Jan Jan in Sugamo is indeed open, I was there last week. Still seedy, but they welcome gaijin as always. Dropped by late afternoon, there were a couple of older Japanese salarymen there, and maybe 3-4 women. I drew an average-looking but service-oriented woman in her mid-30's, I'd guess. Not eye candy, but slim and friendly, and she certainly got the job done, with lots of roaming allowed. Still Y3000 to bust a nut BBBJ in classic Japanese blow-bar style.

Sucks that good japanese is needed when a lot of girls don't speak it well anyways and might be better off with english. Was hoping to check out kandeli since it's less than half the cost of a korean provider in the US, but seems like I need to work on my japanese first LOL.

You will need good Japanese to access, and even then the shops will mostly not serve people who aren't East Asian (Japanese, Korean, Chinese). The girls are hit or miss. If you haven't been to Tokyo before, Shinjuku will blow your mind. So many little clubs and restaurants and neon. It's breathtaking. You prob can't go wrong staying there as the subway can take you anywhere else fast and Shinjuku is a great base. So set up shop there and let the party begin. I'll let others tell you more about what else to see and do.

Interesting. Is Paradise actually closed? I never been there but did see their website. The website appears to be live with current dates. Unless it is a copycat site.
