Hit Desperados last night in the Shangri-La (a Friday night). Came to SUB on a late flight, so needed some dinner and figured I would check out the talent before hitting the bed, so was there around midnight. Bar area was busy, but the rest of the place was empty.

The band is lame. Playing some of the new hip hop tunes, but then tried to play AC / DC's classic "You Shook Me All Night Long" and between the drummer not knowing the correct beat and the guitar playing faking the chord progression horribly, it was a train wreck.

Saw a few hotties, but was shocked to see some fat cows as well. And not just one or two. Otherwise a lot of 4's and 5's. Seemed to be pretty even in terms of guys vs gals ratio, which was a switch from the last time I was here.

Only bright moments were my dinner (ANYTHING made with their seasoned chicken is GREAT) and the 2 sexy girls who got up and danced on the bar when the band took a break.

Left after finishing my meal, but did not get anything for "dessert".

I believe JJ's in the the Westin Hotel or Marriott. Bongo's Fun Pub is in the Sheraton.

Desperados was quiet on Sunday evening with about 8 customers and the same number of girls. Only one girl was good looking. Very European and classy looking, Lisha joined me upstairs. No money was discussed. Even better things followed: a very nice slim body, very small but sensitive breast and an enthousiastic disposition for fun in bed. She really got into the act. Sex and GFE. So a very pleasant evening that initially didn't promise much. Two bad points: not much DFK and CBJ. If you stay at the Shangri La, go and have a beer downstairs to have a look, don't expect too much and you might have a pleasant surprise. I gave her 1 mil. I think for short visits, Jakarta is your best bet. From my experience when I gave been in Surabaya for some time, has yielded some "good girls" who wanted to play plus there is always Desperado's which has produced some good finds for me.

I have to admit that I am a closet fan of mongering in Indonesia, having done the rounds in Jakarta, Batam and Tanjung Balai over the last 7 years or so. Have always wanted to check out Surabaya but judging from the contributions in this thread, perhaps it is advisable to stick to Jakarta? Comments welcome.

I stayed this weekend at Sutos Hotel (Surabaya Town Square).

It has a direct connection to the Food Mall as posted before.

This weekend it is even european soccer cup so it was very busy.

I found a normal girl in a bar at Town Square and we talked and chatted a lot.

At first she wanted to come home after the game because she is a good girl and we just met first time etc.

But with a few more drinks and conversation she ended up in my room.

I like this place but I think that you have only good cards at the weekend

During the week it will be hard to find someone to pick up there.

My number one place is still Jakarta.
