I wasn't so lucky when I stayed in Yogyakarta for couple of nights back in April. I was desperate to get out of Jakarta and had a local young lady willing to show me around. First of all special thanks to Exit93 for posting his detailed report, it was like a Bible to me.

Then I thought of going to Surabaya, Java to visit the second largest red light district in the world – Dolly, but many people said it’s useless since it’s Ramadan; with Indonesia being the largest Muslim country, it really didn’t worth the detour, so I headed to Yogyakarta directly.

As I dropped off the bus in Sosrowijayan district, on Malioboro st. – I was immediately friends with this local guy who said he’s a ‘walker’ – lol. Anyway, I checked into Badok Hotel, on Sosrowijayan st. – great place, perfect English, tasty food, swimming pool, generous rooms for just 110k rupiah (11EUR). As you know, this is the ‘backpacker’ area of Yogyakarta and also the red light district. Guess what – not on Ramadan it isn’t! This local guide/buddy told me that the ‘pussy market’ is right around the corner and you can get a blow’n’fuck for 100k rupiah. So with this in mind, first evening I set off in search of the pussy market.

Just 30 meters down the street there’s the infamous Lucifer bar about which I had read online, known for hookers. Outside sat a couple of guys and two extremely hot chicks, so I decide to go inside for a drink. The place was completely deserted, because of Ramadan – not a single soul. Still, one of the chicks came to me and took my order, brought me my drink and then just sat at my table. I was thinking ‘oh yes, I get to fuck her? Wow!’. So she starts talking and we chat about all kinds of shit, I compliment her on her looks, etc. She pulls out a laptop and starts showing me pictures of her, adds me on facebook, etc. Her name is Danny – but she didn’t fuck for cash – or at least not now. I made a subtle proposition, but then she said she’s working and would rather go to a club with me later. From what I’ve read, I know these girls usually use you to pay for everything, get you super teased & stuff and then ask for ridiculous amounts of money for a fuck. I would’ve gone for it, but time is sex – so I’ve decided to continue looking for hookers – fuck all the temples, I’ve had enough.

Jl. Sosrowijayan, Jl. Pasar Kembang and around are completely deserted – no one, no hookers, no pimps, nothing. I hate Ramadan! All the addresses mentioned in this forum are nothing throughout my visit. Eventually after walking further down, a rather old lady was renting her daughters, hehe. ‘Massage?’ I replied ‘how much?’ ‘250’ ‘250k rupiah (25eur) is too much, I don’t want massage, how about sex?’ ‘yes, chic boom boom, 250k’. They wouldn’t bargain and they were like 6/10 so I kept walking. Further down, 6 guys in front of a house. Their apparent leader, a mean looking guy approached me ‘hey, you want girl?’ ‘sure, how much?’ ‘350k’ Jeeez! This guy was trying to rip me off – I knew from my guide/buddy the local rate is 100k. ‘Hey man I’m a student here in Yogya, I know the prices, don’t try to rip me off, I’m not a tourist’ ‘350k, no less because Ramadan, nowhere else you can find’ Great. ‘150k is all I have – c’mon, it’s not like I’ll be fucking you, I’m a student’. He wouldn’t have it, so I kept walking and he was right, there were no other places ‘open for business’. According to the international rules of bargaining, when you turn your back and make your first step towards leaving the seller shouts a lower price – this guy was stone cold! Apparently when you get to the Muslim version of hell it can get pretty nasty if you fuck for money during Ramadan, lol.

On Jl. Pasar Kembang there are some old ugly hags every now and then offering ‘massage’ but they’re so ugly I wouldn’t touch them if they paid me.
So disappointed I headed back to the hotel where I met with my guide/buddy. I told him about my evening and he said he’ll take me and get me a good price. Hopped on his motorbike and guess what? He rode us to the exact same place where the pimp was trying to rip me off. They talked for a bit and then he said ‘ok, ok – 300k for you, but you have to pay to him, now, best I can do.’ Hmm, so I wouldn’t get to see the girls beforehand, this could be risky maybe I’ll end up with a room full of old hags. But I was so horny I would’ve fucked a hole in the wall, so I asked to see the fishbowl. There were about 8 girls out of which two were young but not that pretty, maybe 6.5/10. For this kind of money I was expecting something nicer and although I would’ve gone Peter North on one of them, I could think of 10 different places where I could spend my hard earned currency, starting with Mickey D’s. Too bad you can’t stick your dick into a happy meal.

Second day at the hotel I woke up and took a swim in the pool where I hooked up with a German chick, Elsa. She was traveling with another girl – there are a lot of girls traveling in pairs of two in Yogyakarta. Anyway, I think Elsa went without a good fuck for longer than me because she fucked the brains out of me. It was like watching German porn as all I could hear was ‘Ja, ja, ja!’. Let’s just say I’m covered if I ever get to Stuttgart.

On the third day with Elsa leaving Yogyakarta, I decided to check out the Malioboro Mall recommended here on the forum. It was exactly as described – the hottest girls I’ve ever seen. You have to be careful at their English knowledge level and adjust your jokes/conversation to it so they can follow. At one point it’s a sure thing that they won’t follow the entire sentence you’re saying and they’ll grow frustrated, which is natural. So there are two possible scenarios – they’ll either jump you and you’ll get a fuck, so she can show you what she’s capable of (fuck your English, I’ll show you!), OR she can put an end to it and blow you away if she feels too frustrated/underestimated.

After the coffee, me and Ayu, the perfume girl, were on her motorbike heading to her place to watch a movie – I think this is the most convenient final pick-up punchline; they all like movies, it’s easy to understand, there’s enough room for interpretation, etc. I got so hard on the motorbike as I was holding her hips and yeah, working in the perfume shop all day she smelled like a fucking angel dipped in honey. In the Muslim world generally men are more religious than women and stick to their religious traditions harder. So I sit down and order, nice cozy atmosphere, the place was only half full and maybe it was wishful thinking, but there were several women without a male companion in there. Halfway through my ayan mie goreng & fries, I see a woman at about 28-30 looking my way and smiling. She was about 7.5/10, wearing a brown tight dress and short heels. So naturally I smile back and nod my head politely. Nothing happens for about 5 minutes, after which she simply comes to me and says ‘may I sit with you?’ Oh my god! Yeah, sure, have a seat. I shit you not, the conversation was like this ‘where from?’ ‘how old’ ‘I have a flat, 10 minutes drive, want to see?’
Needless to say, my jaw dropped, like I was living a fantasy. However when things seem too good to be true, they usually are, so I said ‘no money, ok?’ – maybe she was a hooker and I had it all backwards. She just smiled back and said ‘no money, yes’. You could see that she wasn’t really into talking pretty much, so I paid the bill and took off with Reddha. I didn’t have all my cash on me, neither my passport, so if she turned out to be part of some organ trafficking gang I’ll just miss a kidney maybe, haha.

I was in Lombok earlier in the year and thought it sucked.

Robert Long is right, there is not much of anything going on.

Had intended to spend a week in Senggigi, but it was so deadly boring in every respect that I cut my losses and baled out back to Bali on the third day.

I can only sit on the beach and watch the waves for so long.

Yeah it's pretty and if you want you can do jungle treks and climb Mt Rinjani, which I believe is the highest Indo mountain outside of Papua. But the food is miserable and the people surly and dishonest.

Like every Indonesian city, there is a very low rent short-time shack place (they are called wismas) in Mataram if you like chubs with stretch marks and garlic breath. Ask a cabbie.

2041 is correct that there are some massage joints in the shopping center on the main road in Sengggi. Went to one but it was very very ordinary. Lousy massage and perfunctory hand job.

I was in Gili Trawangan in late June this year.

It was billed in some British magazine as the "new" Ibiza.

I thought it was plain awful.

Full of 20 something European couples acting as if life is one giant trance party.

It's the only place in Indo where I've seen dope openly smoked, but the people doing it are so sickeningly self-conscious, like they are the first people ever to have a joint in public.

Trawangan is eye-wateringly expensive too since everything has to be shipped in including fresh water, the is food inedible, and I did not notice any mongering action of any sort (but I didn't care having taken a Kuta Cutie with me.)

She hated it too and we cut short our holiday and went back to Bali after two nights.

Sanur is quiet and peaceful. You can lay on the beach and on a clear day see Lombok.

But agree with 1Ball in the Bali posts, if you are under 30 stay in Kuta, over 30 and like to see the island and get layed everyday without the club thing
then Sanur.

Kuta and Seminyak are traffic nightmares, hucksters always hitting you up for everything you don't need, shitty overpriced food and a dirty beach.

there are a handful of massage places in senggigi in a couple of clusters of shops on the main drag. my experience is that ymmv. i got a couple of massages with happy endings, but did not find any lady who would do fs. another guy i spoke with had more success with fs. but in general, lombok is a cheap place to lie on the beach, surf, or snorkel, but it is not a place to go hobbying. sanur in bali is far better for that. if you've got game, you might score civvie chicks on the gili islands. as a fat balding older guy, i never tried.

merpati flies between denpasar and lombok, or you can take a speed boat. the flight takes about 20 minutes, the boat takes about 90 minutes. they both will end up costing you between $50-75 each way.

I was in Solo during that period & have been there before - long before I knew about this forum. I used to go to a fish bowl place on Jalan dr Supomo with a good choice. Last year with pleasant, nice and a little chubby Rinni for several nights.

This year I was severely disappointed. On arrival at the fish bowl place I was told it is no more. I then went with one of the rickshaw drivers, always eager to earn some extra money. Went back to Solo this July, and stayed at the Novotel again. Good room for 18 euros a night.

I reluctantly tried the becak men again, hoping last year's experience was just bad luck. And it was. The becak man drove me right to a fish bowl place (from the Novotel, go left, then the first main street right, then one of the first houses, so very close), with an adequate collection of girls. Sorry members, I made some faults from second to fourth line of my report. Here is now my complete report:

But here it happened the same disaster. 3 girls under average. I let him drive to the train station back. After wandering around I took a taxi to Hugo's Club in Sheraton Hotel, arrived there around 11. 30 pm The club was very crowded, but mostly from men. And the girls came mostly with men. I saw only a half dozen girls alone, but not my type. So I left this club short before 1 am.

It seems to me that Yogjakarta is really not a mongering spot. But I was not so unlucky not to have find a girl, because I had 5 hot nights before in Bangkok and Singapore. And maybe I could save my energy for the following days in Bali.
