sense of the word.

By comparison, one would pay about $200 for one-hour service at Alexis for a good-looking Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai. For only $150, I had twice as much time with the stunner who was more attractive than most of the women at Alexis. I think when you post that someone overpaid, you're giving people the wrong idea on how to enjoy themselves. The idea is not to pay the least, but to get the most enjoyment.

Canyon, I enjoyed reading your concise very interesting trip report. I am all geared up for my first trip to Jakarta in late February. I have been doing my homework for some time and Hotel Alexis and the Malioboro Spa are at the top of my list. I also want to check out Bats, Hotel Travel, Classic Hotel, and Blok M if time permits, but I am going to leave myself open to whatever happens. For example, I plan to start my odyssey the first night at the Alexis. If I find that the girls in Alexis are really hot and my time spent there is indeed rewarding, then I will probably want to visit the place a couple more times. On the other hand, if my experience at Alexis is just OK – nothing really outstanding, then that will give me more incentive to check out the other establishments. I am staying 6 nights in Jakarta, so I figure I will get around to at least 3 or 4 places on my list. I am not going to try to do everything. That is impossible. But if I like Jakarta as much as I think I am going to like it, this will not be my last trip.

You mentioned you went to Bats at Shangri-La, . Did you also get a hotel room there? If so, what was the price / night and also your session with the girl- the price you paid was it for over night?

I stayed at the Shangri-La. It's a 5-star hotel, so a room runs about $300 per night. The $150 I paid was for two hours and included a nice massage, a wonderful BBBJ and sex in several positions.

I doubt so. Atlhough the first shift go home at 15:00. In many accor hotel chains its forbidden to enter or stay in guestrooms if you work there. I used ro date the GRO at a similar hotel. One time she sneak in but I noticed she was uncomfortable. So I picked a similar hotel closeby. Also more discrete when I dated another one at the same time. My guess counts for the masseuses to. Any other girl you bring in is fine. On a side note spa in grand mercure (and inroom massage) offers FS to but it is onthe expensive side. In novotel only some of them do. The problem is they know how much you pay for the room. If you go opposite of the street of novotel (kota) by taking the pedestrian bridge you will have some ladys calling thenselves mamasan and offering girls. Haven't tried but should be much cheaper and LT. (Close to pizzahut / the aryaduta or jayakarta hotel? Well only1 big hotel there can't recall the name. You will see many taxis on standby. My guess is that they sell the suncity thai / Chinese ones for a better price.

The Sparks hotel and the Mecure are both good in north Jakarta.

Mercure kota is gf and the inhouse masseuses are FS orientated. They ask at start or after 20 mins so you don't go unnecessary in the 2nd hour. First time I had a gorgeous 8/10 cute 21 why old. Agreed on 700k all include (hotel massage too which was excellent for 30 mins). Didn't negotiate longtime but considering the hotel upper mid-range segment quite a good deal (although guess you could get to 500-600k). No need for transport. Only time cheaper I got was in orchadz for 400k which they normally don't do as they have their spa. I knew the girl from the spa; so she got the same 300k as in the spa where a full package is 680k.

2nd time in kota I was so stupid not to message the 1st girl. I got an "older" lady. Cost 500k for BBBJ and a HJ. Well maintained. Good face and boobs but wouldn't want all whifh she knew.

Sounds really good to me. Actually I am foremost looking forward to hooking up with some beautiful and passionate Indonesian girls while I am in Jakarta. They are at the top of my list although I am sure I can be swayed if I see some beautiful PRC girls at Hotel Alexis.

OK, Traveler. Here's my take on Jakarta. My favorite bordello in Jakarta is Hotel Alexis in north Jakarta. You go up to the 7th floor and there are maybe a hundred girls all nicely dressed in evening gowns. You can sit down at a table, order a drink and watch them. They are in different groups with different color gowns. For example, all the Vietnamese girls sit together and have white gowns on, the Indonesians sit together and have blue gowns, the Chinese have red gowns, Thai girls have their own color, etc. Most of them are very attractive. You can ask for a line-up of any group or go over and look at them. Prices are relatively high by Indonesian standards. Indonesian girls charge 1. 3 million rupiah (about $115 US) , Vietnamese are 2 million rupiah and I think Thai and Chinese were about the same. In general, I would go for the Indonesians, since there are a lot of pretty ones and the lower price means a better value. However, I picked a Vietnamese for 2 million, because she had a nice smile, a nice body and was really cute. Once you pick a girl, you both go to your respective locker rooms and change clothes-girls into bikinis and guys into shorts and a short robe. For up to 25 minutes, you both go into the big Jacuzzi with other couples and she gives you a light massage in the water and you play around a bit. Then, it's off to the room, which is nice. You shower, then hit the bed. Service for me was pretty good, but not great. She had nice skin, a pretty face and a very good body. Take-out to your hotel is available, but it's three times the price of in-call. Alexis is the most expensive one I visited. Most of the others were 350, 000 to 800, 000 rupiah, but the girls were better at Alexis. For me, the price difference was worth it. At 1. 3 million, that's only about $115 which is not much by Western standards, so that's what I recommend for better girls and nicer facilities. Of course, for $35, you can get an hour with someone perfectly acceptable, so bargain-hunters will want to go in a different direction...
