Any leads on a decent hotel in or near downtown, less than 100 dollars a night and with pool for lounging when not mongering?

Doesn't look like the Speke has a pool.

There is a very nice hotel. Sorry I do not remember the name. Located several blocks away from Speke. It has an indoor pool. Go left as you leave Speke. Continue past Imperial, past the police station. In that direction. It will be a few blocks down across from a nice local crafts market. It is under $100 and great rooms!

The Speke does not have a pool when I stayed there in September 2008. However, it is a GREAT place to stay and very girl-friendly. Even one of the receptionists there wanted to fuck but I was too busy with other girls. Also speke has free breakfast buffet that is decent & a nice pizza place too.

If you want pool, you can stay at speke & just walk over to the Hilton (I think it is Hilton accros the street but it is some american-type hotel you will recognize the name) and just ask them to use their pool & gym/spa. They have excellent weight room & treadmills & an awesome pool. I think it was equivellent of 10$ per day or maybe $20 per day which would bring you total to $100 day with speke + pool at hotel across the street (its the only hotel & huge garden area, someone here will know the name). I even heard some guy tell me he just went across the street & acted like he was staying there & used the pool and no one said anything to him. I know the hotel itself was like 150 or 200 per night and it is NOT girlfriendly & big hassel to get in/out due to excessive security. Good luck & please post if you find a better option of hotel with pool. Kampala is a GREAT place!

Up country: just go to a bar or disco and smile at someone you like. Usually within half an hour she will gladly follow you to your room. I had a good time in Uganda. Rock garden rocks, but few beauties there: most are with high milage. Kabalagala Capital bar same point

Had to go to Uganda for work, so prepared on "tagged" and YESSS, the girl with whom I had had e-mail exchange did pop up. Student at Makerere, very easy going, small and exactly like her pictures. No hang ups and stayed the first night straight away. We explored all corners of the bed, great oral, 69, positions etc. She was glad for a slightly smaller penis than her boy friend's who still scared her with the size of his dick: she will not ride him for fear of pain.

There are two Fang Fang establishments. The restaurant in Workers Tower and the Hotel and restaurant just down from the Sheraton. Wasn't aware of any back rooms in either or the potential of there being any! Must investigate further.

The former location is actually in the "Communications house". I've been to both locations numerous times (the Curry Chicken is highly recommended).

Again, these two Fang Fang locations have nothing to do with the subject matter. Yes, you can get a massage at the hotel by a dated Chinese women (who also splits her time in the restaurant) but why on earth would you want to?

Bottom line is that there are plenty of ST hotels to choose from in Kampala...

This is the Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo. They have rooms at the back

Nicely written up. Thanks for sharing that. You're spot on that it is very easy to meet women and (at least up front) never have to pay for sex. Sometimes, at least, it is nice to not have to deal with anything before or afterwards (sms', expectations, etc.). I've met some amazing, sexy, older, financially secure, and career oriented women who have been great friends, companions and lovers, without the pressure, emotion, or financial expectations of the younger Kampala crowd.
