    Rio One-Time Cleaning Service

Anyone able to recommend a cleaning service to do a one-time clean, top to bottom, of an apartment prior to move-in of a tenant?

I need a service to literally scrub the floors, walls, etc. of an apartment in Copa prior to the tenant taking possession.

Not a job for a day-maid as it requires thoroughly cleaning several rooms, bathrooms, walls, etc.

Anyone know a good service that would do this even for a higher price?

    Thx.

First ask from yourself a few questions:

Do I tolerate people with less education than myself.
Do I want to support someone for rest of her life.
Do I stand the prejudice of my friends, co-workers, family, neighbours etc.
Do I have balls to go through the interracial relationship in general

    Honestly, think what you're doing.

Although as per my understanding there is nothing worse than american women so you can't go too wrong.
It is true that there is nothing worse than women. The problem in bringing a brazilian to the US is that they will be infected with american culture and become the american woman you were trying to avoid. The only way I know to avoid this is to move to Brazil and stay with the girl there.

    Privé Confusion

I am a bit confused about Jú Panteras and Mural da Prazer (http://www.muraldoprazer.com/mulhere...largodomachado). Although I may be mistaken, both seem to have a privé near the Largo do Machado metro station. Actually it appears that they have the same phone number (3185-4060). Can anyone confirm that they are indeed the same establishment? And I assume that Mural da Prazer is different than Bel Prazer? Thanks.

Why the assumption Illini33 is aiming for uneducated mulatta favelada, unless of course that's your target profile Answer to the man's question is: 'What are you looking for? Anybody can bag something easy to catch.

Good one. You hit the nail on the head with your last line. Of course, this group of men are biased. :-)

Without being controversial, loooooong gone are the days when brasilian girls wanted to escape their country. The women aren't desperate anymore to leave Brasil (or, for that matter, FSU countries) to escape economic doom, to live a boring middle-class suburban life in Colombus-Ohio or Frankfurt-Germany. Economies have improved dramatically everywhere since the 90's. Sex-hungry foreign tourists aren't interesting anymore as an escape option.

Furthermore, the few "normal" girls who want to leave abroad got everywhere exposed to higher-class tourism and have raised their standard. They aren't just looking for "anyone", but rather "the One".

That said, the poorer girls remain one-track mind gold-diggers. It's in their blood and called survival. If it's what you are looking for.

    Thread Split

    Greetings Everyone,

I moved the last several pages of discussion regarding "Racism against foreigners in Brazil" to another thread in this forum titled "Racism against foreigners in Brazil".

    http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...ead.php?t=3158

This "Thread Splitting" process is not perfect, and it's possible that I may have inadvertently moved/did not move a few reports. If you find that your own report was also moved/not moved, please don't take it personally.

    Thanks,

    Jackson

Now before someones says the Brazilian economy is growing strongly, well yes it is. However it has had booming economies before, big booms in fact. Sadly, because it does not reform its legal system the boom turns to a bust as most of the wealth generated is stolen by the elite upper class and the underclass's suffer. Will this boom last? Who knows, but the reforms the government has been putting in place are painfully slow and serious reforms are still needed if Brazil wishes to continue its development.

    Corruption in Brazil: Not prejudice

It is a fact that some countries, societies and cultures are more corrupt than others. Observing that fact is not prejudice. Check out the latest data from transparency org about corruption perception of ALL countries of the world released this week. Brazil is not on the bottom but significantly lower than the top 20 least-corrupt nations.

And yes, in my opinion if a Brazilian air marshall were to arrest the wife of a famous American judge, the marshall would have been treated more than fairly. The Judge and his wife would have been in trouble and the cop probably would have been interviewed by all major networks and sent home with commendation. I am not prejudiced. That is a fact of life.

So you are basically saying that nobody can say anything bad about another countries legal system because that would mean they are bias and prejudice. Give me a break!

    Thanks to wiki.

Brazil is one of a few countries that uses both 120 and 240 volts for everyday appliances. Expect the voltage to change back and forth as you travel from one place to the next -- even within the same Brazilian state, sometimes even within the same building. There is no physical difference in the electric outlets (power mains) for the two voltages.

Electric outlets usually accept both flat (North American), and round (European) plugs. Otherwise adaptors from flat blades to round pins are easy to find in any supermarket or hardware shop. Some outlets are too narrow for the German "Schuko" plugs. The best makeshift solution is to buy a cheap T-connection and just force your "Schuko" in, -the T will break, but it will work. Very few outlets have a grounding point, and some might not accept newer North American polarized plugs, where one pin is slightly larger. Again, use the cheap T. Near the border with Argentina, you might occasionally find outlets for the Australia/New Zealand-type plug. If crossing the border, you'll probably need this adapter as well.

In 2009/2010, a the IEC 60906-1 was introduced in Brazil and some newer buidings already have it. It is backwards compatible with the Europlug, but it has a receded socket. Again, T-plugs can be used as adapters for other common formats.

Frequency is 60Hz, which may disturb 50 Hz electric clocks. Blackouts are less and less frequent, but you always run a risk at peak of high season in small tourist towns.

Two pins european will work and taking a two flat oins (USA) adaptor will sort out if soemwhere they are on US sockets
In most cases the socket is dual: two pins euro/USA
