Thought about what I read and decided to change tactics. I did notice that more formal an MP the less likely to get any extras. With that in mind found a "REGULAR" place, paid 1200 at the door. I new things were going down hill when she didn't close the door. Then she put an apron over her street clothes. The massage progressed and she indicated HE was available. The Thamel section in Kathmandu has many massage parlours. There is an upfront fee for the massage, and the "extras' are arranged through the lady and whoever is in charge. Prices are pretty steep for full service, I wasn't in the position to "dicker".

$50-100USD! The girls were fantastic, really gorgeous, and a good lay! Get there early, as most of them close up shop by 8:30PM. A good guide may be able to show you around outside Thamel, and I bet the prices are much less. Nepali women are gorgeous!

after getting sick from my mountain climb, i descended and spent the rest of my time back in kathmandu.

as reports here suggest, every massage parlour here in thamel seems to just be a cover for a brothel. i went to about 10, and all 10 had sex on offer.

as you walk in, a mamasan will offer you a price list generally starting from 1200 rs for an hour massage going all the way up to 2500 / hour for some aromatic massages.

in some cases where i asked about sex, i got quoted prices ranging from 3000 rs to $150 usd! (told them to go and get fucked)

however, most girls asked generally ranged between 5000-10, 000 rs.

one particular shop just diagonally opposite shona's outdoor gear, after a massage, i asked if she provided sex. after asking for 10, 000, i offered 1500 (as suggested by forum members here) and she just laughed her head off. made me feel really stupid but she countered with 5000, then 3000, then finallly agreed 1500 after i didn't budge. after paying the cash, she then decides to only give me a hj! i try to take her undies off and she resists, making me feel like i'm [CodeWord125] her. fuck this bullshit i dobb on the mamasan asking for my money back but then she agrees. its a very rushed service, and being winter, its bloody cold and i couldn't get it hard enough to insert. session over and i leave dissapointed. (this is after not cumming for 2 weeks on the mountain)

2nd session, which is 500m south of shona's outdoor gear (the first massage shop, on the same side) the girl was really hot. it was a young male papasan and he was upfront quoting 1000 massage and 2000 for the girl. this seemed reasonable so i picked a hot 17 year old that looked more indian than nepalese. she turned out to be my best fuck in nepal. got her number, but she never picked up after my repeated attempts to call her.

i was never again able to negotiate back down to 1500 for a girl as bigbird suggested. many cases i offered 2000, which was refused, and as i walked away, they let me walk.

in one case, i paid 4000 (down from 10, 000) and then after the masasge, the girl demands another 400 for the room upstairs! she says we can't fuck in this room? so i pay 400 and we go with this other customer / girl upstairs to a locked room. fuck it was cold. being in the middle of winter and kathmandu having electricty black outs every day, there was no light to see up so we had to use our mobile phone screens to light our way up. in the room it was really basic and sheets had not been washed for some time. it was way too cold to do anything. it was a very rushed service. after just 3 mins (max) of porking her, she insist we finish. i demand we keep going as i wasnt finished but after some arguing from her, i was limp. with this stupid attitude, the freezing cold, dirty sheets and the mood i was in, and the nepalese dude fucking his chick next to me, i simply had it.

packed up, and bought a ticket to pattaya in thailand and damn! what a contrast! here in pattaya, the chicks do everything to please you. average here would be 1000 baht for a street walker or soi 6 babe, (about 3000 rs) but damn, the service here puts nepalese working girls to shame.

overall, i would never come to nepal for a whoring trip. never.

if i had some free time, i would recommend buying a ticket straight to thailand where you fuck uzbekistans, russians, lbfms or hot white skinned thai chicks for a standard rate and not have to put up with cold freezing dark rooms with girls trying to rush you after ripping you off.

after 10pm, only some night clubs remained opened, with most of thamel shut down. there many were groups of 10 dudes on the streets which made walking alone very uneasy. in pattaya, i can walk around till 4am with plenty of girls everywhere, available and easily obtained. the only chicks i saw roaming around thamel in kathmandu were just east of the mountain hardwear / north face store. these chicks were hot, but these chicks had dicks.

hi all,

have spent the past year or so in kathmandu. i am half foreign and half nepal (but don't speak it) so i guess i have some experiences and insights into both the local and western perspectives. typically, nepali people are very conservative and you will never see nudity or hear talk of sex in public. luckily, the thamel massage parlors (ok "parlours" in brit english) are there primarily for providing sex services. a lot of the business in the parlors actually goes to local guys. at first if i saw nepali guys hanging around i thought they were pimps or owners and got freaked out, but then realized they were mostly waiting for their favorite girl, or just a room to open up! just fellow mongers! the local business may be considered a good thing as those guys cannot afford high prices and so bring the prices down. from what i've overheard, the locals are quoted about 500 rupees for quick sex. as a foreigner a thousand rupees (12 us dollars) is probably the least you can expect to pay, if you have some bargaining skills, with 1500 being an easily reachable compromise. only pay 2000 if the girl is amazing gives good service and / or if she is also offering oral, which is quite rare in nepal. anal is just not going to happen as the butt is considered really unclean here (technically, you are not even supposed to touch people here with your left hand because that is supposed to be your butt-wiping hand. if only they knew.)

so a typical experience will go like this: find any place in thamel that has a small sign and isn't all official-looking and associated with a nice hotel (as those may offer legitimate massage). you will enter a "lobby" room, often a floor or 2 or 3 above street level, with usually a couple ladies sitting around. if you want a massage they will quote you rs. 1000 for an hour ($12). this is negotiable (what isn't in nepal?) but i always just give 400 or 500 for a half hour and it is always accepted. you can pick the girl you want but i usually let destiny decide. i've noticed that the quality of service here is in inverse proportion to the "hotness" of the girl anyway. you can just skip the massage and ask for a "special massage" or even just say "sex." but then often you have to negotiate if front or a crowd which i don't like to do. whatever you do remember: always negotiate. it is expected here, and the morons who don't drive up prices for the rest of us. for those who say "it ruins the mood" get real dude. you are paying for sexual services! and if you overpay, the lady is just thinking "what a fool!" the whole time. real romantic. plus, if you give her a ton of money up front there is no incentive to provide good service. if and only if you get good service you can and should give something extra at the end. it will be greatly appreciated and will encourage better service in general! (ok, deep breath. i am now done with the preaching).

once inside, if you opted for a massage the girl may put on a white "lab coat" which is to give the impression of a legitimate massage. usually they do not want you to undress fully insisting that you leave on your "panties" (which male underware is called here, too, apparently). in general, they seem to want to minimize the amount of time that you, or they, are naked, because they seem to fear police inspection, which i've never heard of actually happening and you would be immune to any consequences as a foreigner, anyway. i don't think prostitution is technically legal or illegal in nepal (the topic is probably too culturally taboo to have even been addressed with a law). anyway enjoy your massage which usually goes for the amount of time you have paid for. feel free to roam with your hands but this may cut short your massage time as both you and the girl will want to proceed to the sex.

when the massage is done, indicate that you want sex and don't be shy about it. they will quote a ridiculous price between 2 and 5 thousand just to see if you are a dupe. offer 1000 (or less if you are brave!) and settle for something between 1000-1500. if you are not getting this price, pretend that you are packing it in and walking away. that will get them to change their tune in a hurry. always remember. there are plenty more parlors around if worst comes to worst (it never has). a good way to do it is to walk in with only 1500 in your wallet (or at least hide the rest) , then your blood-drained brain will not let you spend more. you can also show the girl that's all you've got (an easy, language-free negotiation).

make sure you tell her you want all her clothes off and good, not rush service before you hand over the money. it may not actually happen, but it betters your chances. she will leave the room and come back with a condom and usually take her pants off 1 leg only, and only want to lift up her shirt. usually they only want to do missionary position. some will switch it up. often they don't want to do doggie because they say you are "too big." (to be fair nepali girls are tiny, most 5 feet or less and at least it's nice the way your normal sized dick looks like a porn star's in their hand suddenly!) in my experience good service is a general problem (and the few times, at the beginning, when i paid a lot more it was not better, if you are wondering). thus, i reiterate (not preaching) that it is important not to overpay, but do tip if the service is good and specify it's "for good service." in my experience the mature ladies give much better service while the young / hot ones usually lie there like a dead fish and get annoyed when you don't pop fast enough. my advice is to try several girls, and find a couple winners that you can appreciate and appreciate you. then, go back and enjoy. all in all, a decent massage and some sex can be had for about $20-25 dollars, and sex alone for maybe $15, so can't complain about that. but do shop around, and don't get discouraged by a bad first experience.

finally, remember as a foreign customer you are in charge of the situation. in nepal, monthly salaries are 100 dollars a month. 200 max. plus, you are paying these ladies 3 times what a local guy would, so they should, and usually do, appreciate that.

A completely incorrect assumption. K-du is really the only place with accessible action for western foreigners (Pokhara has some, but very low-down and for local and Indian tourists). Significant other tourist areas like Pokhara and Chitwan will have the odd massage place available. But these are legit places that either have Indian barbers in a grotty shop or 'trained' Nepalis in a spa doing the massage.

There is a new trend over the past 5 or so years of these spa type places opening in tourist areas, but they are catering mainly to the newly emerging Nepali middle class or the higher end foreign tourists who want a pampering. All legit. There is no action in Chitwan that I have ever heard of. Not even for locals. As you'll see, the only reason the town of Sauraha exists is because of the nat'l park. So, all the facilities are geared towards tourists who are there for the park and nothing else - though in the past few years a couple tattoo parlors have opened to cater to backpackers. Take a jungle elephant ride in the Bhagmara Community Forrest, watch the mahuts give their elephants a bath in the river, see cute baby elephants at the breeding center and indulge in a Tharu cultural dance performance, but don't plan on any p4p action.

Best bet is you hook up with another tourists, second best bet is you make a acquaintance in K-du and bring her along. Four days in Chitwan is enough - including the roundtrip to and from K-du.
