... Wandered around to the fringe areas, and ended up east of the drinking area. Was surprised to find myself passing by the Maruko Inn, the place I had stayed before that was in the middle of nowhere! As it turns out, though, the SW have staked out the area just down the hill from the hotel. I believe there is a park nearby, too, along the river which is behind the hotel. After walking around the SW zone a few times, passing the same women two or three times, I got up the courage to ask one of them. My Japanese wasn't that good then; I said something like "Asobimashooka?", which is more for nampa than picking up a SW. Fukuyama is a small place, so the red light district shouldn't be too hard to find. It is not near the station, but accross the major highway (Route 2). If you go to the biggest shopping center, Port Plaza, there is a whole buch of love hotels and snacks on the right. Just walk around and see what you get offer (if anything) it is the best you can do.

As for Hiroshima-city, it is possible to get laid if you taste is 60 year old grandmothers. Not particularly my cup of tea. Considering how many foreigners visit Hiroshima each year, you would think the massive red light district they have would be more friendly.

Fukuyama is a small city of only 400,00 or so, so there is not much action to speak of. However when walking through the red light district. I had a young guy offer me sex with a SW for 13,000. Was just in Hiroshima on business last week. Together with two colleagues we went to the red light district to sample the local fare.
