I don't consider myself to be a seasoned veteran of Macau, but I certainly have been around in this island paradise. Saunas are hands down my number one choice of venue. However, my experience is mostly limited to 18 and Rio because I insist on high-quality tail. Problem is, those two places are expensive and, in all honesty, overpriced. The few times I visited other saunas, I was disappointed by the quality. Perhaps it was just bad luck on my part, but such was the case.

I've read many reports by various members about the great times they've had at other saunas, so I'm hoping everyone can pitch in on this, for me and for other prospective mongers.

Aside from 18 and Rio, what other saunas offer really stunning girls? I'm talking at least a solid 9 here. And I don't need the facilities to be posh, as long as it's clean it'll be acceptable.

Also, what's everyone's favorite sauna? And why?

Since I've had a 'spin' at both the Rio and the Emperor within the last 30 days, I'll weigh in on this comparative discussion if I might:

!) Quality and Nationalities of the Ladies. Seem comparable to me, with perhaps a few more CIS / Russians at the Rio, but this probably varies from night to night. If top-of-the-line PRC Supermodels are your choice, both had a LOT to choose from.

2) Price. It's going to set you back almost $2K HKD if you go high end at either the Rio or Emperor. Might seem a lot, but EVERY man deserves at least one shot in a "Man's Paradise". There's simply no other experience quite like it.

3) Facilities / Ambiance. Both are high end, but in an admittedly subjective view, the nod goes to the Rio. Lounge area is nicer, staff more attentive.

In summary, Bionicman is probably right, the luck of the 'draw' on your chosen lady (GFE? Skills?) will ultimately determine what you think of either place.

Perhaps a more interesting comparison might be made between these '5 Star' establishments such as the Rio, Emperor and 18, and what some might call '2nd Tier', but still with high quality ladies, such as Sanado, Familia Nobre, etc.

My experience is mainly at Rio but these year I ventured to Emperor as I was a guest of the hotel there.

I agree, Rio is a bit overpriced but the facilities are 5 stars.

It is of course peanut but whilst at Rio any food seem to be free, at Emperor I had to pay 28HKG (super peanuts, I know, but just mentioning for the talks) for a dish of noodles.

Question is: better pay for some extra food and have decent prices for the mongering side, or have a higher price level and all in? Debatable!

As far as the girls are concerned, I did not see any ugly ones at Emperor, maybe a bit more standard ones.

Let's say that if at Rio you have 8 thru 10's, at Emperor you have 6 to 10's.

As usual nice and stunning is good but service is what one should also look for.

This is the usual hit and miss.

Gednerally speaking Rio has one level up of girls, but at Emperor the choice is not bad at all.

Maybe the mix at Emperor offers a few less 10's.

At Emperor I did not like the wet "bed" (hard to define it a bed, though) , as it is a sort of split (for the legs) chaise longue.

Different league of a wet bed is the Rio's one.

That represents always an astonishing piece of bathroom instrument.

I mean, can you imagine there is somebody designing and producing a kind of pool table that has the primary function to allow a soaped body massage? LOL.

I am wodnering how this is at the other saunas.

Only Asians can do that.

Rio offers the thigh massage in a closed and comfortable cubicle, whilst at Emperor this is performed publicly (still covered by a few towels, of course)

I am now at Sanado at the computer, last day here in this lovely city of ladies! My pick for the best two massage outlets has to be Sanado and Excellent at the hotel Grand Emperor. I just wanted to provide a quick recap of my other experiences while in Macau. As for the Macau styled saunas, Golden was my favorite. However, I would start my next trip to Macau at Darlings 2.
