Hi all,

I will come to UB, Mongolia and stay in Bayangol hotel for several days.

1. Will I find girl in sauna in Bayangol hotel? Is prostitution legal or illegal in Mongolia? Will police catch me for it?

2. Is it safe to bring girl to my hotel room? Will door guard allow me to do so?

I stayed in Bayongol for 3 months last year.

I found that there was no problem at all in taking one of the better-looking Casablanca girls up to the room (there are many fuglies). I was told that it was more of a problem if you brought back girls from outside (I think security is assured of a tip from the Casablanca girls).

After staying around one month I was well-known to the security so I tried bringing back a girl from Strings one night and pressed a note into his hand as we came in (I cant remember how much but it wasn't much). No worries at all and she left early next morning with no questions asked.

From then on there were no questions asked, just a wink.

I brought 2 girls back on another occasion and the guard suggested that at least one of the girls leave her ID at the counter (for your protection Sir).

Bayongol was OK for me.

2. If you bring (or manage to bring) a girl to your hotel room, keep your valuables in the safe (if they have it) or a safer place. Very unusual, but some girl check your wallet.

3. Prostitution is not legal, but police won't be after you at all. Leave your passport in the hotel and have only photocopy of it.

I now have a live-in girlfriend, so I wasn't sure where to go with some girls i met on the street tonight. They wanted to go to a short term hotel room (10,000T) with me--but I wasn't sure about going to a place of their choosing and I didn't know any similar places to recommend.

Generally, girls in Mongolia do not do the whole "beat you up thing" or like Thailand where there are stories you wake up in a tub full of ice etc. Girls in Mongolia are just horny in general. They love to have a good time, and yes, they love sex as much as we do. I have received sms even asking for groupies. It wasn't a big deal for them

You might be able to score a threesome easily since 2 girls actually try to hook you up. Try by inviting them to a hotel since you have a live in girlfriend. Throw in offers like you will provide the beer/vodka and entertainment to draw them in. After a few rounds of that, maybe when you feel more comfortable, you can opt for cheap time hotels. To be honest, if a foreigner gets into a girl thing, and the girl decides to turn her back on him by shouting to any random mongolian guy in the street, you are bound for trouble anyway.

If you are afraid of being mugged, do what I do, carry 100-200 USD in your pocket aside from MNT100-150k in your pocket, that way even if you get mugged, its only USD100-200. They usually are happy for that. And if they really wanted to mug you, they would have done that in their own means whether by force or by your own will to join them.

If you have a group of friends in Mongolia, or if you have a live-in girlfriend/wife, may I suggest that you and your pals, or you alone, just rent a one room apartment. Decent one about USD500 per month. Use it as a love shack, or whatever you want it for. That way, you can have the comfort of your own home whenever you want to bring a girl there.

You might tip the shower girl if she does "extra" for you, otherwise no tip.

UB Massage requires you to put your wallet and your cash in a safe box.

Unless you carry cash under your towel to the shower room, its quite hard to get cash to the shower room. I've not tried paying for "extras" in UB Massage as that place is just a destination for a good scrub and massage and also a happy ending.

I dont think UB Massage will be a sleazy place looking at the way it has been operated over the past years.
