It's been a long time since I had the opportunity to do a walk about. So I thought I would go back and take a walk down memory lane to the Hinodecho area. This occured during the daylight hours (1200-1500) so this is a round up of daylight activity.

First stop was the strip club just outside the Hinedecho station near the KFC. Cover charge is 4000 yen and they do allow foreigners in. Usual crowd of older guys, salary men on lunch, and guys who are probably the Hikikomuri (shut in types) there. The women I saw today were rather pleasing for daytime strippers and actually did put a bit of creativity in their stage shows. As usual you get the men clapping when things finally get taken off, and afterwards the girls will pose for a polaroid for 1000 yen, but for today's visit, no audience participation. I have gone into that spot before when they had a BDSM experience, and saw a few audience members go willing on stage to get "pissed" on but not today.

Made my way back to the location of the old strip club that was shut down by vice cops a few years back. It was next to the Pink Lion place and it is totally gone. Such a shame. The Pink Lion still refuses to let gaijin in.

It looked like a smaller soapie / massage place, so I asked how much and I think the full course was about 10,000-12,000 yen for 70 min. She spoke little English, and my Japanese is not too good, so she pointed at the clock and said "3" so I took that to mean 30 min so I left and went walking down the street to check out the other establishments. I found another just down the street from this one on the third floor and the door was locked, but as I left a yound Chinese looking lady came to the door and I assume she was with someone else (set of shoes in the hallway) and said busy. So I left and continued to walk around. Found a few other larger places with the "18" sign in them and tried to enter, but got the cold polite "no gaijin. " Made it back to the one shop and went in, and mamasan was still busy, and I think she said someone else was coming in, but I finally understood that she meant 3 pm, and I didn't want to spend another hour waiting so I called it quits.

As I was walking along the street going towards the Koganecho station and I saw a sign for a massage place on the 2nd floor. Went up and knocked on the door, which was locked but as I turned away it opened and a young Chinese lady appeared. I asked if gaijin were ok, got a yes. Went in and looked at the menu, a he massage would cost 9000 yen (60 min). I only pulled 7,000 and told her that's it. She took the money, made a phone call and said ok. Routine clothes off, used my own towelettes I brought to wipe and she began with the regular rushed rub and tug. I had to slow her down and ask her to use small amounts of oil. She didn't allow me to touch at all, and she did try to make it worth while, but overall, it was an unanthusiastic he. Glad I didn't pull out the exter 2,000 for that. Left that spot, and walked to the main street in front of Koganecho station and made it back to sunny Yokosuka. This place is easy to find, take a right outside Konganecho, cross the river and it is on the left, second floor across from a Pachinko place.

My personal observations, things ain't what they used to be. Hinodecho used to be a great place for us gaijin to take the edge off, but not anymore. I am sure that there are more street walkers out in the evenings but overall, the industry really looks down on us gaijin. Interersting since all of the problems that they have in these places (and they do have them) all come from the Japanese males and not us. Looking at the guys in the strip clubs, the shut in types, there really isn't any reason why a man in Japan can't get laid. There is just too many opportunities available to him if they only tried.

I think that the Japanese women (none sex worker types) need to be aware of this fact also and maybe come down off some of their high horses and start treating their men a little better from what I have been reading. If I were Japanese and in a none sex marriage, wouldn't mind it at all as long as there were places where I can go take the edge off and not put up with any BS.

For the women in the massage places, I would say to them if they treated every customer like the high paying ones, they may get repeat service and guys would come around and pay full price. From what I have seen with some of the mechanical process from some of them, I wouldn't pay much more for someone who is just going to lie there and do nothing. A little enthusiasm goes a long way in my book.

There are actually many places everywhere. The question is more of whether or not they offer the extra services. Some places it's mostly just a HJ, but each place it's ymmv. There's another site that has some reports, google it I'm pretty sure you can find it on your own. I generall search for the place's website and decide from there. Usually if the staff is hiding their face, and wearing something that's not the general scrubs type it's a place with a happy ending.
