Hey all, I'm going to tokyo in a week or so and I am kinda nervous since I don't know any japanese. Is it easy to order food and do you have trouble getting around?

You don't need to know Japanese to visit Tokyo. 1000's of restaurants have English menus or photos that clearly depict what you are ordering. Some of the small izakayas will have Japanese only but you can use Google Translate camera to translate Japanese to English. If you still find things difficult, there's always McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Denny's, etc.

Yamanote Line that's all you need to know. It circles Tokyo. You can't get lost. The massive train stations like Tokyo, Shinjuku, etc now that's another story altogether. Google maps is your best friend there. Even Japanese use it to find stuff.

Will be next 2 weeks in JP for the first time, after long waiting to play with real JP ladies. Staying in an APA hotel in Shinjuku.

1) Will certainly try ROBODELI but I am a bit confused if (not knowing japanese) it will be better to book directly on their Line address or through Cityheaven.

Well, let me update on my quest, even if I did not get much help.

1) Pink salons in Kabukitcho: Found and tried de 2 I mentioned, but was rejected (politely) with "Only Japanese". So I had no other choice to take the train to Sugamo.

2) Next to Sugamos station, found the BJ street without problems and entered JanJan. Welcome but needed to pay 4 k in small notes. I seem to have been the first visitor that day and the (grumpy) recptionist could not handle 10 k bill. Then escorted to a seat and seconds later a girl was named on the PA system to join me.

Karin it was. She is a young lady, slim and very friendly. Small boobs hanging from baby feeding suppose but then we don't come for a beauty contest, nor can I participate in one.

I have to say that this is a real massage parlour with no shorts away moment, but I really want to mention it because after walking +25 k steps a day I really needed it!

4) Tried ROBO DELI but as my hotel seemed not to be very friendly to external services with permanent guards in the lobby + key entrance to the elevators, I went to include one of the countless love hotels of the place into my experience. Chosen Listo Hotel as one of the nearest.

First made reservation by Line app without any problem. They sent you a question list in English and you fill it out with your options. So I did ask for the lady I liked of the day schedule and ok for 1 HR later in the Listo Hotel.

Off I went and the hotel was ok. Choose rooms on tactile screens at the lobby and was helped very friendly to get to the rooms and pay in a machine inside the room. Funny: I was then "locked" inside my room but recalled that is the system in these places where they don't' want customers bumping to each other in the elevators.

20 m later a tiny lady called at the door.

The service, unfortunately, was very very standard. Yes, she did the service and was kind but it had nothimg of what this place announces as Unique and Different to all in the world!

I asked for the Robot 2 style + Ero 3, option Immediate raw + DeepTh; which more or less would get me "violated" as soon as I opened the door and what I got was a very shy lady that was like a first timer approach.

5) Tried to contact the "kiwami-dendoushi" shop, but they didn't reply to my Line until next day with some lame excuse that Line was slow, even if other shops answered in 1 min. So they lost me.

Conclusion: Very happy to have visited Japan and will come back even with the 19 h flight, but for sex I am far better off in Spain!

While the Japanese media may be playing up this idea of 'overtourism', cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama are absolutely well equipped to handle and service tourists, including those who can't speak a word of the language. The Japanese are well aware of the fact that Japanese is a difficult language to pick up. Most restaurants in popular areas have English menus, as well as menus that feature pictures of the food item along with their prices nearby. While many Japanese don't feel confident in speaking English, many of them understand it perfectly fine as long as you use basic words, speak at a reasonable pace, and don't use long run on sentences. Furthermore, the Japanese absolutely appreciate 'effort', if you simply attempt to speak a few Japanese words to get your point across, even if you stumble terribly, it will earn you a lot of goodwill and people will go out of their way to help you.

Upon entering an establish, I'd watch how people order and how they pay. Do you use a tablet? A ticket machine? Or are you waiting for a waiter or waitress to come by? When it comes time to pay, are people paying ahead of time? Waiting to ask for their check? Or are you given a slip that you take up front to pay once you're finished? Just knowing those basic details can help with avoiding awkward interactions if you don't speak Japanese. And remember, if you mess up, they won't be mad at you.

Be respectful, soft spoken, use an appropriate volume / tone of voice and you'll be perfectly fine. The Japanese LOVE showcasing their country to visitors and that absolutely includes food. They WANT you to enjoy it. Have a great time!

I don't speak any Japanese, but I felt completely comfortable and fun in Japan in the last few visits. Japanese are very polite and civilized. Women are gentle, trusting and helpful, always smile sweetly and giggle innocently like little school girls. Looks like women are well protected and cared for in Japan. Quite a few times I fumbled with ticket machines in train stations or coffee machines in convenient stores, nice, good-looking young women noticed and just came over to help out. These women are nice, noble and caring. I wanted to hug and kiss them.

I would stay in Shinjuku near Shinjuku Tower where hundreds sex shops, restaurants and bars serve all kinds of food, funs and kinky sex. Never had problem ordering food or sex. I had to catch a plane early one morning, just walked to the shop with my luggage, quickly had a hot bowl of the best duck soup anywhere, hailed a cab to the train station to get out to Narita airport.

Also went to a few AYCE yakinikus, AYCE Wagyu steak and sushi houses, in Kabukicho area in Shinjuku, most have on-line reservation for 2 people min, but a few would serve single diners, AYCE delish grilled and hot pot wagyu beef $40-50.

For girls and sex, Hentai and Soapland have offices within walking distances of the Tower with English-speaking workers. You can book appointments online, or just walk into their offices and check their selections and walk to love hotels next door. Hentai also delivers girls to your hotel for $20 service charge.

I tried out two massage shops this week. Asian Feeling (Shinjuku) and Miss Puke (Ueno).

6-hour layover in Haneda should be enough time to visit the Hentai club in Shinjuku. Depending on what time, it should be open 24/7.

Take the TOKYU express bus to the Shinjuku Tower terminal. Ticket counter is in the arrival terminal with signs "Express Bus" or "Limousine. " Only half hour ride to Shinjuku Tower and a short walk to the Hentai Club. Hentai girls can suggest plenty love hotels within short walking distances.

Check bus schedule for the ride from Shinjuku Tower back to Haneda, or take UBER or taxi. Should not cost a lot.
