Sorry to hear about your misadventures with happymail grossman! Hi Basement, I can't comment on the Tokyo scene, only the Osaka one, but yeah, there still is some fear of foreigners at certain places and with certain girls. It's not universal though and you can find some good places that will treat you right once you get to know them.

My policy is always be polite to the tencho (manager) and staff at ANY shop. Even when they refuse me, I say sorry for bothering them and leave with a smile. Always be nice. It's the only way things might change and I feel if I behave myself like a gentleman then I might leave an impression that will help in future dealings they may have with other forieiners. In any case, I don't know the realities of their business, and they might not be personally racist but it's just that their clients tend to have the phobia so they can't be seen to allow foreigners in because of that. I understand that. It's just business.

But for individual girls who refuse me because I'm a gaijin, then they get totally fucking ignored. Racist people are generally lower class, uneducated and I feel better not associating with them.

Just wanted to check in and let you know what's been happening since my last Happymail (mis) adventure.

Well, ever since my last disaster with the Happymail no-show, I've been tooling around for a few weeks in the imasugu section looking for someone else in Osaka who might fit my bill. Slender. 30's and dirty, but didn't find many prospects that suited me. Then, last week, I found someone that seemed reasonable and could meet me in Namba. Great! I booked it.

When I arrived down in the Namba (yotsubashi-suji) area I got an email that she had some errands to run and would be about an hour late. Ooooooh yeah, an hour late. Well, I thought, it was my wife's birthday, so I had to get her a present anyway, so I pushed off to Takashimaya to pick up something for the wife and to kill the time before meeting this new working girl. People sometimes give me shit about this, but the fact is that I'm always thinking about my wife, because that's just the kind of husband I am.

Anyway, after I picked up some shit for my wife, I went back to the place to meet the girl and she turned up within about 5 minutes of her appointed time. I was standing under the trees in the shade about 100 yards away so I could at least see her and verify that she was 'as advertised' before approaching. Damn if from a distance she didn't look OK! Nice and trim, about 30 why / o and well dressed. The game was on.

So I went up to her and said "Hi xxxx, I'm Grossman". She made eye contact for about a nanosecond, then said "hi" back. I didn't get a great vibe from her at the time, but, well, I thought she might be shocked that I'm a gaijin (I hadn't mentioned that fact previously) or just nervous, but anyway she didn't recoil so I led her off to a very nearby love hotel.

Once we got inside the hotel elevator, on the way to the room, I tried to make some smalltalk, as one does, and I got only yes / no answers to everything. I cracked a joke, but there way no response. I was afraid I'd caught a cold fish.

Enter the Twilight Zone. This girl was a total fuck-doll. A meat-puppet. She'd turned herself "off" emotionally and mentally for the whole time I was with her. But she was compliant (mostly) to what I asked of her in a sexual nature, but totally non-responsive to any human emotion at all. She never even made eye contact with me even once after that nano-second at the meeting spot. She never said a word that wasn't either yes or no in response to a question I'd asked. Fucking weird.

Compliant but empty. No fun at all. I went home with an empty ballsack and an empty feeling that I'd just fucked a blow-up-doll.

And after this second kind-of-failure with Happymail, after all my other mongering via legitimate deriheru sites or pink salons or what have you, have all been more than spectacular successes, it gave me pause to think about why these girls on Happymail are so fucking weird.

Think about it, this must be one of the places where girls who can't get clients at regular institutions go to. Either they're too weird, too picky, or too whatever. And then it got me thinking that places like Happymail might also be the kind of place that girls who can't pass STD tests go to find work.

I'm exercising caution from now on. Not just for STD's but because my whole experience so far with the girls on the Happymail site has been far less than adequate.

I've seen some of you other guys have had some good experiences, and that's great, but I'm going back to the tried and trusted.

this is the first time i've posted in the kansai section. although i'm in tokyo, i am posting here as i've seen several guys here who seem to be experienced in happymail / keitai dating in japanese etc. i'm looking for any advice if anyone has any.

a funny thing is i noticed a blacked out transit van on the street behind me with 2 or 3 cute girls inside and a japanese dude vaguely glaring at me from the door. i wonder if they drive these girls around like semi pros, or if it was just a coincidence.

so i was left holding blue balls and honestly couldn't be bothered to find another girl. i may try later this week. do you guys think i could've played it any different? what has your experiences been with this kind of thing? i thought the whole fear of foreigners thing would not be an issue, but i guess even being half a foreigner is not good enough. damn.

Double thanks! Got a chance to check the site on a PC (vs mobile) , saw the map and that place is very convenient for me and easy to find (super important!). I'll be in the area soon and hopefully TOFTT going there as a gaijin with just some Japanese; I'll report back how it goes, and even if bad, club amour isn't too far away.
