if the best rate i could get at terra linda was $69 for a queen bed, or worse, $89 for the rooms with a king or 2 queens, i would have stayed at el rancho, which is also new, and was asking $45 a night. but i'm not surprised that terra linda has raised their rates. i knew that they would once they started filling up.

i heard thru the grapevine that their electric bill is outrageous. thats probably why they are trying to jack up the price. if its $69 when i go back then i'll probably go elsewhere.

They were definitely trying to do anything to get things jump started. When I was there several weeks back, it was $55 a night.. but anything over a one week stay was $45 a night. They were still about 1/3 occupancy, while the New Garden was full.

It's all word of mouth and regulars that make the difference I think.

My friend emailed me and said TL told him that the $55 was a promotional rate and is no longer available. All in all I was glad to have been "get'in it while the get'in was good."

If the new prices are too pricey then here is a list of alternate chica-friendly hotels:

Sad to say the accomodations don't seem to be all that much better though. New Garden is probably going to be the best alternative. List is provided by Ehunter and is current as of Feb 2010. He's going to have to go back and update his listing for TL.

*Sidenote: I walked over to Sosua Bay hotel with my wingman because he was thinking of staying there. The chica at the front desk told him (for the non-all inclusive side) that the WiFi is not free. I forgot what the price was but it is only 2 hours of Internet access.

And maybe it's just me, so I apologize in advance if I just don't get it. But honestly, I don't see the difference between the two other than that one charges for her services (see my previous post for a multitude of other comparisons). Let's examine this further: Pro vs. Paris Hilton since she seems to be the poster child of the "girls just wanna have fun" gringa.

I'm thinking there's a moral difference between a hooker back home and a hooker in some hell hole country.

Back home, she has choices in education, jobs and can probably find a guy to marry who will be faithful to her, or at least discreet. If she turns out on the street she deserves to be called all those terrible names some use here.

Your logic comes from your point of view, not the puta. As it stands now, those of us who fall for the BS are just fools to be taken advantage of, and that they do. Something in me has me believing that not all girls want to be out there hooking. Some have to do it because of circumstance I am sure.
