Hi guys,

So I'm now on my last day in KTM, in fact staying very close to Potala Guest House. I've studied these directions, tried to retrace them exactly, still no luck, no rooftop spa anywhere in Thamel. Just came from one that was close to rooftop in the area you describe, but no rooftop pool, no 9-10 hots, no full service massage. No tears shed here if I miss the chance but for others who come and want to follow directions to enjoy a good time, well. As things stand you won't find anything. So, a couple of questions / notes. If we can clear this up I'd be glad to know that future mongers can actually find these places after reading their incredible descriptions.

1. There is no such place as Thamel Square. Well -- there is a restaurant that goes by that name not far from Potala, but it itself isn't in a square. As for a "main square" in Thamel? None. It's a warren of narrow alleys, famously easy to get lost there. Spas everywhere, not a single solitary one on any rooftop. I wonder if you meant to say Durbar Square, which is maybe 15 minutes' walk from Potala? Certainly, definitely, from a man who's been 3 x to Thamel, it's incorrect to refer to any "main square" in Thamel itself. I guess maybe you were confused about where the bellboy led you, hardly surprising after all the blood. Left your brain. Shortly after.

2. I've been deeply confused by directions that refer to "coming to Thamel from KTM. " Thamel is IN KTM; you could "approach" Thamel from any direction as it's central in the city. What exactly is meant by "Kathmandu City?" It's a huge city, like a nation-state; Kathmandu City could mean anything!

3. This dance bar, I've looked online to see if there is any mention of it anywhere so I might find an address. None of the names mentioned in this thread bring up anything. Again. Is there more precise info?

Thanks for trying to help us, though! You certainly had a good success here so it must be possible, but right now it's like following a half-destroyed treasure map trying to find these mythical places.

If anyone can give solid info to help me get laid. I'm off tomorrow for a year's assignment deep in the jungles of eastern Bhutan, where I know for a fact sex won't be an option. Would be endlessly grateful if someone can provide solid info before I leave.

I guess you're already in the jungles of Bhutan. Unfortunately, I had exactly the same issue finding the spa and the dance bar. I actually asked at least 5-6 cab drivers and they all mentioned having heard of it, but hadn't seen it. A bit mystical for sure!

Mate, The SPA I went was with the reference of a guy (Bell boy) from my hotel and I am sure that the SPA location is in Thamel only, But as you said that you have been to every SPA at Thamel so it's either you couldn't get enough information from the local people. The location of the SPA where I have visited is nearby to Thamel Square. Though one can reach there only if he has leads as that SPA does provide FS with good girls. Kindly note that the location of the SPA is before Thamel Sqaure if you are going from KTM. And it's on the right lane while we drive from KTM to Thamel. Don't go after Thamel Square, Hope this may help you.

It was Potala Guest House. Good place you will find mostly foreigners there. Sorry, I don't remember the bellboy's name. He was short height guy. I booked Deluxe Rooms, So I didn't have any problem. Guest house is operate by a lady who always warn you about all these Dance bars and Mongering. But After 10 pm She goes off to bed that time if you already have word with the bellboy then you can bring birds but you have to settle it with Bellboy and have to send birds back before 6. Bellboy will tell you about this all. I have stayed only 2 days and 1 night there. It was a good exp.

I am now convinced Kathmandu is not a good place for fun. In the last few days I went to practically all the spas in and around Thamel and the ones that are reasonable in terms of cleanliness don't seem to offer additional services; ones that are not, either have old women or are so nasty that I can only marvel at those that can do it there. I actually went up to one of those with a very cute and young girl, but walked out despite she being naked. The room was filthy and there was a faint odor from the girl as well. I just paid her and walked.

I also visited all the dance bars, made friends with a girl in one of those to the extent that she has been calling me on the phone (international call), yet seems unsure of visiting my hotel room. I just bought her a drink and gave her 1 k Nepali rupees as a tip the first day. Maybe she thought I'll keep coming back and spending in the bar. I did manage to unhook her bra and cup her breast while in the bar, which she was okay with, actually putting on a loose jumper to hide the shape of my hand on her breast. But I have no intention of throwing any more money unless I see a return on the investment..

And about the chicks pick-up so it's available on the street of Thamel itself. You have to be alert enough to catch their expressions or you can try at night, you can find These girls smoking and stand with their pimps or sometime alone. Or best bet would be a cab driver. Asked the cab driver they know and have good contacts. One thing I must tell you buddy that if you are thinking of wasting your money then mongering isn't for you. You have to throw money to build contacts in an unknown place. Ask any Cab driver for better leads, make them friend, offer them booze, Learn how to use your Charm and Money together. Even I spent good money although I have a friend there who wasn't ready to accept a single penny from my side for my enjoyment, still I did. I paid for the booze (Sometimes) and for a few chicks whom I liked more and repeated.

Have you tried Daalima Dance Bar? It's where I had fun. There are many Dance Bars at that place where can be other good possibilities, Don't be tired and disgusted.

I have been to Pokhra once and I scored there as well though I didn't have any friend there. I asked the Taxi and Cab wala and build my contacts, I used to pay for 2 hotel rooms in 2 different places just in case any LE problems happen. Fortunately that didn't happened and I had fun with few good chicks there, So this is all about how you plan. No offence!

To cut a long story short, I think you either need contacts like Blackstone or you pay exorbitant rates to arrange girls through the pimps lining the streets of Thamel, who would quite possibly still be dead fish and would just lie there, expecting a quick missionary fuck.

What a way to ring in the new year. I do hope its not an indication of times to come!

Look forward to reading Blackstones FRs and hopefully he will provide some better pointers and names. I sure as hell could not find the roof top spa he mentioned. The quest did help me get a little fit as I walked up to every stupid massage place that was on 2nd floor or above in any building within a radius of 500 m from Thamel square.

The MPs I have visited are on Thamel area, There is a small lane after the Main square, Follow that lane and asked the nearby shop about the SPA which is on Roof top, You can find a few in Thamel as well. Almost every Dance Bar at Thamel has good chicks but they don't offer ST, Only LT and charged high and service wise its average I found. Better you can ask the bouncers at the gate that which girl would be nice or sometimes they have good contacts too, I got one from them at first night as my local friend joined me after one day. You have to pay the bouncer 1 k extra. He will certainly help you.

You can visit the Daalima DB at KTM city where I had fun (Fucked almost every girl) My friend is the owner so it was like 'Dinner is ready go feast yourself'. LOL.

Strip joints are available in Thamel, but I will suggest you to avoid that if you are venturing it out alone. If you have a group of friends then you can enjoy it more and at the other side it would be safe as well.
