I've searched a bit and cannot find much related info here. So I decided to start this to collect as much data and tips for exchange. Now, anecdotally. I've looked through ISG threads, other related forums and general forums. I've also asked around from people who may be "on the know" and have done some scouting around myself through various apps like wechat and Seeking. So far. Its a dead end. Unless I'm doing something wrong. I've had a few nips. But I discount anything that doesn't seem like a serious proposition or a workable solution as defined by / reported by various parties on the sugar lifestyle. So far, other than regular dating / dating apps where you chase, she plays coy, you buy gifts and shower her with attention etc. Etc. Blah (yuk) or you be Alpha male and get her to get excited by you and you play her etc. - OTHER than this. It doesn't seem any different and I'm coming to the conclusion that this whole sugaring thing exploding in Malaysia and Singapore (at least in the media) is a clever marketing ploy / product placement strategy conducted by savvy businessmen from Singapore (by the way, both SA and SBowl are owned by Singaporean origin businessmen).

Interesting. I am a non paying member of Tinder. I get on the site from time to time to amuse myself. Most women, at least in my age bracket, are dramatically unattractive, and many are huge. Last night, I saw a women claiming to be in her early 30's and with a striking almost unreal body and pretty face accompanied by photos with other attractive women and one photo with an older women that may be her mother. Usually, I don't bother as they don't respond to me but I was feeling generous and contacted her via the Tinder site. In this case, her Tinder bio claimed to be 9,000 miles away. She responded to me and told me she was living in Malaysia though she had obvious European or American facial and body features. Then she said she was only there for a week so hardly living there. I am still writing her this morning to see where this scam leads. She says she is originally from the Bronx and moved to California when she was 17 yo. Yada, yada, yada.

The women does correspond in correct colloquial English but her photos are so spectacular, it suggests she is a constructed bot. Nevertheless, it seems to be quite a well constructed fleece what with the other familial and friends photos. I found it interesting that what you described appears to have spread to Tinder as well and curious about this Malaysian angle. Waiting for her next response.

That question has been covered before on this forum, and not that long ago. I'm assuming you are coming into KLIA, which is way down south in a Oil Palm plantation. Its an non-urban area. But, the express train ride is a pleasant ride, just under half an hour, and shouldn't be an obstacle. I've made it round-trip, twice. Getting across town to a mongering location could be an equally time consuming task. Unfortunately, this isn't like Frankfurt, where the airport trains takes you to the Hauptbahnhof, just blocks away from a few, large Laufhauses.

In the unlikely event you have your layover near Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, which is the older airport now serviced by budget regional carriers, its a different story. You are 15 minutes cab ride from Kota Damansara.

That said, if you are going onto another destination with good mongering options and more free time, you might pass on this opportunity. However, it this trip would otherwise be a "dry run", then I'd say you should definitely go for it.

The only Russians or Eastern Europeans similar I have seen have been in BC. This is due I hypothesize to the $ they think they are worth. I think the street prices would be too low to compete with or accept so therefore they go to a place where possibly more $ is available.

For me they have an opinion of themselves, command ridiculous prices and quite frankly Asia is for Asians but YVMD.

Info re Indians is accurate although as stated numbers are in decline and if you can find something doable = good luck. I haven't seen anything Indian in Asia yet that I would do. But again YVMD.

So, the "promise" is that there's so many sugar babies out there looking for sugar daddies. Countless articles and news items in the region from over the last 3 years either claimed it as a huge expose or scoop or even a scandal / political debate. There's one article about an explosive reddit "tell it all" tale of a sugar baby. There's a few video interviews. There's the launch of sugar book and the debates in Singapore and in Malaysia by politicians and by social activists and doctors.

There are even articles on how some journalists have signed on to the popular apps and tried their hand at it and also looked through classifieds like locanto, craigslist and backpages with varying degrees of success.

I call all of it BUNKUM. Its created hype. Probably planted by the the likes of Seeking Arrangement or "our own" Sugar Bowl and their PR agencies. These news items always tend to be from around the time Sugar Bowl was launched. Although there may be a few grains of truth in it, it largely seems like hype and hoopla to draw attention to a non-starter.

The reality is that the apps are basically the same as dating apps-they draw you in with honey pots and tons of sexy profiles, fake bots usually, that may even send you messages and show interest till you buy a subscription (remember, these are automated bots running on AI. Can usually fool 90% of the population into believing they're real people). In reality, the ratio of men to women on these apps are usually out of whack (too many men) and the app only exists to extract as much coin out of desperate men as possible. Craigslist and locanto have stopped publishing personals due to recent laws enacted in the US, but even when they did. And I've seen a few of these online classifieds sites. Every single SB profile or ad was either: Scammy or clear solicitation to prostitutes (I. E. Our regular WGs we know and love so well). And, in a lot of cases. Aimed at silly boys who actually think "sugar moms" will advertise on online classifieds (they don't. Its usually scammers).

Thank you and all the others for guiding a fellow monger. I'm tilting towards Philippines as of this post or who knows maybe I will experiment with KL the flight's a bit cheaper and more convenient than Philippines. Pattaya has just set the standards too damn high for me LOL.

Then start reading the Philippine threads going back a few months (AC. Makati, Manila, & General). There are a lot of knowledgeable and friendly guys over in that forum. BKK is still my favorite mongering destination in the world, but ever since I branched out in 2010, I always like to include a couple of weeks in the PI in my Asian itinerary. Filipinas are are very special. I have really good times with them.
