I am going to SJ this week and will be there Wednesday 8/11-8/19. Since this group has been so useful for me with its information, I wanted to see if anyone in the group is in SJ this week and would like to meet up. I'm staying at the Tiquicia and am going to be doing a "tour" of SJ before heading down to Manuel Antonia and maybe Jaco.

Because of my work I cann't take off any other time of the year other than in December. Will there be enough chica crowd in DL during this time of the year? I would appreciate any feedback.

I believe it was Delani, or something similar. Definitely not a common name. She was there with friends as far as I know. Happy hunting, BM.

Ok, well apparently back when, there were a fair amount of the del rey bartenders that were fired. I have a question if anybody knows the whereabouts of one of these girls. I could of swore her name was Dianna (sp?), but when I asked the other bartenders this past February about her, they didn't remember her based on the description. She only worked there for a short time, which I'm thinking was something like jan/feb 2009-oct/nov 2009. She was 19 years old then with 2 kids. Jet black hair. She had a circle-type design tatoo on the back of her neck, and this was probably the one thing that would distinguish her (I know there were multiple Dianna's working there at one time). Super good looking. Does anybody remember her or have contact info for her? Please!

Weasal, I have had the pleasure of Jenny as well. That is like asking who was a better basketball player, Magic or Bird. Tough decision but I would have to give the edge to Fabiola as I found her to be more GFE. No rush, but took her for the hour so that surely helped. No pressure to take two girls like Jenny has become known for lately, although I am told Jenny works lesbo magic with another chica. Also, Fabiola was extremely attentive, constantly looking into my eyes as she bobbed up and down and asking me if I was enjoying myself and what she can do to make it more pleasurable. Maybe I can just chalk it up to the chemistry being better.

Can't go wrong with either and how about the two of them together! If I ever see the two of them together at Relax I will most certainly try that if they are in to each other. Be ready to be drained! Pura vida, Bunda.

currently on day 3 of our 5 day adventure in san jose staying at the sl.

i was rather surprised at the volume at the hdr on a wednesday night. i enjoyed playing some 1-2 nl in a pretty loose game, but luck was not with me losing set over set on my last hand. enough of the bad beats. arrived on wednesday and met a nice tica at the sl in the afternoon, she said she had only been "working" for 3 days so i thought i would give the amateur for a spin. she wanted 80, i countered 50 and we settled on 60. we had a good time. she kinda latched on to me though after i went out to the bar and i made the mistake of sitting down with her and her friend, once i realized everything was going on my bill (originally she asked for chips, i didn't realize that was nachos) plus their drinks, i got out of there and closed my tab. my buddy arrived later in the evening and we headed over to the hdr. we picked up a pair of friends for 80 each, they seemed to draw a hardline or maybe our negotiation skills were rusty. then we all got in a taxi to hit the am/pm supermercado down the street for beers and cuba libres for the girls (rum and coke) and then up to the sl and got hit with a 6k colones (rip off, should have been a hair over 2k). the experience with these two were subpar (i enjoyed the amateur a lot more the night before). also the next day we realized we got charged for a few missing items from the minibar (food items). so that prompted us to store the mini-bar food tray in one of the drawers so they are not taken like free candy from the ticas. we were both pretty tired on thursday (yesterday) and took it easy, i pulled a pretty girl from the sl bar that reminded me of the colombian's i had met in cartagena a few months back, she wanted 80, i countered 50, then 60 she said that was too low for her, i told her i pulled a girl ayer for 60, she said she must have been ugly, lol. then she said 70 and i said fine.

a few words about the sl:

pro's:

* i like the free internet and access to the two pc's, although sometimes i have seen the ticas using them, i probably could have just asked them to get out or probably to be more cordial asked someone who worked there to kick them off of the pc's. even as i sit here at 10: 30 there is one on the other one next to me.

* the boutique gym is a nice touch although it could use some cooling, either ac or fans at the least; the large windows in the front, while tinted, do not open and the room can get hot.

* the complimentary continental breakfast is o. k. (some fruit, bread, yogurt, and jams) although we ended up buying breakfast each day.

* easy access to the rooms from picking up a tica from the bar was a plus

* the cable channel selection was nice even a 24h porn channel which my buddy enjoys.

* no fee regulation size pool table is a nice perk.

* the ac works very well in the bedroom, although tough to cool off the main living area as well, there are ceiling fans and the jacuzzi was nice to have available to us.

con's:

* we stayed in the presidential suite (first room as you walk in). it is large and spacious but a few cons worth mentioning: each morning at about 8am we were greeted with a worker scraping paint off of the bars outside of the windows. we chose this room since there were two of us but the person not sleeping in the bed will have a rather unpleasant sleeping experience in the pull out sofa w/ 3. 5 legs holding the bed up. the couches are quite dated and you sink to near the ground when you sit in them.

* the food was adequate, not really much of a con, the service is slow but i think that is usual with south america. beware of the flies in the morning. first day i ordered a burger, was not asked how i liked it, received it well done, it was less than average. i much prefer the food at the hdr. although i just heard the wings here were very good so i will need to try that later.

* the bar closes at midnight (at least the last few nights), it is quite loud in the room from 10-1am. may not be much of a problem for those that get over their jet lag and stay up until all hours.

we're going to check out a few of the massage parlors today, i might get a massage but not much else, i'm pretty tired from my stay, i think 5 days here is pushing it. time to pace myself as the 10 rules to the sl says on the wall.

John: Yes, Ticas, Nicas, Colombianas, Venezolanas, and sometimes Gringas hang out at the SL bar looking for biz. I prefer the scene and the drink/food prices at SL, relative to HDR. As far as spots to hit. You can't really go wrong with Hotel Little Havana, Idem and Relax. Any of the cabbies out front of SL know where they are. You can walk to Little Havana from SL, passing by New Fantasy (I never sessioned there) along the way.

I'm there this weekend. Have a good trip.
