Actually I am very pleased to read that a business establishment cares enough about customer service to take the time out to post here, and to let us know that if any ISG member has a complaint, that he should contact management to rectify the situation. Seriously!

Those of us who have spent a lot of time in Jakarta already know that this attitude is quite rare. Adrian's post helps to make up for those places where I've received lousy service (e.g. Krystal Spa in Pang-Jay) and complained to management, only to have them shrug their shoulders and say that they could care less if I come back or not.

i think i have said it several times here before: there was never any problems in tropical where i have been several times and which in fact has become one of my favorite in jakarta.
there was no more good or bad experiences than any other similar places whereby the relationship with the girls can never be predicted for certain anywhere, and varies widely subject to so many factors.
among those factors can be the mood of both people, (the girl could have been pissed off by the previous guy or something else), the time of the day, (they are only human and get tired after 10 hours waiting and or servicing), the attitude and the body language, (whether the guys are nice and gentle or with macho attitude and rough), the existence or lack of attraction, (you can't help it if the girl does not feel any kind of attraction or even worse, if she dislikes the guy completely and rather feels repulsion), the level of the tip history, (the girls talk to each other: that's all they do, so if the guy is known not to tip enough ...), the ability to communicate or not, (a lot of bules or other asians do not speak a word of indo and those girls very rarely speak good english), to name but a very few.
i have had some meorable sessions both with the free lancers and the therapists there. i also have had some not so good sessions, as well as some friends i took there, and i usually let whoever is in charge there know, and they always took into consideration the complaint.
the advantage of tropical is how well you pak ah-guan and your staff know your girls and the pros and cons to have any one of them.
so i would strongly suggest to any bro here to ask you or pak aan, the duty mananger there, before selecting either an fl or a therapist depending on what they really are after, bearing in mind that for new girls it's always a lottery... even more unpredictible ...

finally, i would like to recall that as far as i know, tropical is the only place in town to my knowledge (but if anyone knows another place then please let us know here) where for a reasonable flat fee (350 krups) you get an fl for 45 minutes plus a 1.5 hour massage with a therapist where ... things can happen as well hehehehe ...

hope this would have clarified a bit the situation for tropical. i like the place, obviously, but i still try to be realistic and unbiased.

There may have been a clampdown in Atrium but it was certainly pretty good last time I was there a couple of months ago and definitely no problem with security. I reported at the time that Blok M Plaza was good too, especially the cinema where I had and interesting "experience".

I agree Plaza Semmanggi is pretty good especeially for better quality girls, there are lot of them but harder to get. Ambassador Mall is OK too, I got the number of a very nice girl in a Nokia shop who I never got round to seeing but she sends me text message every week or so. I noticed that there is a stall downstairs which sells viagara (probably fake) with several girls on it: this presents an excellent opportunity for banter which I couldn't do as I was with a girl at the time. Comments: Bar and rooms have been renovated, quality of girls has gone down hill since my last visit in late 2006.

Comments: Quality of girls improved greatly from what i remebered. More girls inside in the pool room, missed this room on my last trip. Visited 3X on this trip, my #1 choice.

Directions: Turn left into Jl Mangga Besar from Jl Hayam Wuruk, Lokasari is on the left between the first the second traffic lights. Go to the end of "boulevard", turn left in front of the shopping complex, turn right and go up the stairs, Rp30k cover charge incl one drink

Cost: Rp250k + Rp50k tip
Comments: Quite busy at night, topless dancers comes on 10pm to 10.30pm. Lighting very poor.

Super (down the road from Jayakarta Hotel)
Directions: Turn left into Jl Labu from Jl Hayam Wuruk (before Mangga Besar junction), go to end of Jl Labu, Super on left
