Is Laos better to avoid for mongering?

Made my 1st visit to Lao recently.

Yes, the capital Vientiane is a quiet sleepy place but there is some action to be had! I crossed over from Udon Thani using the A/C bus to the bridge, got my visa and then took a 200 Baht taxi to the "City" centre.

The hotel I used was one of the central hotels with its own night club. (I will not mention the name due to the "sex with forigners" Lao laws.)

Upon check in I went to my room and found 3 chambermaids, who had obviously finished work for the day, sitting drinking beer in a small seating area just outside the lift.

2 of the maids were late 30’s but the other one was VERY early 20’s, a little bit chubby but rather cute.

One of the 2 older maids invited me to sit and drink a beer with them, which I did. None of them spoke much English but with my very limited Thai and a few words of English plus some universal gestures we were soon "chatting away. "

The young cute maid seemed very shy but the other, older, 2 were soon (jokingly) asking me if I liked her! I responded that she was "Narak" which made her smile and I was soon teasing her and asking her for a kiss (which was refused.)

After the beer was finished I went to my room for a shower and a short rest but only after asking the cute maid if she wanted to join me! As expected the answer was negative with a shake of her head so I proceeded to my room for a shower and a short nap.

After around half an hour I was woken by a knock at my door. Upon opening it I found the cute young maid outside carrying a towel. After a few words from her in Lao she came inside and pointed to the bathroom!

My assumption was that she had bought me a fresh towel but I decided that I would try my luck with a little kiss and cuddle and see what happened!

After a minute or two she shook her head and pointed to the bathroom so I assumed that my few minutes of fun were up and let her and the towel go into my bathroom.

Then, to my great surprise, she proceeded to lock the bathroom door behind her and after a few minutes I heard the sound of running water.

I decided to continue my rest on the bed and see what happened. After a further few minutes the young maid came out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but the extra towel that she had brought with her, and shyly came and sat on the bed next to me! The next hour or so was absolutely GREAT!

Although initially rather shy, and obviously very inexperienced she was also very eager to learn. She had a wonderfully firm pair of boobs and just a light covering of hair on her tight pussy and seemed genuinely surprised that farrangs were so hairy. (Perhaps I was her first! )

She did not seem as if she was in any great hurry and I was rather surprised that she was willing to stay with me so long but eventually, after around 1. 5 hours my room phone rang. I answered it and a female voice spoke a short phrase in Lao and hung up!

I repeated this phrase to my young cutie who nodded her head and proceeded to get dressed.

When fully dressed she pointed to the door and indicated that she needed to go. I was not sure what to do (she was obviously not asking for money) but in view of the enjoyment I had just had felt that I wanted to give her a small gift. I pulled out a 20 US$ note and put it in her hand. She transferred this to her pocket without even looking at it and after a last kiss left!

I did not see her, or the other maids again until the next day but when I did see them next the 2 older women greeted me with a big grin and a "thumbs up" sign and my young cutie gave me a shy smile. I responded with a thumbs up to the older two to indicate that I was more than happy and gave my young friend a little kiss on the cheek which made her blush and the other two laugh.

Other than my unexpected success with the maid I also found enough action to keep me happy.

Anou Hotel night club had around 30 girls working. The Moma San spoke good English and was happy to give me details of how "the system" worked, and prices. She was also very useful in telling me which girls spoke English, which ones liked Farrangs, (and more importantly which ones didn’t! )

After talking to her about the girls we, together, selected one for me and she went off to bring her to my table.

I was rather surprised when she came back with a different (also very acceptable) girl and whispered in my ear that the original one chosen "Have red down there! " so she also saved me from a "Bleeding waste of f-ck-ng time" back in my hotel room! " The 4th floor bar on the river side Bar Pun Yang also had a few sweeties. One very cute one who I would have gone for, but was continuously playing pool, so I had to pick another more responsive one.

Plenty of girls around on the streets at around 11. 30 to 12. 00 when the bars close looking for company.

One evening I was approached by a very sweet young Lao student (in uniform) who was looking to improve her, already rather good, English.

Always willing to help I took her back to my hotel and found that she was VERY quick in picking up English customs!

Some day time action around the fountain in the centre of town during afternoons. I found a nice little 21 year old who was happy to spend a few hours with me for 500 Baht.

Also 3 Deaf and Dumb girls working around the fountain in the early evening after they had finished the day jobs (one of those was also a chambermaid at a different hotel! )

So, in conclusion Vientiane is not Pattaya or Bangkok but in my limited experience there are PLENTY of young, fresh cuties to keep most people happy for a few days. Finaly. To return to Udon Thani take the A/C bus from Vientiane bus station right through to Udon Thani bus station (around 2 hours) for 85 Baht!

Just returned after a six day stay,

First of all what is not GF

Beau Rivage Mekong Hotel is very beautiful and hospitable but very strictly NON GF.

The best place in town is MEKONG hotel. Arguably more than 60 chicks every night after 7 p. Up to 12 am. The staff is polite 35 for ST and 60 LT. Ambience is good and girls very cooperative (although they tend to decide to move out soon after you are done but till you come they are all urs, they kiss you like a long lost boyfreind) better than Thailand.

The view from Mekong is superb of the monastries and the Mekong river. The hotel is ok at USD 40 and the breakfast selection limited for Continental foodies. Tuktuk are cheap and beer is 2 in one dollar.

All in all you spend 300 usd including daily food, daily fuck (wd a diff one every night) and daily fuel. The avg gals are petite and bet 18-24 at mekong. My first time but definitely going after 2 months for more

I m a philppines buff but sure this is one area where there is hardly cheating compared specially wd Thailand.

Currently in Vientiene doing a visa run.

Recent change with the Thai embassy, they didn't charge the usual 2K for a multi-entry 60X2 visa. Must be part of the Thai govts stimulation plan.

Stayed at the Inner City Hotel, right next door to Bor Pen Yang. As report a nice place (open air bar w/ pool tables). Last night around 11, place was fairly busy with a limited selection of ladies. Most of the ladies were below a 6 in looks and only saw 3 that looked doable and they were already occupied with customers. Yes, there was a contigent of ladyboys at the bar and mixed in with some real ladies. Didn't pick-up anything there.

Did the Tuk-Tuk run to a brothel, visited 2 place. Quoted price 1200 baht (ST), second place had 6 ladies with 2 decent lookers. Took one and it was the basic shower, sex, thanks and back on the tuk-tuk home!!! No small talk, as the lady didn't speak a word of English.

Brothel(1)- In home with 5 ladies, 3 looked way to young and the other 2 were fat.
Brothel(2)- Table outside a hotel parking lot, pick the girl and they take you to a room. Ladies as reported above.
Oh, the tuk-tuk driver tried to get another 300baht from me for the ride. Gave him 200 baht, as I didn't clarify that he'd only get the kick-back from the brothel.

Just back from Laos and I can now confirm Lao Orchid is girl friendly. This is a wonderful hotel for US$45/night located 30 second walk from the river road. I visited the Mekong Nightclub and, as reported by others, it had plenty of girls. I did not take out from there since I wanted to explore the bar scene.


Bor Pen Yang was fun and there were about 20 girls to choose from about about 11PM on a Friday night. I picked up a blonde haired girl that wanted to go to the disco (I had not read Cheapy's report) but we diverted to my hotel for $40. I was surprised at how inexperienced she was. I know she goes there often and some of you have seen her. Sorry I don't remember her name.
The Lao Orchid is a 1 minute walk from Bor Pen Yang.

As has been reported here often, don't go to Vientiene for girls only, but there is some action to be found. Food there is good but expensive imho. There are lots of good pastry shops in town. The town is quiet but not as hot as BKK/Pattaya. All in all it was a nice break from Thailand for a few nights.

Best pick-up bar is Bo Pen Nyang, a 4 story walk-up roof top bar on the Mekong Riverfront street. Food, music, pool tables and lots of women after 9:00pm. Girls pick up you. Price 250, 000 LT (all-night 2 shots) Watch they may try to hang around the next morning and play GF.

Watch for ladyboys. Lady named Noy is a good bartender in main bar. She will tell you which ones are ladyboys. Also watch groups of girls who want to go disco. You will pay for all and then they will split on you.

If you don't get a clear answer on that question (it are asians.) they are not GF! Don't like to talk means don't like to see.

Then you walk a real walk of shame if you arrive with a girl.-- you'll walk ALONE to your room after paying a lot of money or everyboddy looks to you. !

I was in July 2008 in Vientiane but everything was dead on the streets (n front of the often named bars and hotels) and the parks along the river.

No girls and no muskittos.

Maybe because I was with my wife.

Or maybe because it was out of the seazon (July).

So we raced with busses away out Laos to Thailand tru Khon Kaen (nothing to do too at night.just singing and a disco) and Khorat (nothing to do at night.just singing) to have at least some girl sightseeing (and happy hour beer) pleasure in Pattaya during oure last 7 nights.

I am not that daring in asking questions about being able to bring local companion or not while making my hotel booking through the internet. I will normally leave it to my luck.

However I do make some research. Most hotels which you could book through internet do have readers rating and comments. I search for the forums and feed back. There might be more than the information we need from these forum or feedback.

The worst scenario would be there is nothing found. Then I could only search for 'activity centers' which are nearest to the hotel I plan to stay. Of course then I would have to be there instead of taking back to my hotel.

I am sure I have read on the forum that the Laos Orchid is girl friendly. However having seen it from the outside I would say it is rather a stylish upmarket family place and IMHO I for one would not feel comfortable taking a bed warmer back there.
