That's right. It's actually IN the Olympic Stadium. Going north on Olimpisky Prospect, you'll just pass the stadium when you'll see a paybooth and barrier to a ramp taking you to the second level parking lot. Go up the ramp, through the parking lot, and around to the back side of the stadium. It'll be the place with all the taxis lined up.

If you want sex ON SITE... it is NOT the place to go. But strip clubs are a bad deal when it comes to sex anyway. $300 per hour? That's some mighty pricey pussy. Standard price at salons, apartments or mamba is $80/hour.

The only club in that area is Penthouse.

"That area" meaning Moscow? Because they're not proximally located. Aurora, in fact, is quite a bit closer to Show Girls than Penthouse.

Sad to say, but there aren't a lot of people who make worthwhile contributions to this forum on a regular basis. Of the members who are on the ground in Moscow and do have something valuable to contribute, there are only 2: Doc and Pizdyets.

The rest of us chime in, as and when we can, but the majority of the chatter is just people talking off the top of their head: a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

BTW - Your insecurity is really very unflattering. Best keep it to yourself.

Thanks for the assist, Strav. And yes, the girls are quite good looking. Starting at 6s and working up to 9+ nearly-perfect ice princesses (or as they say in Russian, "snow queens"), including every shape/size/tint you could possibly want. I did notice that there was only a single black girl there (Aurora and Penthouse usually have more). From my brief discussions, seems that most of the girls are from the Moscow regions: Ryazan, Tver, Kaluga and so on. Of course if you ask a girl in a strip club (especially as a foreigner), they'll usually claim that they're from Moscow. But if you then start pressing them for info (and I know Moscow pretty well after 10 years), they'll usually cough up the goods on their real origin. Like I give a shit if they're native Moskvichki or not!

Was just reading the website (I think it's Russian only - sorry). And under "special offers", it states that sex is not allowed on the club premises, and that if you can prove to the contrary there's a guaranteed $300 reward. Good luck, boys!

BTW, I see that they have 2 karaoke places listed as "friends". And Metelitsa on New Arbat is also turning into a karaoke joint. Are the Mongol hordes invading Russia again? Speaking more directly to the point, has anybody had a real "KTV" experience here in Moscow? I'm not a huge KTV fan, but I have to admit that it's fun in groups occasionally.

Face it, there's a very small handful of us here who report on the nightclub (as opposed to stripclub) scene. Pretty much just Passepartout, Doc and myself. Speaking of which, the current scene is simply horrible. Where have all the attractive girls disappeared to? The question is, of course, rhetorical. This summer is a scorcher and the hot deffki have better things to do, better places to see than the sweaty interior of a downtown club. Recent visits to Che, Coyote Ugly and Real McCoy turned up very little of interest.

On a bright note, I had the unexpected pleasure of (re-)visiting the strip club in Olympic Stadium, called either "Show Girls" or "KoKo" depending upon who you ask. In a word, it's the anti-Aurora. More cabaret show than strip club, the focus is less on sex and more on titillation. Management encourages the girls. Who act more like family than co-workers. To get to know their clients. That includes sitting with them for hours. Chatting, smoking kalyan, and of course drinking. Very different than the "wham, bam, thank you sir" attitude at Aurora with its management wearing a permanent frown and keeping the girls in constant, unending rotation in hopes of driving up their revenues. And, interestingly enough, the management at Show Girls actually likes the girls to hook up with clients outside the club. The owner, apparently, met his wife in a strip club and I heard him boasting about how many girls from his club ended up marrying his clients and starting families! Not sure I'll hang out there often, but if you're looking for companionship, conversation and attention more than sex (which in this town, is trivial to find at any salon) then this is the place for you.

Yes, that's true. The AD of the Moscow unit had the idea to include a scene where the Vietnamese girlfriend cut off the hand of the burning pimp with one of those butterfly swithchblades that she keeps tucked away in her garter (those Viet girls are very good with those things) and then carry it with her to the airport. But the director nixed the idea after seeing the rushes, so it ended up on the cutting room floor. Except of course, there is no cutting room floor, since we are shooting this film with digital cameras. Seems the director thought there was just way too much sex and violence in films nowadays.

We're in post-production now, looking at a release date in L.A. sometime before Christmas. That way we should qualify for Academy consideration. Who knows???
