Not much action that end of town. You do get some girls sometimes in the Buddha bar or the bar on the 42nd floor in the the Grosvenor House.

There is no street action close to your hotel. But if you take an evening walk at the Marina Walk (in front of Jumeirah Beach Residence) you might see some action. This is a very short taxi ride from the hotel. You can actually take the walk there if you don't mind the heat. I remember having seen one report on the issue not too long ago.

If you go back to the hotel together, the trick is to make a pit stop at one of the bars at the pool level and then go up from there, or to use the elevators from the area of the conference part of the hotel.

Although I consider myself somewhat of a resident expert on the massage action in Dubai, over the last 2-4 weeks I have seen a few massage places shutting down. Does anyone know if there is a crackdown on these places? I am especially referring to the Thai and Chinese (ostensibly legit) joints in Al Murooj building (behind Sea Shell Hotel near Computer street - a favourite haunt of mine due to the sheer variety and value available). I am not getting any response on 3 MPs in this building alone.....no response on the phone and when I actually visit the place, the doors are locked and there is no response to the doorbell. Anyone knows what's going on?

About 2 or 3 months ago there was a lot of attention on Massage parlours.
Was also in the press.

CID/ LE did a lot of undercover stuff and closed down a bunch of them... temporarily.

Thing is... difficult to pin it on the owner. He can always say the girls were just doing their own thing.
Girls will be arrested and deported and after a while he can open up again if it was under a proper trade licence.

First of all, I'm not sure if that hotel will allow you to easily take girls up.
Best check on the hotels thread. I rarely ever use hotels here since I have my own place and will not play if the Mrs. is around.

Secondly.. in that area you are not likely to find street walkers.
Whatever you do find will be overpriced.

You are more or less equidistant to Bur Dubai or Rattlesnake.
(20-25 mins by cab max)

Suggest you look around there.

Not really advisable to pick up street walkers here anyway.
If thats your thing... Bur Dubai at around 3 AM has plenty around York/ regal/ Spinneys area.

Not worth the risk IMHO.
