Dropped by Maribaya Bar last week for the first time for well over a year, been going down to Kota more often lately. For whatever its worth, I discussed the service issue of the girls in hotel travel with a local indonesian guy in the past and he said to me: If you want to make sure to get a good service in hotel travel, then let the girl choose you.

Two points:

- are you sure that the price of a customer's beer is 400, 000 rupiah? That sounds awfully high (around $40 US) , did you mean 40, 000 rupiah instead?

- despite all of the favorable reports about Hotel Travel here on ISG and elsewhere, the vast majority of the customers at Hotel Travel are local Indonesians, not foreigners. Also, many of the girls here are "barely-legal" (18 to 21 years old) , from Indramayu or another rural village, and speak little or no English, thus they're a bit timid. So I'm not surprised to read that many of the girls are afraid to go with a "bule" (foreigner).
