Some info..

Excelso Cafe on 3rd floor (I think) of Tanjung Plaza shopping mall. Often women there giving the eye in the afternoons. Had a young mum with absolutely huge firm tits.

Station Disco, bona fide scoring spot. pitch black inside, kind of weird and disorienting. Lotsa girls. I felt mobbed last time i went there, 2 or 3 girls all over me. Scored a real goer, sooo juicy, but she was a bit unbalanced!!

Theres a small street, turns off the main drag just before the Hyatt. Taxi guy should know, stop there, touts come to the car, set you up for an hour. 150,000. My girl was nice, and left on time, but rang me next morning, and we were able to have a couple of sessions without thinking of giving the touts a rake-off. That was good. no bj though!

Stay: Orchard or Orchid Garden Hotel. There's a shopping mall next door, where, you guesssed it, there's an excelso cafe!!!!! Always seems to babes in Excelsos!

I visited the city of Surabaya in late 2001 and given the recent requests for more information am I posting a (slightly edited) copy below which was originally posted on another website.

Feel free to post more questions about Surabaya, and hopefully I will have something useful to add. I'd like to go back there one day to explore it more fully because Indonesian women are among my top favourites and Surabaya is off the beaten track and begs more exploration.

Spent 2 days in Surabaya. A previous post from a couple of years ago described a house at number 5 Jalan Sonokempang in the city centre but I was not able to locate it. At number 3 there was a small inn and the owner said the brothel had closed down, which was later confirmed by a taxi driver. The second area on my list was Dolly. This is not a street but a red-light district in the western part of Surabaya. You won't find it on a map but every adult man knows its location and don't worry about taxi drivers getting a commission because the streets in Dolly are too narrow for parking.

I let the taxi driver cruise through the "main" street in Dolly which has about 30 parlours all with large windows and girls sitting on sofas inside the lounges. This way I could get a quick overview without being accosted by the touts. The quality of the local talent at Dolly is not impressive, highest perhaps 8/10, but it's cheap all right. Paid the driver and walked around. Prices are around 60,000 Rp per hour; as low as 50,000 Rp was offered. Did not see any stunning girls at all and left as I found the touts and the odd beggar quite irritating. You can't seem to be able to walk 5 meters without being accosted.

On my way back to the city centre I hailed some taxis to check the drivers' English skills as my knowledge of Indonesian was very limited. No luck with the first 4-5 taxis, so I gave up and jumped into the next one. Luckily the driver did speak some English and I tried to explain my dilemma to him. I wanted prettier girls and would be prepared to pay more (more than $7/hour that is!). He said one of his fellow taxi drivers might be able to help and drove me to the Blue Bird taxi stand outside Hotel Shangri-la. That driver's name was Arif who spoke better English. He drove me to a place with Chinese women. However, it turned out that the house was empty as they all of them already been taken out (this was at 7-8pm on a Sunday, go earlier). These dragon ladies wanted 2 million and up, which is quite a steep sum in Indonesia (more than a month's salary).

Then he called a friend of his but all of his girls had already gone out to discotheques. He suggested I should go to a disco such as Station (Stasiun), Kowloon, Deluxe, Desperado. Whoring about in a foreign city has the added benefit that by zipping from place to place you get an overview of a city and meet locals. I love it. He claimed Station was the best so he took me Tenjungun Plaza, an enormous modern shopping complex. Went up to the 6th floor, paid the $1.50 entrance fee and the place was rocking! It was jam-packed at 9pm on a Sunday night. One problem with Station though: it's nearly pitch-dark inside, so much that it was tough trying to make out from a silhouette in front whether the person was man or a woman! It was that dark. I must have been the only white guy there -- an exciting and auspicious starting position -- and the women also appeared very curious as Surabaya is not on the international tourist circuit. Which means that English is merely an exotic, minor language here. A guy came up to me and stroke up a conversation in English. Must have been a pimp, or just using his language skills to act as a middleman, trying to flog some average-looking girls in the disco. No luck with me so I left and as a last resort went to the most upscale disco in town called Desperados in the Shangri-la hotel. By now you will have gathered that I am a patient, fastidious sort of chap, and willing to put in an effort to find exacty my type (=slim, pretty, young, slutty in bed). Because when you do find your her...it's enough to "enter the annals."

It was now late at night and quiet inside though there were 3-4 girls whom I might be persuaded to pick in order to end this exasperating day on a high note. I chatted with a petite, very slender woman called Anis who wanted 600,000 Rp, but drawing from previous posts and conversions with local taxi drivers I made a counter-offer of 300K. Chatted with the German local expat sitting next to me who said 200,000 would suffice (he would know the going rate). So took her to my hotel and the next morning she wanted 400K and seemed pissed off with 300K. Next time I might be a little more generous but business is business. She was good in bed.

Monday late afternoon. The next day Arif said that he could put me into contact with a guy who was running a low-profile brothel. Brothels are often closed down by the authorities so he would not be able to take me to the location since a Westerner would be too conspicuous in the residential area which might blow their cover. Fair enough. We picked up his friend and discussed terms and conditions in the taxi. He suggested having 2 girls sent over by moped for inspection. Any pictures? No. I realised the futility of the situation as he does not understand I am picky and has not even inquired into what type of woman I favour -- a picture does say more than a thousand words here. Quarter of an hour later they duly came along on a moped and were only 6s or 7s. I politely declined. Afterwards night I headed back to Station Disco again but it was almost deserted. So Sunday must have been Ladies Night or something (don't miss it).

I stayed at the Weta Hotel in Surabaya, a 3-star business hotel along the river and good value at ~$20/night. Nearby Hotel Garden also appeared a good choice for bringing a girl back. Happy hunting.

If I get it right, Tretes is a bit like Bogor near Jakarta. A cool place where you can get away from the noise and the fumes.

I'll stick to the city proper in the beginning though, for I want to explore all its potentials.

Instead of Surabaya, move up to Tretes - one hour drive. There are 2 hotels and many villas which you can stay. As you reach there, the runners will get to you. Let him manage it for you. This place is up hill and cold weather. There are many houses in the area, your runner will take you around. Price Rp 200K to Rp300K for overnight.

At Surabaya, you can go down to Dolly and the price one year ago was Rp 65K for 1.5 hours. For Long Time they multiply the hours. You can get some FL along Jalan Sulaiman or Sudirman or something like that at night. Of course the disco and other facilities are easy to reach here compare to Tretes.

Hotel tip needed in Surabaya.

Planning a first visit to Surabay in April. Can someone recommend a good hotel for red-light action?

Location matters to me. I like my hotels not to be too far away from my regular night hang-outs. Like Mercury Rekso in Jakarta, a stone's throw from Stadium and half a dozen other flesh spots.

Pal of mine was in Surabaya and said it couldn't compare to Jakarta. Maybe he didn't stay long enough.

It was also mooted that Surabaya couldn't be as good as Jakarta because of its proximity to Bali. The most enterprising girls would go to Bali, where the money was better, rather than ply their trade in Surabaya. Don't know whether this ever was the case (or still is after the Bali bombings).

monger off to dr for a week of fun. answer your question on surabaya. it has the largest red light district in indonesia. everything an anything possible in this city. lot of the sanur bali prostitutes come from this city. lot of k11 type action here also.

Ok surabaya doesnt seem like a real hot spot but there are a number of hot girls to be had at the night club in the JW Marriott. I believe it is called JJ's, i hear on Wed. night the drinks are half off for women so there are alot of college girls there, its a nice club with 2 stories and a balcony overlooking the house band and bar. I dunno about any massage places or escorts but if your with some buddies drop by JJ's and have a look.

Actually i hear Tunjungan Plaza or "TP" is a hot spot for prostitution, again i haven't tried it so i'm not certain.

Anyone been there lately could brief me? I hope to make a short business trip sometime soon and would certainly like to know how the pro and amateur action is like.
Any cultural taboos as I understand the place is a bastion of extreme Islamism!
