I got in about a week ago, expecting to drink large amounts of beer lao and indulge in the hobby. Picking up from Bor Pen Yang is just as easy as last time, but at times you have to talk to a few before getting a positive result but there seems to be few good lookers. Sadly, between eating too much and sleeping early and a clinger I have not done much mongering but on to the report.

The first one I picked up from Bor Pen Yang I had met back in October but never slept with. She remembered me and after a bit of idle flirting she happily agreed to go with me. She has the typical petite asian figure and is an absolute firecracker in bed. She even let me explore all three holes without any argument. The only real downside was that like most Lao girls I have encountered, she tried to sleep the day away so I only fucked her twice (once after I picked her up and another time in the morning). As she flirted more I did a neck and crotch check, followed by an invitation upstairs. Overall she is only moderately attractive, but sometimes you take what you can. The sex was actually okay, nothing spectacular but she seemed to really be enjoying herself. Total damage 220, 000 (a slight overpay). The weirdness happened the next day when I went with her to her apartment and fucked her for free. At this point she has become a bit of a clinger, wanting to spend every night in the room, always asking if she can be my girlfriend, keeps wanting me to kiss her. It's good to get it for nearly free (I buy her food and this morning I gave her 50, 000k to go shopping) but the clinginess is a bit off putting.

I am constantly amazed by the chicks here quote prices in bhat but have no clue about how bhat converts to kip. She then said 500, 000 kip the stay the night, I laughed again and told her 150, 000k and stood firm. She finally agreed but said she would not stay so I got off the bike and told her I would be passing. On the walk home I met a chick who agreed to go all night for 180, 000. She was a bit reserved but definitely did the trick in the sack. After the first shot I noticed blood on the sheets so the party had to be cut short. The damage for the one shot (completely unrushed) was 100, 000.

I've tried a few massage places with pretty much no success until three days ago. At this point I rarely get aroused during massages, but it happened and the worker asked if I wanted massage you know where. I pointed to her mouth and she said okay. When I asked how much the response was 10, 000 bhat, ridiculous right. That quickly became what you pay me, and 80, 000kip was agreed to (should maybe be closer to 40, 000-60, 000 for a BJ given the prices in Vietnam). In the end I passed because I had the odd feeling that it was a lady boy and I was not that hard up for a BJ. I noticed a lot of lady boys working at massage places in Vang Vieng but this was the first I have seen in Vientiane. For anyone wanting to try, it was on a street perpendicular to Noy's Fruit Heaven. The massage place had what something in the name. The other two workers there appeared to be women so not sure if they do massage or what. On another note, as I was getting a massage at a place on the river another guy walked in and I'm pretty sure he directly asked if they would massage his dick. I'll post the name of the place later just in case anyone can confirm extras there. The response was to take him upstairs to another floor, so maybe the key is to just be bold when you walk in and ask. I hate the idea of paying for a hand job, but to each his own.

As to the women who ask for bhat. I know for a fact that many men come here for their visa runs from Thailand with bhat in tow. Over the last week I heard some guy tell a restaurant owner that their price was too cheap and they should charge more. It was a western guy so he smiled and said, beers just cheaper here and there is no need to raise the price. Many asians don't have the same restraint. Believe me, as I have seen it, if you tell some asian people the price is too low because in Thailand you pay x dollars when you come back the price will have changed to x dollars (possibly even the same evening). Also, never let a sex worker talk you into paying in a foreign currency. Most who charge you in a foreign currency do so to exploit you, ie it was 3000LT in Thailand so I will tell him 2500LT and he will think he is getting a great deal even though it should be closer to 800LT. If you are reading this board please don't be that guy. Some have also worked in Thailand or have friends who have and don't seem to understand that cost of living is cheaper here so the majority of goods and services should be cheaper as well. Trust me, it may take a few rejections but it can easily be found for 300, 000 kip or less long time.

Back in September / October the migration of most girls was Bor Pen Yang- Sam Lo- Don Chan's Palace. It now seems to be Bor Pen Yang- Sam Lo or Future- atMy House (or home can't remember). Every spot after Bor Pen Yang is a bit dark and I like to get them back before midnight, so a lot of the time I just write the night off if I don't pick up at Bor Pen Yang.

I found some NICE ones including one rather cute Deaf & Dumb girl.

I went to Wonderland twice between September and October 2011. Both times the same tuk-tuk driver took me. The first time I was only given the option to go with one girl and the second time we were turned away. Even the time I went in, the other girls were not that great looking and they seemed to mainly be hanging around the Lao customers.

Amjek, I wonder how the guy you met got to Wondeland? He may have gotten taken advantage of because he went with a tuk-tuk driver he did not know or he went on his own. I had met the guy who took me a few times before I went and he stayed with me until I handed over the cash and went to the room with the girl.

When I was there I paid $40 to the girl at Wonderland and $40 to the papasan of the girl I was given when Wonderland turned us away, both ST but I was not as educated then. In contrast to the FL girls at bars, neither was worth it. When I was there I met a Lao / Canadian who hinted at paying the bar girls around $20 for all night and that is around what I am sticking to when I go back in a week or so. The girl I spent most of my time with only charged me 35-40 before I got her to go for free, so in comparison to the KTVs and brothels, IMO FLs are a better value.

I visited the Wonderland a few times in the past, never had any issues, it's a typical brothel hotel. There were always a few guys taking care of the business, some time show you the girls. I know many NGO guys living in Vientiane, but no one ever heard this kind of incident.

I checked out these hotel pick ups including Wonderland when I was in transit in Vientiane for 2 nights going LP back in Jan, and found the quality really bad, getting worser and worser every trip. Did not even take any girl in 2 nights. These karaoke pick ups also jacked up the price 50USD ST plus lady drinks, LD now about 5 USD, and quality also bad. Saw one doable one in Mekong, but she only wants to go ST in their hotel or the ST room across street from karaoke, very spoiled. It seems like there are now lots of Chinese, Japanese, in Laos for business and pleasure. Its becoming very commercialized.

I met a traveler recently in Laos with a fantastic story. It was his first time to Laos and he was approached by a tuk tuk driver offering girls, so he jumped into the tuk tuk and off they went to Wonder Land Hotel. He said once in the room with a girl he heard a knock on the door and opened it and was confronted by two plain clothes police men carrying hand guns. They were trying to charge him with illegal sex with a Lao citizen (It's against the law for a foreigner to have sex with a Lao person outside of marriage). They ended up extorting $600 from him before letting him go.

I first thought this story was so outrageous, because I've been in Wonder Land Hotel many times in the past but never had a problem, but it had been over two years ago since I last visited. Being curious, I decided to have a look and be extra cautious while checking it all out. I arrived at the hotel and the mamasan with dyed blonde hair and gold rings on her fingers (looks more thai than Lao) brings out some girls, from a side room and they are all ugly. She's trying hard to push one of her girls on me, but I'm not excited and the whole time I'm assessing the scene. As she's showing the girls I notice two lao guys walk through another door and one of them gives me a very uncomfortable look. After I look at the girls, I tell mama that nothing interests me and thank you for the viewing. She seemed unhappy that she couldn't match me up with a girl of my liking. Before I left I asked to use the toliet and walked down a small hallway and before I got to the toliet I see the same two Lao guys sitting at a table drinking whisky and on the table was what I believe to be a 45 caliber handgun. They saw me walk by and just starred at me, I smiled and they didn't smile back. I used the toliet then left pronto.

The Tuktuk guy extracted 80, 000kip from us. Thats $10. The women are are all stocked in one room. At the KTV some of them were laid out with thier eyes closed on a bed. The other all sitting down looking at a small TV. The woman don't even get up so you cannot really see them. The pimp wants your money up front. Nobody looks very happy. The price at one place was 1200baht and the other 1500baht. I took one from the KTV at 1200baht. The service was so bad that it was not worth spending the whole hour in there. You might pick one with better service but I don't think your going to get any GFE. My gut feeling is better to try picking up a freelancer at one of the pubs.

I went to vientiene with a small amount of research mostly from thatasshole so I knew about hotel la ong dao. I went round the hotels and guesthouses near the waterfront and saw that the priceing was higher than laong dao so I decided to go and stay right in the action. I walked there to get some exercise. Its a decent walk BTW.

Later I hired a bycycle and checked out some of places.

Aniou caberet. Was very quite. Prob 6 girls with guys already. So I passed.

Mekong hotel. Prob 20-30 girls aged late 20; s avergae in lookes 6-7's. I knew about the quited prices 1500-2000 st plus the cost drinks etc so I passed.

La ong dao. The girls are early 20's, more friendly smilling and waving at me maybe not as nicely dressed but was quoted 1000bht St 2000 LT looks 6-7s on average as well. Since I had gone quite hard back in thakek with similar girls. Ie laos girls in early 20's looks 6-7s and I had only paid 150k kip=500bht. I wasnt too eager to sample.

In summary if I was to go to vientiene I'd stay at la ong dao. Socialise in some bars then come home and take a girl for the night.

I also looked at the freelancer bar bo yuk or whatever saw note many attractive girls so that ill def pass

1. A total change of scene from Phnom Penh.

2. Quiet with a lot of people eating at informal places located along the road side.

3. One bar on corner of Quai Fa Ngum and Rue Chao Anou – small inside with 4 customers and 10 young bar maids. There is a lounge on the second floor and on the second night I saw nice looking girls that had been there. On the second night an Aussie explained that if a girl liked you she would go back to the hotel with you and I should not pay more than $60. A girl asked for a drink (about $6) (I was on beer at $1. 20) and then another. She said she couldn't come back as it was almost midnight and she had to be at work at 8 am. I think if I had stayed here a few more days it would have happened. Just by observation you can see a load of cute girls with tourist companions – although not as prevalent as in Thailand and Cambodia.

4. The lady boys are on bikes and pull up beside you to ask if you are interested. There were a couple of 'good looking' ones walking up and down Rue Sethathirath.

5. Two massages. Both good. First in a closed room but she showed no inclination and I always respect the masseuse. Cost $6. The second on Quai Fa Ngum, big place and the upstairs massage area was curtained cubicles and it was easy for people to see in. The girl's hands wandered a little bit and on the flip she started giving that knowing look. Being wrapped in a sarong with no weight my hard on was obvious and she patted it a little. But low and behold she called over two of her mates to have a look – one of them a real stunner who said she wanted to massage me! I left a frustrated man!

Not sure if you're still in Vientiene but here's my two cents.

I've been backpacking / mongering around SE Asia for the past few months and have found that for the most part tuk-tuk drivers are not necessary. Especially in the tourist areas of most cities, if you cannot get laid you are doing something wrong. At this point I only use tuk-tuks if I am bored or someone recommends the driver to me.

You mentioned that some of the girls seemed to have no interest in going with you and it very well may have been because you are a foreigner. It sounds like you were mainly in areas that cater to locals and many of the girls probably had no interest in dealing with a foreigner. IMO tourists are better off sticking to the tourist areas unless you have a local / expat friend who is familiar with the local scene. Sometimes the extra money you pay more than makes up for the possibility of a chick will complain because she is used to guys with small dicks who finish very quickly.

Another reason for sticking to the tourist areas is that some of the girls have probably heard bad stories about or had bad experiences with foreigners and you don't have the language skills to explain that you're not that guy. I met one in Cambodia who said she only liked to go with foreigners who are over 60. In the past she has asked young guys to stop because she had gone dry and she said they kept going (in some cases harder than before) and on occasion she had to go the hospital. She went with me because her friend (another working girl) vouched for me.

You also have to be very careful about how you carry yourself when you are in places that cater mostly to local men. If you find yourself in that situation again ask the madam who they would recommend. If they don't recommend one or you can't get the point across then leave. In those places there is usually 1 or 2 girls who have gone with foreigners before and they might not be the ones you want but you are probably better off with them. On the plus side if you treat them right they will advocate for you to the others.

Another big thing is don't be afraid to talk to other guys. When I was in Vientiene I was approached by 2 older Brits who wanted to know where to go to pick up a girl. I was able to tell them where to go / when / about what to pay. I saw them later at a bar and pointed out girls I knew were working. The next day he ran up to me with a big grin on his face blabbering something about viagra and a really good night. When I was in Cambodia, although I looked through this and other boards. 2 expats gave me some great info, including how to tell how hardened a girl was.

Lastly, pat yourself on the back for getting rid of the young girl. I was told by a Lao guy from Canada that I can probably take 8-10 years off the bottom of my dating range while in Laos, but it's probably not worth it. I banged an 18 why / o in Vientiene and her lack of maturity started to show really quickly.

sorry you are having a hard time in vien. being my first time there i found it pretty easy to find girls. you can find freelancer on the corner of setthathilath and nokeokaoummane. just becareful of the lady boys. i always did a quick feel of their genitals to make sure i was getting a girl before going back to my room. met a girl name noi. great body, skinny, nice and tight, and did bbbj. slipped the sock on and did multiple positions and finished with her on top. paid the standard short time fee.

i went around this nice tourist town with tuktuk driver (contact info from me via pm). he overcharges at 50k / hr, but he could speak english reasonably well and do translation for me. after a little awkwardness on my part as i asked about gf hotels, he pursued my goals for me with vigor. in fact, he did most of the negotiation and pressed ahead on things i would have been embarrassed to say. the frankness i could see he used with the girls seems effective.

he had a number of hotels in mind. on isg, members continually return to the mykeong hotel. he suggested two others, which supposedly have less of a foreigner presence. all seem to be outside of the city center, but either have kareoke or a dance club attached to their hotels. i ended up at la ong dao hotel i, (856-21) 990 386, (856-20) 5517 562, (856-20) 5696 879. the staff hardly speaks english. the driver brought me to the room of girls. they were done up like prostitutes, rather than the appearance of a tasteful non-working girls. they were not entirely enthusiastic, as they were just getting ready about 6pm-in fact, they hardly noticed i was peering in on them. there must have been 13 in a small hotel room.

the hotel is inconvenient and there is no transportation in the neighborhoods (i. e, no tuktuk to take) after midnight. i can't read the lao script and thus cannot even say where the hotel is located, other than it's about 2 km away from everything. the cost is 600b / night. one can negotiate to 500b. remember you'll pay the difference in transportation costs. while downtown later, i did look at lao orchid, mentioned on isg: it is 2000b or so and clearly an upscale family-oriented place. it has a bar, in which only a couple sat having a late dinner. i wouldn't use that place. the famous place for foriegners and working girls is reportedly don chan, which i will probably check out tonight. i tried out a dance club to which lao only go, and it was too early i think and there were no available girls nor any apparent working girls. i think there was a lady boy. waste of time. other gf hotels mentinoed on isg are annou, avalon, etc, but i didn't check them out.

although isg people seem scared of the lao law forbidding relations between their citizens and foriegners, the opportunities for hobbying are clear. while on my way from the hotel, a motorcycle with two well-dressed girls pulled up alongside the tuktuk and essentially made an offer in lao (translated by my driver). too early in the evening at 6:30pm. when i walked alone along river street, the tuktuk drivers started with "looking for a girl? boom boom." and, one offered opium. the quoted prices are generally 1500b st. 2000+b lt. it seems one can negotiate to 1000b / 1500+b or so without too much difficulty. less attractrive girls might be lower prices. note that the streets and businesses start to thin out after about 10pm and most close at midnight, including clubs and other places for girls. only a few stay open later. that is where one notices it is laos. also, the selection of gf hotels is important, unlike in thailand.

i ended up at a beer bar with two young girls about midnight, after checking out several places. the driver wrote that it's on phonethan road, right down from the hotel. there was only one lao customer, barely flirting with a thicker third girl; and he left without taking her along. in my opinion, the two girls were pretty cute-much cuter than the girls in the brothels.

i bought the beer, but the two girls never drank more than a few sips. after investing time and money and after basically committing to one, i found out she is 17 yrs old. this freaks me out some, and the tuktuk driver just laughed about my concern and commented about 15-yr olds. both girls are from the countryside and have been in the city about one month and doing this business one month. they depend on the owner like a mother.

the girl in whom i was interested was even more petit and thin with small. maybe 4'8".90 lbs (1. 4m. 41 kg). thin legs. nice clear face, not as round or covered with make-up as the pros in town. very small tits. dressed in jeans, shirt, and light coat. the other girl had a decently-sized chest for her size and a rounder face. also cute. my girl would not look at me the whole time nor take off her coat, and she seemed shy / reticent (perhaps just with foreigners?). i almost went elsewhere. she seemed to still be handling the fact that she's doing what she's doing. the tuktuk driver wanted me to settle on her or go on, and i said i would not go unless she was comfortable and "into it". he responded she's happy to go for the negotiated price but she wouldn't "eat my icecream" (bj). it was after the witching hour, and i eventually agreed on 1500b overnight, but i gave a $50 bill, slightlhy more.

we arrived silently at the hotel. she allows some hugs and occasionally cast her eyes my way. inside the hotel room, she talked on her cell phone. i handed her a tooth brush, and she did that. no sense of connection. i had a camera and through a series of misunderstandings (no english) , she was upset and thinking i had hidden pictures of her. i demonstrated i did not, but she was certain and very "not ok", when i asked "you okay?". i think she would have gone through with our agreement, but i can not proceed with an upset girl. moreover, the **** fact is serious and she had made a number of phone calls, presumably regarding her emotional state and her belief. seeing she would not be in a good mood and thinking upon the legal ramifications, i eventually showed her the door and indicated for her to leave. i did not ask for any money back.

she looked shocked and refused. i just nudged her out and locked the door. i have mixed feelings about this whole encounter.

i then went to the hotel's brothel, and the girls nearly fled at the sight of a caucasian. when i looked at one, they would point at another. most refused outright when i selected them. they weren't that great looking, but several were acceptable. in the end, i just walked away, rather than spending money on a girl i'm not enthusiastic about. moreover, it's more expensive.

i want the young girl. but, i would prefer a more mature 22 yr old who looks as young as the real thing. i hope i'm successful.

I'm coming to Vientiane this Sunday and staying at the Lao Plaza Hotel on Samsenethai Road. Can anyone tell me if this is a guest friendly hotel and if there places nearby to find some women companionship during the day. I've read the forum but not much info was on the Lao Plaza hotel. I'll be in Vientiane for a week if anyone wants to hang out.
