What bugs me most is that they waste a whole page of a passport. With a few trips in Indonesia, and China plus a page needed for a work permit every year its no ownder passports only last 2 weeks.

In this day and age of passports with chips and biometrics you have to even wonder why visa stamps/visa pages are even necessary.

That´s why I have a multiple entry visa for Indonesia.

The old days it was easy to get but now I need an official letter from the Immigration office in Jakarta. The multiple entry Visa is valid for one year. I don´t know the cost right now (company pays).

The change started officially on 26 january 2010. From that day no more VOA's valid for a week. Instead, a 30-day visa and as a bonus, it is extendable for another 30 days without having to leave the country.
