Try Felix 809-710-1441,he speaks english and does multiple pick up,drop off at different airports.He also will wait up if your on the 3am spirit flight.

I watched Sanky Panky on my flight down to rep dom.

I watched parts of the movie "Yuniol", made in Santo Domingo. The parts I watched were kind of heavy, with depictions of crime. The story is about rich Dominicans and poor Dominicans in Santo Domingo.

I did about three trips where I stayed at the Hamaca in Boca Chica. One trip I saw about ten people from Puerto Rica who were partying in the pool and in that small jacuzzi type pool they have near the swim up bar. The swim up bar was always fun, we met women from the States hanging out there. Hamaca had that small disco.

I saw Sanky Panky on cable. The first time I heard the words sanky pankies was on Hotel Coral Hamaca in boca Chica. I arrived to the hotel with two co-workers for a weekend of fun. Our room was beachfront, almost pool front. We noticed a leak on the bathroom so we called for assistance. A guy arrived within 5 minutes and told us to go out and have fun while he solves the problem. We proceeded to go to the bar adjacent to the small beachfront pool near our room. One hour later I was drunk by the pool and talking with two cute puertorican babes from NY. The girls were topless and their full see and the cup firm breasts were getting my attention. The girls confessed they were bisexuals and wanted us to take them to a strip club. A few minutes later the handayman on the room went out and told us that everything was ok, then offered that he can take us (the guys) to the girls club after his work shift. The girls began to sing "sanky pankies, sanky pankies" because they thought the guy was proposing itself to us. I asked the guy the meaning of sanky panky and he told us "a tiguere, a man who is in control of the girls". We all know that it has a different meaning.

A Sankie from what I understand is a Dominican guy on the Island who gets money from white women. Men are not the only ones going to the DR for sex. I have seen plenty of white women with Dominican guys who work in the resorts. My first trip to DR was to Punta Cana, I can remember going to Mangu Disco, I saw big, big white German chicas getting grinded and fondled by small Dominican guys. I was told those guys are Sankies.

Most of the DR people I know said that they believed life outside DR was easy, with lot of jobs available and money everywhere. It was not easy, even for legals, to live outside their country, far from friends and relatives, being discriminated. It is harder if they have no education.

I watched Sanky Panky on my flight down to rep dom. The lady sitting next to me must have thought I was crazy the way I kept laughing. The three dudes were far from the typical macho Dominicano I see but they were still some funny dudes. That fine chica who worked at the resort is a typical, beautiful Dominicana.

60 Millas al Este is the flip side of Sanky Panky. I purchased the DVD when it was first released. The original release does not have English subtitles. As far as I am concerned I was watching a silent movie understanding very little if any Spanish. My understanding the second release has English subtitles.

If one has spent time in the barrio tin roof shacks, time in the campo, time visiting some one who lives in one of the many shacks on the Autopista Durate you will have a better feeling for why people do what they do.

Living in the USA I had a mind set that people can better themselves if they have the desire. It is a fact that is not the case in rep dom. I would think a vast majority of the chicas do what they do because they don't have much other choice when it comes to earning some cash. 60 Millas al Este paints a true picture of the plight of Dominicanos. I have shown the video to a couple of chicas and they all had the same reply to the film,,,,,,,,,,the film is true life Dominican style.

Whenever I buy something in rep dom I always wonder if I paid too much. Except for the larger stores nothing you buy has a price sticker. I was sitting at the colmado across from Navarro Hotel in Santo Domingo and a guy walks up selling this bird thing. I don't know why but I kind of liked this stupid thing. So the usual "barter" Dominican starts. I go cuanto cuesta este? His reply 800 pesos. I laugh and I think he started to describe all the details of this dumb bird that makes it worth 800 pesos. I then tell him no hablo espanol of which I really don't.

Now the question and answer period starts. The price goes from 800 pesos to $25 in English. I shake my head no and wave the finger. This guy won't leave. The price now is bouncing all over the place and I have done the math in my head and know less than $10 I will buy this bird thing. Price is now $20, two seconds later 600 pesos. Later 5oo pesos showing five fingers. I say 300 pesos and he is like am I crazy. I continue to sip my beer and keep shaking him off. Five minutes later I am putting this bird thing in a plastic bag to bring back to the states. 300 pesos.

Although I purchased this thing for the price I was willing to pay one always ask ones self. "Did I still over pay? "
