Did you try to have a look at Petaling houses? You can spot them easily: there is a Chinese man sitting outside a small door, taking to a stair which goes up. Don't be intimidated. Ignore the pressure and say "I will go back" if he insists. One day I visited 3-4 of them one after the other. No gems hidden. Only fatties and older, mostly Malay and maybe some Indo (I just guessed from the face). Price was 70 RM, probably lower for locals.

I have visited the Petaling Street houses but have mixed opinions about them. I love the sleaze factor which makes it feel a bit naughty and dirty. But they aren't designed for rest and relaxation. They are for guys who are horny and immediately ready to do the deed. These are truly "15 minute workout" places. 4 minutes to pay and undress, 7 minutes of action, and 4 minutes to get dressed and walk out the door. Plus the cubicles are very unsanitary and the mattresses are uncomfortable and I always head back to the hotel room for a shower once I'm done. The ladies' cubicles at ACE are much nicer.

I'm in my late 50's and not an "ever-hard" man anymore and refuse to use chemistry to enhance my rigidness (a Viagra erection just feels so unnatural to me). Unfortunately I require a bit of foreplay to stimulate blood-flow in my extremities.

To be fair, I've visited these establishments on several occasions and have always had a successful conclusion. But each time I leave, I lament that it went by so quickly and I didn't have time to enjoy the experience. Sure I "released", but I could have used my left hand and an internet connection to achieve the same result.

The big advantage to the Petaling Street brothels is they are so easy to get to via public transportation. Just take the monorail to the Maharajalela Station and walk about 4 minutes to get there. They are located on two streets called Jalan Petaling and Lorong Petaling. They are in the area south of the Flea Market (Jalan Sultan) and north of Jalan Balai Polis / Lorong Petaling 4. Jalan Petaling and Lorong Petaling are two separate and distinct streets. Google Maps is your friend. Type "Lorong Petaling" in the search box if you don't know where they are located.

As Black Page noted, look for some old Chinese or Indian guy sitting or standing near a building entryway. Also, look for the soothing glow of pink ceiling lights in the hallways. If you see the lights, you're free to walk inside to look even if there's no "captain" sitting outside.

I've found the better looking women work in the Lorong Petaling establishments. I would guess there are between 6-8 brothels there. I've always been quoted 50-60 ringgit on that street for primarily Indonesian ladies. Some of the girls are somewhat easy on the eyes. I was there about 45 days ago and lucked onto a gem, a 24 year old cutie from Yogyakarta. Beautiful Javanese face with a slightly flabby mid-section. I was very surprised she gave a satisfying BBBJ and even gave my testicles a licking. The sex was spirited but her condom was as thick as a motorcycle inner tube which dampened the sensation. As a Caucasian I feel quite safe inside ACE, but would feel uncomfortable roaming the streets after dark.

For a Singaporean, used to his hyper-controlled and sanitized environment, KL and Malaysia are considered highly unsafe. There are robberies actually. In KL at night, in areas not so far from downtown, one could be robbered and therefore caution must be exercised.

For a normal European or American, however, the level of security in KL overall is higher than in most big cities of Europe or USA (even without the extremes like suburbs where gangs rule). I never had problems or felt uncomfortable in walking alone at night in Chow Kit or even in the area of ACE (but I am used to go out at night in Ecuador or Colombia ).

The only security problem I had in Malaysia was with POLICE.
Yes, corrupt police is a major problem in Malaysia. Make a search for "corruption" or for "police" in this thread and you'll see various samples of how police is used to extort money, in cooperation with a system of "agents" and other commendable people at many levels, from poor girls who come to KL from Vietnam or other countries to make money.

Thanks for your input on the Ace / Richmoore setup. For some reason, that place had captivated my imagination, since I starting planning a trip to Asia last year. I had hoped to visit KUL and then go on to BKK. Unfortunately, the long vacation I had planned for last winter did not happen, due to work. When I finally made my initial trip to Asia, I had gotten a minor promotion that limited the time I can now be away from work. So, I did go to Thailand in the last month, but did not make it to Malaysia. But it is interesting what I found about the building by googling the name and reading articles from the local KL media. For example, a story about a police raid where they arrested a large number of girls from the PRC, working illegally.

BTW, is the Richmoore actually a functional, legitimate hotel, a residence or is mostly just a brothel? Google Maps is a superb tool for the monger, and using streetview around the neighborhood I see the Golden Asian Hotel on the Jalan Pudu behind the Richmoore. The only review I could find on the place was a negative review by an Indian guy who said that prostitutes were hanging around inside the place. Hmmmm. Sounds like it could be some interesting lodging. I have to wonder how many other hotels in the area have girls on hand for entertainment the guests.

The ACE / Richmoore might have been a functioning hotel many eons ago, but it's fallen into such disrepair that it would likely be closed and condemned by local authorities if in the West.

Think of it as a former apartment / hotel where each room has been turned into 4-6 tiny concubine rooms sharing a common washroom. I think the building also has sections that provide lodging to low-wage males, primarily Indian / Bangla / Sri Lankan types.

I must admit I have never paid attention to the local hotels because I see no advantage to staying nearby unless you plan on visiting in the late evening. I wouldn't rent a local hotel room on the expectations that an ACE girl will accompany you there.

I can't definitively say the surrounding area is unsafe, but it is definitely a low-rent and hardscrabble section of town. As a Caucasian I feel quite safe inside ACE, but would feel uncomfortable roaming the streets after dark. I would think it would be easy to hail a taxi from nearby Jalan Pudu or Jalan Yew, but have no experience doing so.

I'm not the most experienced Asian mongerer, but ACE is the only venue in Asia that I have discovered to have a suitable combination of the following attributes:

1. No entrance fee.

2. No negotiating with annoying mamasans or papasans.

3. High degree of onsite personal safety (my opinion only). The surrounding area appears safe during the daytime.

4. Location is possible to get to via public transportation (5-10 minute walk from Pudu Station).

5. Cheap pussy prices (50-100 ringgit). That's around $11-21 USA Dollars. And I've never been asked for a tip.

6. No extra charge for use of an onsite short-time room. She will take you upstairs to her sleeping cubicle. Just negotiate a deal and follow her to the elevator.

7. Good selection of multi-national women (PRC, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and occasionally Myanmar).

8. Everyone's standards are different, but ACE scores fairly high on my personal "price versus beauty scale". I consistently find a few above-average looking women there to bang for very little money.

9. During the day there are least 25 ladies available at any given time. They are standing along the walls and it's easy to approach and interact with them before you buy. Just offer to buy them something to drink and go sit down for a few minutes. No need to make any snap decisions.

10. Most are "dressed to sell". Mini-dresses, short shorts, high heels, and platform wedgie shoes give many a sultry look that I really like.

11. There are tables and chairs to relax at and there's at least one television which continuously shows sports. Beer prices are low for Kuala Lumpur. You can do the deed, go downstairs, order a beer and watch an NBA game and recharge your libido before searching for a second round.

12. There's no pressure from management to select anyone. You could just grab a chair and a beer and relax for hours. The problem is you will have to occasionally fend off the old ugly Chinese dragons who come by to drag you upstairs.

12. If you are Caucasian you will be somewhat of a novelty item, which is both a blessing and a curse. That means some Chinese women will either indicate they really want to be with you or will go out of their way to ignore you. I've never been ignored by the Vietnamese.

Of course there are some serious drawbacks too. The building is disgustingly dirty (but the ladies' cubicles are clean and tidy). The main lobby washroom is absolutely filthy. It's rare to find a woman under the age of 25. BBBJs are uncommon. If you're a perfectionist, you won't find any sleek sexy hardbody types. The attractive women speak and understand very little English. Don't expect GFE, this is a pump and dump venue.

I arrived in KL yesterday. As soon as I unpacked and settled in my Hotel, I went to Sky River. It was Jan 1st at about 5 PM. The place was very quiet. I sat in an easy chair and ordered a coffee. One of the captains sat with me and we chatted. It helps when you have been there before and knows the drill. He asked for my preference. I said no PRCs (I don't understand paying 40-50 RM more), and service is more important than looks. I asked about Indonesians. He said there's one, 21 yo, very pretty but so-so skills (inexperienced). When I was ready, he called in the lineup which was about 12 girls: 3 Thais, 2 Cambodians, 1 Indon, 1 Laotian and the rest Viets. I was attracted to a very beautiful Viet with a nice rack but she was not smiling and did not make eye contact. Normally I would immediately eliminate her from my choices but the captain pointed to her and whispered that she's good. I decided to trust El Kapitan and went with Annie (I think #137). With only a short stay in KL this seemed like an easy option. When I arrived I was asked my girl preference between Vietnam, Laos, Thai, Malay and Chinese, I opted for Viet and there were at least a dozen girls lined up before me in that strange way they do here in Asia.

I've got to say that none were stunners but none were ugly either, probably 5-7 on my personal scale. I chose a tall girl (Sun?) on gut feel though she was only 6 ish on my scale but in the end I chose wisely.

There may be a different arrangement for the Chinese women where they may have "overseers" and work under more restrictive rules.

I would guess there are no rules stopping the Vietnamese from leaving with a customer, but I highly doubt they would do so on the first encounter. Takeout is certainly possible if you were a regular who she likes and trusts. Of course they make their money on high volume of customers so they probably wouldn't venture outside unless you made it financially worthwhile. Some might actually relish the chance to leave behind the tedium of ACE for a few hours with you.

I will be visiting KL for 4 days from Jan. 1, 2017. WOW! I really, really RTFF from Nov. 27,2015 to present - 41 pages in about 3 weeks (on and off). So, I think I know everything, no need to ask questions. Hope to post a positive report. BTW, in the last three years I visit KL about once every year for 2 to 4 days, primarily to enjoy the local street food. I go to Thailand and the Philippines for heavy mongering.
