Warning! The road crews were digging up Cordova from Gore all the way up to Jackson yesterday, August fifth, and it looked like they were planning on "laying pipe" (wait, they were laying pipe, it's not a euphemism) all the way up the street. Then Cordova from Jackson to Princess was blocked off, first by an ambulance picking up another heat stroke victim and then by loading trucks. The cruising area up until one or so was reduced to the strip between Princess and Glen on the low track.

This didn't limit the number of girls out, though. In fact there were two pregnant SWs wandering about, a chubby blonde who just looked fat but I'd seen her so many times I could tell she had a bun in the oven; and a slim brunette in a slinky black dress who looked to be seven or eight months along. Not my scene, but she had a pretty face, made eye contact and smiled with beautiful pearly whites, and that always puts a gal into the elite of Hastings Street.

I picked up a more discrete jeans and jean jacket wearing young lady with girl next door looks, a brunette who said her name was Megan. Over the last few years this seems to be a popular name for low track SWs, even more so than "Tiffany." A twenty changed hands, latex was applied and I ended my lunch hour a happy man. As I lolled my head over during the cbj I could see Strathcona Park, on Venables Street, and imagined taking a girl right into the middle of the playing field and letting her do me right in the outfield grass. Hey, it was a nice sunny day, and now I'm wondering if anyone working in the area would complain? No, of course I don't have the guts to try it, but a guy can dream.

I must agree very completely! Obviously, where personal and financial matters are concerned, you are taking some risks in chasing ho's. The biggest one is being charged with communicating in public for the puposes of blah blah blah. But, like everything else in life, you weigh the risks and benifits, and for me, I'll be chasing them ho's! There are far more dangerous ways to have fun. Of course, I'm also single, and don't have to worry about a wife guttin me for receiving a Dear John letter from the cops. If I was involved in a serious relationship, I would have a different set of concerns.

As to worrying about violence from a SW? Please. Thats just plain silly.

The STD concern is valid to a point. I wear a cap for anything except handjobs, and even then, I have a good look for clean hands. Everybody is entitled to do as they wish, but I would advise caution, and common sense. Common sense would also dictate that when somebody says that condoms will not protect against HIV, you should laugh in their face. This is the same BS that the bible thumpers are trying to tell kids in school. The results? More babies having babies, and more trips to the free clininc for antibiotics.
With all of these concerns, I always ask myself, "Now what would I do if I didn't have a hard on right now. Common sense and reason goes a long way kids.

Of course I've been blatantly ripped off several times, but that is an inevitable part of this hobby. I'm now more adept at sensing and avoiding rip-offs than I was even 10 years ago. Unlike the cops, politicians, social workers, feminist advocacy groups, and pondering academics--I'm not making any money off the prostitution issue, so who are you going to trust: Them or me?

p.s. by the way, if you guys want a good place to find unprofessional sws, try east broadway just before main street. near the subway. drive around that little residential neighborhood and you'll see a couple of women trying to make a few bucks. mostly native women though, so it'd better be your thing. just don't pick up that bad looking tv standing at her corner. there's only one, he/she's always there.

Brandi's is fine if you've got lots of cash to burn. I prefer "The No 5 Orange" near Main/Hastings. The ladies are hot, the service is great, the private shows upstairs are something else that's for sure. About three weeks ago late Sunday night driving back to friends house in Surrey, N.Delta area. Decided to travel Vancouver tourist track than home via Kingsway. Near the strip of stores before the London Guard, about a block away from the KFC saw a girl about 20 blonde sorta cute not looking like a sw in plain jeans and t-shirt, 5.5 tall. Also, for those who are parking along Powell St. and those side alleys in the dark industrial areas, you should be aware of a resident in a white T-shirt and black pants who walks along that corridor. I circled many times around low track and noticed him all the time. When I left after finishing my business, I saw him leaning over the window of a Crown Victoria consulting with the LE who had his LCD screen lit up. You might want to take your "business" elsewhere! This man had peppery hair and was quite large, around 250 lbs.

Sure all those things can happen! Chances of beeing arrested in Canada are in my opinion about the same odds as winning the lotto. The key to getting out of trouble with LE is to remain respectfull without kissing ass. Cops are like bullies, the more scarred you are of them the more they want to torture you (arrest). Also, the more you act like a jerk the more they want to nail you.

Yes STD's exist but in Canada health information has a lot more religious biased that inflate stats to scare people like us to lead a more moral lifestyle. I'm not saying do not take precautions, no condom etcetra! Safe sex does reduce the risk's in my mind to nil. Lastly sure they can robb you but those odds can be reduced with street smarts, learn to play the game!

In USA or Canada you can still get robbed or get the shiv by any SW. Also can still be nailed by LE in Canada that can put you in the computer which can screw up any cross border travel. I don't think anyone except the staunchest Republican boob could argue that Canadian's experience more personal freedoms than us Yanks. Aside from a few censorship issues which still seem to plague my brothers to the North, the Canadian enjoys more liberties and freedoms than his Southern neighbors have in decades.

A big part of this is the fact that Canadian politics have not been purchased by the corporate interests as they have here in the states. Canadian legislators, by and large, still seem to deliberate and make decisions that (often) reflect the best interests of the populace. Down here, the decision making is a reflection of corporate lobbying and funds, and if it means negating a civil liberty found in our Constitution it just means the price tag for the sponsoring party/corporation will be a bit higher.

We are all truly fucked. I wish I could blame this on George Bush and/or the Republican Party, but they are merely the worst and most aggredious examples of this in action. The Democrats only pay lip service to the common man nowadays, and I think this is what hurts even more than the Republican's overt corruption.
