Just a follow up to AK's post.

I get really good call rates and I do a lot of the things AK's friend does. I walk slowly, I smile at all the girls, I check them out like I want to fuck them, and I often tell them when I thing they're cute. "kawai naaaa. Sugoiiiii. Etc. " Sometimes, I just go up to the door and talk to the mama-san's, although my J isn't great, they usually reciprocate.

Also, I probably helps that I'm an average size white guy. They can't tell I'm not Japanese until they get a look straight in my face.

People have posted here about 60%+ call rates in Tobita. To me, where my call rate hovers around 0-5%, this was always some sort intangible fantasy. That is, until I saw it for myself.

A friend from the states came up to Osaka, and he wanted to see the finest the city had to offer. Of course, that meant a trip out to Tobita. We made our way through the initial streets with the old ladies, and then a few nicer selections until finally hitting the main street. He looked like I’d taken him to heaven instead of a red light district in some scummy part of Osaka. And really, I had. I can remember my wonderment my first time here.

What wowed me though, was that he had a wonderful call rate. There were a few girls/mamas an who made it a point to look away, or those who would start to call out, realize that we were foreign, then laugh at their mistake and retreat back inside. But for the most part he was getting accepted – at least an 80% rate.

It was especially funny because we were walking together. I’d thought that my presence would lower his potential rate dramatically, but the mamasan and girls treated us as two separate entities. Just seeing the contrast on their faces as they looked at us was worth the trip alone.

Looking at him: Well…okay. He’s foreign, but…yeah, maybe. It’s a slow night, why not?
Looking at me: Holy cow, it’s a servant of the devil! Don’t we have any holy water laying around somewhere?!

He’s a very non-threatening kind of guy, so I guess its easy to see why they reacted so differently to us. I’m not threatening at all…but I suppose at a first glance I can be. I was insanely envious of his wonderful call rate.

I noticed some other things he did that I don’t necessarily do. He took his time, walked slowly, looked directly at the girl while smiling at her. There’s no mistaking why he’s here, he’s obviously not some lost foreigner and he knows what’s up. I don’t breeze through, but I don’t walk that slowly either, and I don’t stop and take good looks at the girls either. I could probably smile more as well. I’d like to go back one day and try out this approach, see if my success rates go up any. I’d be thrilled at just 50%.

Anyway, the results of our mongering. After going through main street once, we hit up a few of the other side streets. I showed the shop with Makoto and Suzu, where I’m very welcome. We go back to the shop, and I explain to the mamasan and the girl that he knows the score, and he’ll do a 30 minute course (he later changed to 20).

I wasn’t planning on doing any mongering at all…but what can I say? It’s hard to resist the charms of Tobita. I went back to the other shop and asked for Makoto. The mamasan called her out, and she came out wearing a nurses outfit with glasses. Wowzers. She asked if I remembered her, and seemed happy that I had. A real challenge to find if you don't know where to look. Even with instructions from the tencho it took me 10 minutes-and I was 2 blocks away!

Look at the photo attached. If you can get yourself in this position you will be in front of the door.

The trick is to find the YMCA, then walk south about 20m until you are in front of the Mielle Coffee shop (some name like that). Do not make the mistake I made of trying to find it next to the Hilo coffee shop to the left of the YMCA. The door to Osaka Fats is to the right of the Mielle Coffee shop. It has Kentucky written on it (sidesways in small white letters), but otherwise is very non-descript.

The tencho is a nice guy who says he gets calls from foreigners, but only 2 have actually made it to the shop. He is nervous about trying to explain how to find it and the menu in English, but once you are there you should be OK.

They had about 12 girls working the day I went. 2/3 were busy and had wait times of 30-90 minutes, but I managed to pick a decent "slender" type (relatively slender that is).

The girl was not as cute as in the pict, but I would say the picts are pretty accurate. Nice D/E cups, which of course was the whole point of goingt to OF. Perhaps a 6-7/10 on a I-like-big-gals scale.

I haven't done any P4P in over two months because I've been getting better at my Nampa action, but the other day I was out for a long ride with a friend and we when through Tobita to check out the scene. We didn't stop that night, but I couldn't get it out of my mind and I had to go back the next night.

Tobita is a trap for me because every time I go, I have to fuck two or three girls and it's hard for me to figure out which ones will be fun from the way they present themselves. They can be very good actors before you talk to them and mostly they let the mama-san do the talking.

Does anyone know the street scene in Osaka these days. There were some reports a few years back about Latinas and Thai's in the Umeda area. I've been looking around in the places mentioned, but haven't seen anything.

If you walked down Midosuji from JR Umeda to Ohatsu Tenjin Shrine at 2-5-4, Sonezaki, Kita-ku (this shrine is noted as the setting of the famous story "Sonezaki Shinju" - Lover's Suicide at Sonezaki) on the left in Higashi-Sonezaki and continue walking along that street for about 3 main blocks then you would run a gauntlet of street mama-san's supposedly selling veggies as fronts for Thai girls. This is also a love hotel and red light area. If you see the sign "Grand Calm" in big neon then you know you're heading in the right direction. Don't know if this has changed recently.

Recently stayed near Hankyu Minamikata Station? In the north part of Osaka.

The area I'm referring to is bounded by Shin-Osaka station to the north, Hankyu Minamikata station to the south and the Osaka Midosuji subway line station Nishinakajima-Minamigata to the west. The Yodogawa-ku area north of the Yodo river.
