I haven't been to Rio in about four years. I'm devastated that Help closed! I loved that place. I found the most amazing girls there. More than a few times I ended up with girls from Barbarella's, though I never actually went there. What's it like in Barbarella's these days? Still good?

No I'm going to try that saturday, weather permiting, and then on the night time, MudBug, and then hopefully on to that club next to Dolce Vita. Last week that place was queuing down the street, but it's a totally brazilian crowd, so I might bottle it.
If you want to spend 20-30 mins watching the world go by, try Kice-Sucos on the corner of Miguel Lemos and NS de Copacabana. Try the pasta de frango and peach shake, and then the expresso. Sorts the hangover out, with good people watching.
Went to 4x4 today, and this place is never a disapointment. Tons of girls and a great atmosphere. Got there early and wanted to session before 5pm. Saw afew from last year. I could not decide on what I wanted, and left it till 4.45pm and the boite was getting empty. The ones I had my eye on were snapped up, so I grabbed a blonde that i saw from last year. She spoke ok english and was completa. Great perfomace in the room and was up for everything, we went well well after the phone rang. 40 mins in the cabin (Which was huge compared to the others I've been in) plus 4 skol and 3 caiprahina = 280 odd reals = BARGAIN

I am loving living in Brazil. Learn the language, find an open minded lady to share adventures with and set out. Then you will learn what the ladies here truly think. But you will not like what you hear. Of course, many of you are married so this is not an option for you.
The US and Europe will be in the dumper for a long time. I wrote about this last year. All the economy turnaround talk is hype and you wait to see what happens the rest of this year.

Ask for their permission and that way they will see that you have no bad intentions what so ever.
KK what about the pics, do you think that will be possible?

This is how many people were in front of Othon yesterday afternoon at around 3.30pm. I walked passed afew times and saw no GDP's. Last year
I hung out here, as it was a good place to people watch, and maybe pick
up somthing cheap for some afternoon delight. There was always somthing There
I've been here 2 weeks and seen no real beach action in front of Othon or in front of Balcony for that matter. Meia was always busy with different GDP's every afternoon, but this year everything is quiet.

I would imagine he would need to ask Darlene and Brenda if it was ok to give out their telephone number or email. I know they are GDPs, but just posting their contact info on the board without their permission, isnt a good move.

For those who might like a visual memory of the mucky alleyways:
Vila Mimosa (Paperback)
by Hanspeter Schneider (Photographer)
is available very cheaply from the Amazon UK website (currently unavailable when I last checked the U.S. based one).
I picked up a copy second-hand. It's a large format book, a collection of first-rate colour photography with occasional quotes added. But there's something about it that will - at first - maybe scream to some readers, 'That's not the Mimosa I know.'
It's more like the Mimosa of someone who walks through once and sees the average cross-section. The photographer delights in the overweight, gross, unvarnished 'truth' as much as the occasional sexy looking girl. I didn't like the book when I first opened it. Now I do. It brings back memories of girls I have got to know in the sense of knowing their private expressions as well as the ones reserved for punters. Of women whose extended family I may have met. The poses are not so much, 'Come here, sexy' but, 'This is how I look when I'm doing a "Come here, sexy."'
When I've photographed women at VM it has almost always with the intention of making them look their best (for their sake and mine). Schneider more wants to hit you between the eyes.
Shit-street level and very real. Just don't expect a collection of nice ISG pics of the loveliest lookers in alluring poses.
"His pictures, taken in a fragment of a second, are frozen stories. They start before the push of the button and go on in the fantasy of the viewer after the shutter is closed"
"His images provoke humour and offer a taste of a darker world in a more colourful way."
Ho hum . . .

She did the same thing to me in 4x4, she wouldnt allow any pictures of her face, I was really pissed because she told me in the boite that she had no problems with fotos. The fucked up part is that she has done like 5 pornos, so I dont understand all the modesty.
The fact that Darlene did want Brenda to see you taking pictures of her is really odd too. I wonder why she would care considering Darlene has done about 12 pornos herself. I swear,I can never figure these females out.
