Premier1 is totally right: visa is readily provided at US 50 upon arrival. But that also goes for trip by bus, at border crossing. No hassle. And the advantage of that way is that you might stop over at Kisumu (for lake and ladies), or at Jinja (source of the Nile, and natural beauties).

With respect to Rwanda (as you mentioned on another post), if your sole purpose of going there is women, then save yourself the time, expense and aggravation and just remain in Uganda - plenty of Rwandans to pick off there...

To go to Rwanda you need first to apply a permit to the Foreign office
of Rwanda. The have online forms at the official government web site.
You make your application online and they send you the permit by e-mail.
You print the permit and you are ready to enter Rwanda. Visa cost
is 50 US$ at the border. Visiting Uganda and Burundi and coming back to
Kenya You do not pay visa for Kenya when you have still a valid Kenya
visa. In Tanzania is the same. How they deal it in Uganda I do not know.
That means, if you get a 30 days Ugandan visa, go to Rwanda and reentry
to Uganda within the 30 days of validity is a new visa necessary or not.
In analogy to the other countries reentry should be free, but I am not sure
about it.

Do you speak spanish by any chance?

Has anyone ever tried to obtain a ugandan visa at the embassy in Kenya? How long does it take?
I am not confident that with the passport I hold I would be able to get it on arrival.

No, I'm not living in Kenya but I'm a "muzungu" living in Asia; so I'm quite used in mongering in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia but in Africa I know quite well only Madagascar. I'm planning my next trip in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. I like hardcore chicks but I get bored after a while so I prefer semi pro. No pro. About Uganda I read, quite often, reports of mongers (not all) that find not so easy score "normal girls" in club and bars in kampala so I was thinking that medium or small size towns in Uganda can give more opportunities because girls are not so used in "whites". I supposed but I'm not sure so I was asking some info
Thanks

I was just in Mbarara last weekend. Just passing through. It's there, but not like Kampala. Jinja doesn't have much going for it in my opinion. A lot of tourists and plenty of interesting things to do, but my evening driving downtown looking for nightspots was a zero. Maybe someone else out there has more to say about it.

I'm planning to travel from kenya to Kampala and from kampala to Kigali (Rwanda) next month by buses. Any info about good places where to pick up girls? I was thinking about Mbarara (I saw there is a quite big university) and Jinja specially but I'm opened also for other places.
Thanks for any help and / or advice

Was staying up from Kabalagala recently. Left Capital Pub empty handed (as usual) one night but this one followed me home (on foot). Only thing I ever touched from there...

Since when was it decided that Red Pepper moderated this thread?
Red Pepper is nothing more than a less than credible gossip rag. Of course they'd rather "lift" content off this site rather than do something that resembles investigative reporting as it's served up to them on a silver platter here. After all, cut and paste certainly beats trying to take a picture of some Muzungu getting blown in the bathroom at Al's...
And speaking of Al's and/or any other public venue, why all of the secrecy? Don't think for one second that all of Kampala doesn't know what goes on at these places - the "American club" included...
Lastly, assume the entire world sees the pics posted here and act accordingly...

New Vision did an interesting article on action in Makinde. Can anyone recommend any places? Since it's already hit the papers, which "inn" were they referring to?
