Gentrification has definitely changed Jalan Petaling south of the Petaling night market area, predictable in response to the somewhat recent opening of the upscale nearby Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. Compared to pre-pandemic times, it's amazing how many retail outlets have been repurposed into souvenir stores, trendy restaurants, and specialty shops, with renovation work continuing on several storefronts. I recently visited the area at around 3 pm and found no open stairways which previously led to the upstairs bordellos. No evidence of any naughty activity at all. Before there were three bordellos on nearby Lorong Petaling (the alleyway directly to the east of Jalan Petaling). All were closed during my visit.

No, you are right. The prices have gone up now. It used to be cheaper even till 2022, but when I back recently about a few months ago they are asking more. It is better and cheaper to pick up a goodlooking FLs from Jalon Alor, Jalan Tun Razak bars for to take to your hotel. $300 for ST and $600 for LT.
