Hey guys,
Hoping to have a word from the experienced folks here.
My friend from India is arriving to KL on 18th September. He wants to visit only KTV's. As I have no idea about KTV's on KL would appreciate if some senior members or KTV champs throw some light on this.
I would prefer a low budget KTV as we will no to be in a group and are just 2 people in a room.
Any hints on the pocket friendly KTV's would be of great help.
Read about 50 pages in the forum and couldn't find a single post about KTV.

The issue is that KTVs are for Chinese, period. Mostly very expensive, not to mention the fees for PR girls. (You know, Chinese people in Malaysia and Indonesia are often wealthy).
If you want to learn about KTVs, don't read ISG but go to the SB forum (I am not promoting a competitor, it's just oriented to a different target) which is mostly attended by Singaporeans.

I do not exclude there are also cheaper KTVs who welcome and are patronized by other races, and even Indian KTVs, because there is a big Little India (anyone appreciates the oxymoron??),
but then I see two critical points:

1) Chinese girls, as many Indonesian, Vietnamese and other Asian girls often simply reject Indians. I am not condoning this kind of racism, but - hate it or like it - it's a fact. You must know that, to not be surprised or offended. They are scared by the dark skin, not to mention other features (many Indians in Malaysia are immigrants and low-class workers).

2) If you come from Mumbai to KL, why should you look for an Indian KTV there and be disappointed?

Let me congratulate with you! First post here, and it's a precise and informative report on what is Brickfields. You even specified WHERE exactly to go (nobody has been so specific) Good job! I linked it in the RoD.

I confirm: what you write is EXACTLY what is there. You went there and did the best you could do. It reminds my first experience in KL about 7-8 years ago (ISG reports must be still online).

I wish you a career of long-time contributor to ISG! Keep on like this. The procedure is:
1) RTFF,
2) explore,
3) report.

The only problem is that, if we wait just 4-5 days, your report will be on page 2 of the thread, and again the thread will be spoiled by lazy people who do not RTFF but just ask silly obvious questions "Where can I find a girl-friendly hotel in KL?" "What is Brickfields?" "There are African girls in Brickfields?" and so on. ALAMAK!

P.S.: Enrique something, the best place I can recommend you for African girls is Kalimantan. Try and enjoy.

Sounds like Calcutta but reminds me of the governmental brothels in Turkey. You can find several video online. Anyways many thanks for the good post which gives a good picture of Brickfields.

I was in KL on business, and after my meeting finished around 4 pm I thought I would try out the scene in Brickfields. I took a train to KL Sentral Station, and walked south on Jalan Sambanthan 4. At Jalan Thambipillay, I turned right. In the area around Joy Hotel (50 m in both directions), there are a number of brothels on both sides of the street. If you get to the monorail station, you've gone too far. The brothels aren't really marked that I could tell, but there are men sitting on chairs on the pavement that will ask if you want a girl. There are probably 8 or 10 brothels.

I went in 3 or 4 different ones to have a look. The rooms were very small- about 2 m x 3 m. There were mattresses on the floor, and a small tap at the back of the room to wash with. The rooms do not have any toilet. The walls and floor were concrete, and some of the walls to the rooms didn't reach the ceiling, so you could be heard. The rooms are not nice nor particularly clean, but I didn't care because I was there for the cheap sex, not 5 star accommodation. The women were mostly Indonesian, in their late 20's to mid 40's, rating about 4-7 in looks. There were a few Indians that I rated below 4. The pimps in the brothels all said that it was RM50 for a CBJ & FJ. You get 15 minutes. One pimp in the first place I went was a little aggressive to get me to stay and take a woman by standing between me and the exit, trying to prevent me from leaving. I was polite and said that I wanted to get a drink first, and would be back. I didn't go back to that one, though the youngest, best looking woman I saw was there. Many of the women grabbed my hand, trying to pull me into their room. None of it seemed dangerous- they just wanted me to spend some money. I cannot reliably comment on the safety, however, as this was my first time there and it was 4 pm on a Saturday. Hi all,

I clearly was talking about the hotel "Sentral" in Brickfields and not about the cheap girls there. The hotel is guest friendly and doesn't ask any questions when you get a chick. Apart from that I so find good Indian food in the vicinity.

Hence my choice of hotel in KL will remain the same every time. However the best place to pick chicks is Thai Club currently.
