Spent a little over a month in Japan from the end of September to November. Wanted to check out some of the options while I was in Tokyo before heading to Osaka. After going through pages arguments, cryptic reports, and conflicting information, I decided to cross reference with some other forums including Japanese ones. Ending up going to Y (Y-Shirt Watashi). From some other reviews, I got a list of girls who were popular / recommended a lot and checked their schedule (Can be found on dozens of websites). A little more information about me: Don't know Japanese and I'm Black.

I get there around noon and the workers there happily welcome me in. Didn't even need to ask if foreigners were okay. Take my shoes off and they ask me if I had been before. I say no and they ask me some simple follow up questions before sending me to a waiting room. There was one other guy also in the waiting room. Same man comes back and gives me a list of cards with pictures and names on them (same pictures from their website). I ask about one of the girls I saw from another review and he told me she wouldn't be in until later. He recommended another girl and decided to roll the dice. (Spoiler, ended up seeing her four times) Turns out that was just the pre-waiting room. I was then taking to another waiting room right across the hall. Same man asks me how long I want and writes down the prices for each time slot. Each girl has a different "Rank" with slightly different pricing and different timing. Ended up doing 70 for 25,000. He comes back with my change in in less than a minute. Another minute later, I'm out the door and around the corner to another building to meet the girl. Every visit after the first one was done in their original building though.

When I finally meet her, she is super bubbly and smiley. She's slightly below average height for a Japanese girl with short hair that doesn't go past her shoulders. It is her in the pictures but exaggerated in typical gravure / magazine style. She's physically very cute and her personality adds a lot to it. Her English is about as good as my Japanese, so not very. The room has a bed with towels for bedsheets. A tub that has already been running, and a shower hose. We talk for a little bit using google translate and our limited vocabulary and get comfortable. She gives me a basket to put my stuff in, including my clothes. She's very hands on and giggly while we undress. She's playfully shy as we undress before we get to the shower. She directs me to one of those famous soapland chairs. She mixes some soaps together before giving me a thorough and intimate wash. Once I'm clean enough, she directs me to the tub which is overflowing with hot water at this point. I get in as calmly as I can but water still ends up splashing everywhere. We then do some quick oral hygiene with a disposable toothbrush and some pretty weak mouthwash.

After all the routine has ended, she shuts off the water. Just as calmly, she tries to get into the tub without disturbing too much of the water. Still, it erupts everywhere and she's still giggling about it. With her on top of me in the tub, she leans in very close and kisses me like she had known me her whole life. GFE would be an understatement. She reciprocated in every way, sometimes I had to catch up to her energy. I could feel her smiling with some slight moaning inbetween each kiss. We shuffled around in the water as I got a feel for her body, not shying away from any eye contact. If you are new to soaplands, this is the make or break point that'll likely sell you. After the bath, she asks me if I want to use the giant inflatable matt. I declined so I can't speak for that. At this point, I could go on and on about our time. Multiple positions, giving and receiving, multiple pops. Everything that I needed was on the table, but of course YMMV depending on your needs and the girl. Like I said earlier, I ended up seeing her 4 times. Each time was so much better than the last and we got more comfortable with each other. Even had a fun day of role reversal where I sat her in the chair and cleaned her.

The reason why she is not named is because she asked me not to, which is fair. Ended up getting her number and her real name. Was even able to break a few soapland rules and get some pictures, although I wouldn't count on this. Even if you are just a regular old sex fiend uninterested in GFE, this soapland has cheaper options / timeslots as low as 12,000円 for 40. Alright, give me just one documented case of a male customer being picked up for talking to a girl at Okubo. Extra points if the guy was held for 25 days.

Dod service member happened last year, made the military blotter for the local area. He was held for 5 days before released no charges by the Japanese. So yes it did happen and there is way more than that. Unfortunately there is no way to Google it as unlike the US they don't report all detentions. The best you'll get is word of mouth you'll only hear about major raids. I know about the dod guy because have a friend who works on the base with there security guy.

Be very wary of "experts" telling you cock&bull stories about the dangers of Tokyo, and that you are liable to land in jail unless you frequent a certain foreigner-friendly establishment. It's a well-known scam here on ISG, targeted at naïve tourists fresh off the boat. As long as you don't go with a Nigerian tout, or listen to the advice of said "experts," wonderful Tokyo is one of the safest towns in the world. Tokyo offers one of the world's widest spectrums of erotic offerings, so don't sell yourself short by going to always the same overpriced tourist trap.

Unless you pick up an obviously underage girl (age of consent in Tokyo is 18) nothing will happen to you. Men getting arrested and charged for consorting with prostitutes are unheard of. In any case, prostitution is narrowly defined as penis in vagina, everything else, including anal, is fair game. Okubo has received embarrassing media coverage, so occasionally, there are police sweeps where girls are picked up, carted away ... and let go. These sweeps are more common towards the end of the year.

Just to be safe, always carry your passport (or gaijin card) on you, it's the law in Japan, and lack of a passport can be a welcome technicality to hassle you.

What they can do is detain you for up to 25 or so days, yes 25 plus days. Thats 25 days without you seeing a lawyer or talking to anyone they don't want you to. They also use some enhanced interrogation tactics. No they won't water board you. They will sleep deprive you, play werid random music. Put you in stress physicsl postions. For Americans all there required to do is notify the embassy that they are holding you. So unlike th states where you can just pay bail and leave your going to be stuck there. Thats the risk we warn you about not a conviction or arrest. As a foreigner one of two things will happen they will either see the ganjin card he mentioned let you go cause they don't want to deal with it or if it's a bad day they will hold you for the 25 days and mess with you because of your ganjin card. They don't worry about you jumping on the news and screaming false arrest Japanese police are very smart about what they do.

I know of a US service member arrested for trying to pick up a prostitute, one of the things they did prior to his detention is photograph him standing next to the girl. Showing the same girl he attempted to pick up. Also they had pictures of where she was standing the area and everything. Sure all these smart excuses might work, I was just asking directions, I was looking for somewhere maybe. But let me tell you guys this right now unlike the US where the girl will deny it to the end. These girls will admit to being a prostitute in a heartbeat. If asked why they were going somewhere with you they will sing like a canary. Now add that in with all the pictures even if they don't convict you the court of public appeal will. Oh yeah the Japanese never charged the service member or arrested him just detained for 3 days. It's why I also say those statistics aren't true. They did turn over all the pictures to the dod that picked him up.

Also the last part the for Okubo the reasons the police crack down on those areas and why most of us who live in Japan avoid them is because the vast majority of girls who use it are underage cause they can't do it the legal way. So add that in that you were talking to an underage girl. Before all of you jump in and say you'll be able to tell if the girls is underage yeah good luck with that. Be safe out there, to many other options that are just as fun. There are message boards and a whole bunch of other stuff out there for the kinky risk stuff. Just had my first car hook up heading to a gangbang in bar on Thursday.

I am returning to Tokyo, and mongering, for the first time in about 10-12 years, and will be sure to report my adventures.

This is a very long shot question, but I'm sure I would have got the original information off this site, but I can not find it now.

On my last trip to Tokyo I visited a building which I'm fairly certain was just inside the red light area in Shinjuku. Up on about the 6th floor there was a reception that was the entrance to a strip show with about 6 little booths surrounding the small centre stage. After the performer was finished she went around to each private booth and gave the customers each a HJ.

This was a fun experience, and would like to take a friend there for the novelty of it. So if anyone can remember, or knows of it, please let me know.

As a white tourist I know mongering will be challenging, but I'm sure it'll be fun. I plan on giving MilkyBaby a try, and also a few of the soaplands and pink salons reported on here.
