In KL for a few days. Wanted to check out the nightlife. (young guy, white, etc) Monday night.

Bangsar. Cool little street with some bars and restaurants. More for bringing a date on the weekday.

Changkat. Busy place. Long street with many bars and such. Seemed like there was a few freelancers in the area.

TREC. Nice compound area with various restaurants, bars and cafes.

Jalan P Ramlee. Was not expecting the talent I saw in Thai Club. Some of the best looking freelancers I've seen in my life. Found out why quick, they were mostly Vietnamese.

You have no idea how beautiful and elegant a Malaysian hijab can be. This is not Iran, where women dress a uniform light brown.

Go to Karyaneka, the major shop of Malaysian handicrafts owned by a government agency. It's at walking distance from the Petronas Towers or Raja Chulan Monerel station. You'll find lots of nice things to buy for your family, lady / ladies, and yourself. Among them, wonderful colorful batik silk scarfs, shawl, and long dresses. Yes, there are also hijab, of all colors. It's a nice gift for a local lady, if you know one.

PS: from USA? Be careful when you go back. I wish you there will be not some newer "Executive Order" issued during your stay abroad, this time maybe banning all US citizens who went overseas to give money to a Muslim country.

It's an edge situation.

True observant Muslim wear the hijab because they feel comfortable and consider it appropriate, not to neglect the social aspects (in some families, but only in some, there could be concerns if the young daughter refuses to wear it to go out). They would never remove it, if not at home. (see note below *)

In my experience in Indonesia, Batam (which is NOT like Malaysia, way stricter and more observant about Muslim religion) I noted that Muslim ladies have some priority about giving up with prohibitions. In most cases, the prohibitions fall in the following order (from the prohibition that falls most easily to the strongest taboo, hard to neglect):
1) hijab.
2) sex out of marriage.
3) alcohol.
4) fasting during Ramadan.
5) eating pork.

In other words, I know lots of Muslim ladies who wear hijab only at kampung. In Batam, which is not Banda Aceh, most girls do not wear it, yet they are good Muslim for next points 2) through 5.
Lots of girls are very liberal about sex. As a matter of fact, I can go out one afternoon and meet several girls who would come straight to my room, for money or not. This would never happen in Europe (that's why we travel 10.000 km).
Many of my girls drink alcoholic cocktails, but many do not (and yet are hot lovers).
