I seem to have found a setup west of amagasaki station like those in Tobita. I was there late at night and noticed a lot of drunk businessmen in the area. After looking around, I saw the little lighted rooms, mamas and girls. They looked to be in their 20s and 30s. I was trying to catch my last train, so I didn't get any additional info. I don't think I've seen anyone mention this area before.

I guess you found Kannami Shinchi. A couple of years ago, I posted a Japanese link with most of the red light districts, including that one. I can't find my old post, and I don't have that link anymore, but I got a new one.

Let me give you a report about my latest experience in discovering Kobe. It was a Saturday late afternoon and I actually thought of walking through Fukuhara near JR Kobe. I heard and read about it and according to the obviously existing "non-Gaijin policy" I did not expect too much (see e. G. http://www.21orover.com/japan/nws/fukuhara). Just to have an eye on it.

To make it short: I was just invited to a club to try out and enjoy. As a real Gaijin. While coming from Tamon-dori and Kosoku-Kobe station, turn right at the Fukuhara Yanagisuji street gate (first gate on the right) , turn left at the corner of "Proud" and right away turn right, opposite of the "Super Fashion" ad. Walk like 100 m up the street and after the "M-Doll" you see a shop with yellow signs on a blue background (don't ask me for the signs.). And the door guy said Hello, and invited me to enjoy one hour for 12'000 JPY or more (time&JPY). I was extremely surprised but thought of trying this out, because that was the last I expected here after various reports and I found a quite clean place. The lady was a little bit chubby but she gave blowjobs like hell. She really tried to suck my brain off with passion and all her skills, and she liked a real good fuck, no limits. So it might be worthwile to check out more in Fukuhara.

I have visited this place three times now, straightforward affair, Y7500 for 30 minutes, free beer. I speak no Japanese, but the tout is very friendly and inviting. Mind you, the place

Thanks to Hatguy for pointing out this place. I tried to find it on googlemaps before I went, but had difficulties. I'll try and clarify it a little more:

There are several stations in Tennoji, both Railway and subway. No matter how you arrive there, try and find the Kintetsu department store. There is actually a subway station

Underneath it. Exit the department store in southerly direction, the subway station you are leaving is called Osakaabenobashi. You will immediately see the HOOP department store. Do.

Not enter it but turn left, the second street on the right is where Club Queen is.

If you search googlemaps with Hoop Tennoji and Osaka, you'll get a map. To the right of Hoop there is a P on the map, that's the block where it is.

I walked past the outskirts of tobita really early the other morning and it was dead. Its definitely an afternoon to midnight operation there. Infact last time I went upstairs in one place the girl said "theres only 20mins as we are closing. Sorry."

Best time to go? According to a guy I met there that drops hundreds of thousands there a month (verified) AFTERNOONS are the best time.

I definitely do not look Asian and speak no Japanese, which was no problem for them, so apparently there are some massage places in the Sannomiya area that will take non-Japanese.

Good chance that those girls don't speak much Japanese either, nor English. Previous reports on this type of operation suggest you might get relieved of a lot of cash, and still not get a positive memorable experience. You did the right thing by ignoring them.

For those curious about Yoko:

I've met her about 4 or 5 times. She's probably in her mid 40's, and a nice woman, single working mom (so be nice to her!). She's not the best lay in the world, and kind of looks a bit rough, but if you're into that, like I am, then it's not bad.

In other craigslist news, I had a fun weekend with one of the craigslist "gangbang my wife" posters. For once it was not some African scam artist, but a real Japanese couple. We had two Japanese guys, one black guy and two white guys (me included).

I will share a little tidbit from my last trip to Japan about 6 months ago. I was out drinking in the party area northwest (exit the station on the mountain side and take a left) of Sannomiya station, and was headed down one of the tiny semi-dark alleys to a bar called the Pirate Bar, basically just because I thought the name was funny (and all the writing was in English). As I was headed up the alley. 2 not bad looking (but not great) Chinese or Korean girls basically attack me and start dragging me into this building saying that they will give me "good massage." Unfortunately I was more interested in the drinking at that time, so I did not partake but I should have in hindsight.

Looks like I will have a couple of extra days in Osaka during my upcoming Japan trip. I have tried to contact Yoko through the Craigslist add, but have been unsuccessful. I would really appreciate it if someone could PM me her contact info. If we do hookup I will let the board know how it goes.

I also plan to do the Tobita thing, I think I have it figured out how to get there. I am new to the Osaka area and speak almost zero Japanese, so it should be quite an adventure. I'll also report on my luck here too.

But if things didn't change during the past few months, you will see that most of the places will accept you. But if you can speak some Japanese, the only one that should let you go in (with a surtax. Price for 60 or 70 minutes+5000Yen) is a soapland named "Club Juliana".

Not the highest rank, but a good experience if you want to have a try.

However, when I was at Fukuhara, I would say to the doorman,"nihon-go chotto, daijobu?", which basically means,"is it ok that I don't speak japanese?". I was rejected by a few places, but eventually found one that was alright with it. My 40 minute session at a soapland was 17, 000yen; payed up front, then proceeded to the waiting area. I didn't like the first girl, so I had them change her for an extra 1, 000yen (basically it's 1, 000yen if you want to specify a girl).

The session was quite fun, like Japanese AV. Lots of soap and rubbing, then BBBJ. I think that cim was an option here because she was really going at it. I had to tell her to cap me so that she would ride me a bit. Enthusiastic girl, a little on the thick side (but that's because I specified big boobs; lesson learned).
