Reading on the Artemis thread I noted that Kimino mentioned that Artemis management have Italian language instructions on how to buy drinks tokens from reception to be able to buy alcoholic drinks from the bar since FKKs generally operate cashless once the entry is paid.

Normally I arrive at 11:20 A.M. and travel to my hotel in downtown Frankfurt is not an issue. This time however, I was arriving at 06:35 A.M. so I was aware that I might run into "Rush Hour" and problems with my hotel.

Clearance by German Customs / Immigration & Passport Control was a non-event. (In fact, there were no Customs workers to check you after you secured your luggage and then left the area.) When I arrived in the Airport Train station I noted a lot of people, mostly tourists, milling about the Ticket machines. It seemed that the machines were not accepting paper currency. No one seemed to notice that there was a Currency Exchange shop there, so I was able to quickly obtain the correct change for my trip. In this case, I purchased a full day pass of 9,35€ because I intended to go to my hotel and then to Palace. I would also use the train to return from Palace, hence a day ticket was a better purchase than 3 one-ways at 3,80€. (A day ticket for Frankfurt purchased after 9 A.M. can be had for 6€.) So, with ticket in hand I plunged through the crowd to Track 1 to await either S8 or S9.

I arrived at my hotel by about 07:30 A.M. because I was not really pushing it. After a warm welcome by the Front Desk frau, I learned that my room would not be available till 2 P.M. I toyed with the idea of leaving my larger bags in the lockers in the Hauptbahnhof, since my economy hotel had little facility for that, but in the end I took my bags and all and went around the corner to my favourite Deli/Coffee shop for breakfast instead. What a joy to walk into a shop and have the staff remember you and greet you like family! Afterwards I returned to the hotel and with some friendly persuasion I obtained my room by 09:30 A.M. So I settled in my room and then was finally off to Palace!

The day was sunny and warm and got even hotter when I rounded the stone wall between Konigsberger Str and Brietenbachstrasse across from the U train stop Industriehof and first laid eyes on the Palace sign! I finally arrived there at 11:20 A.M. and was buzzed in. The facilities have previously been described; the only detail that needs mentioning are the ladies / bears present. And might I say that initially there were not that many ladies there, but that there were even fewer bears. saturday in palace
