My info is really old, as I worked at NAF Misawa from 88-91, then lived in Hachinohe til 99. I'd recommend looking up the Japanese American Friendship Club. They usually met once a week for general discussions to help locals with their English. They participate in local festivals and events too, and it's a good way to meet people, including some ladies. I had a fun FWB from there back in the day. The Yakuza closed off the Misawa sex shops to foreigners back around 1990, saying they caused fights, etc. Hachinohe had the DX / Manon, as noted 6 years ago. No idea if any of that still exists.

Once COVID is cleared up, do yourself a favor and put in the time to go to Thailand. It's a bucket lister for mongers that isn't replicated anywhere, though the FKK clubs in Germany are great too. Plus the food is awesome. Guam is nothing but a few dirty massage parlors. PI can be fun but you have to watch your back there.

Thanks for the reply! I've been to Germany a few months ago and nothing was open due to Covid still, and I read about Thailand on here and apparently COVID killed the bar scene in Bangkok and Pattaya apparently. I've heard and seen how Americans can get out of line here from experience so I understand why most of the underground places won't let us in. Hachinohe is pretty much a place to go for furniture nowadays nothing fun. Seems like the sex culture here died a while ago unfortunately. You can't even talk to a local at the bars here they just shoo you away.

I'm pretty convinced I was born in the wrong time. I love the Asian sex trade culture and it sucks that I can't experience it myself. Especially in these strange times of the pandemic and political instability. Hopefully I can get lucky one night soon and have an honest fun time. Sorry to whoever reads this but Misawa's sex culture may as well be dead. I've tried massage parlors, dating apps, and the club scene and it's left me hopeless. I'll try Pattaya soon and hopefully that's better than this BS. If anyone has something to add please don't be afraid to let me know.

So it's pretty obvious that times are different now. The last post for the Misawa area was in 2015. My question is are there any active people here now that can share some info on where to go for a good time? I know it's not as busy as the South with delivery help, but there has to be something up here that's entertaining. Also if the older guys want to chime in for pointers and directions please reply. I don't want to travel all the way to Thailand, Guam, or the Philippines.

I wish I had found this website 10 years ago. I was at Misawa from 2003-2006 and could have used a wingman while running through the gals at DX / Manon Strip Club, Garo's and J-Draw nightclubs. Awe, what memories!

I did some calling around a few months ago and the 2 companies I found that said they cater to foreigners were Wink and Gal Seed. I haven't tried them because the timing just hasn't worked out when I'm in the area long enough to set up a meeting. If anyone gives them a try, let me know (PM or on the forum).

How long ago did you call around? I agree that Galseed used to be foreigner friendly, but I'm not sure about now! It's better to call ahead before you check in to any hotels!

The last thing I will tell you is that even if you can speak Japanese, recently the delivery shops haven't been accepting foreigners. Not sure why, but it is there prerogative.

Can anyone tell me how the delivery thing works?

Well, depending on how good your Japanese is, you go to a love hotel, get a room, then call one of the delivery shops. You request a girl and if she is available, and willing, then she will soon come to the hotel you are at. Of course you have to tell the manager (tencho) this information. When the girl arrives, she will ask you what course you want, set her timer and call the shop to let them know. Then you proceed to the shower, and things go from there. In misawa, no full service is provided, but it is available in Iwate and Akita! The last thing I will tell you is that even if you can speak Japanese, recently the delivery shops haven't been accepting foreigners. Not sure why, but it is there prerogative.

I'm still around, but I've been so busy that I haven't been able to really check anything out. I'm still new enough here that I don't even know where these "rub and tugs" exist at. Going down to Tokyo next month though, so at least there's that. Hoping for a windfall around here though; in the meanwhile, can someone give a better description of where to find the smattering of places in Hach and Misawa?
