short version was that i paid 1 man yen for an okay massage and a happy ending, and i'm not really sure why.

Just about everything else that is available is inconsistent or based on trial and error.

I would presume this is because unlike most of the other countries in the area all services in Japan are mainly for the local clientele. I called the Shibuya shop today and they said gaijin were OK as long as you can speak Japanese.
