As a regular punter at HM (its 10 minutes from the office so hard to resist), i was a little dismayed a couple of weeks ago to find it shut one morning.Went back again last week to find they have re done the place. The top of the stairs and payment booth and waiting area is exactly the same, but once you go in that vast room with the crazy circular mirror is now I would estimate a 3rd of the size. Its like they built a wall at the old Row 5. This is not a surprise as generally I have found it pretty empty. The downside is that there is considerably less privacy (not that there was huge amount before). All seats are facing in the same direction as before, but because it is that much smaller, you are in closer proximity with other punters than you might like. As everyone should know - making eye contact or blimping at other punters or girls is very poor etiquette. Please no one fuck it up for us so it goes the way of Supergirls. All other aspects of the service are still the same (8K "no choice", 10K "choice". It does seem that the quality of the girls in the evening is higher. Still gaijin friendly but making the effort with Nihongo does no harm. To be fair, there's not much point in this post unless you name names.
