Nana Hotel is certainly guest friendly but it is also old and rather rundown. Majestic Suites is a newer hotel in about the same price range as Nana and in the same area (practically just across the street).

I left BKK early the next morning but can not keep from smiling when I think of how I was able to change this guys perception of Thai girls and, hopefully, ensured he enjoyed the rest of his time in Thailand. I will probably never see him again but I must admit that I felt good that I could help a fellow traveller.

Don't how it is these days (it's been 5 years since I've last visited BKK), but I stayed at the Grace Hotel. Definitely guest friendly and 10 minute walk to the action (Nana?).

I'll be back this Christmas and New Year's, but most of my time will be spent in Hua Hin with my GF. No time for mongering unless she's up for it, too.

Grace is "ARAB CENTRAL". If it bothers someone, they might not want to stay there.

I'm just back from a few days in Thailand. Thought this may interest some of you!

I was having a quiet drink one evening at Safari Bar (Patpong 1) when an English guy of around 35 walked in, sat down near to me and ordered a beer.

He was obviously rather upset, must have needed someone to talk to and had obviously chosen me!

He started to tell me his problems,

He was just an ordinary guy who had to work hard for his money in UK and his trips to L. O. S were limited.

On his 1st trip to Thailand, around 18 months ago, he had met a Thai girl (in Phuket I think.) She had, within a few days, become his "regular girl friend" and he had started sending her monthly donations. On subsequent visits he had met the parents, sister and various other family members.

On this trip, he had only arrived a few days ago, he was met by the whole family and told that a payment of some "huge amount" of Thai Baht was required if the relationship was to continue!

During the subsequent argument / discussion he was also informed that what he thought was his girlfriend's sister's baby was actually the child of his girlfriend!

He was distraught and asked my advice.

I told him to change his hotel, throw away his SIM card, get a new one, and start to enjoy himself rather than be the walking ATM that this family expected!

He had already decided to have no further contact with his (now EX) girlfriend but also seemed to have decided that he would have no further contact with any Thai girl.

I told him that I thought that this was a bad decision and what he needed, in my opinion, was a cute, friendly, playmate for the evening to take his mind off his problems. So after finishing his beer we were off to one of the few remaining "upstairs, naughty bars" in Patpong.

Now, I am not a stranger to this bar so, as soon as I sat down I had a friendly attentive (and naked) playmate by my side and my new chum also had a naked dancer with a nice body straddling him and playing "tonsil hockey" with him while he gave her a detailed chest examination.

As he had never been to anywhere like this before it took him some time, after I had explained how things worked, to fully get into the "ambience" of the place and enjoy what was on offer but he caught on rather quickly and, with a little guidance from me was soon enjoying all the delights that a BKK bar has offer.

Now, during this time a new playmate had joined me (One that I had not seen before) who was young, rather attractive with no kids and an absolutely beautiful body.

My new chum, rather sheepishly, told me that he thought that she was "absolutely beautiful" and that, if she was not already with me he would be bar fining her long time!

So, a few words in my playmates ear that "My friend like you and want to take you long time" she quickly transferred her allegiance (and her naked body) to my chum.

I don't think that I have ever seen anyone so astonished, or so happy, as him at that moment. It's as if all his Christmas wishes had been answered at once so, after they had a few minutes to get to know each other I helped him negotiate the bar fine and long time rate for her.

I don't think that anyone has been quite as grateful to me as that guy was. I'm sure that he couldn't believe his luck! From suicidal to absolute ecstasy in around one hour. And so, after continually telling me for 15 minutes that I was the "best guy he had ever met" and that I had "saved his life" he finally left the bar with his new friend for a night of fun and games.

I already mentioned that I am no stranger to that bar so many of the girls, and the Moma San's know me and I had already made sure that the girl would treat him very well during their time together.

The Beer Garden at Soi 7 gets some mixed reviews especially later in the evening but if you not after the stunning 21 year olds it's an ok place. I am myself in the forties but well preserved.

It's easy to check out the women and easy to see if anyone is interested. That is if you are careful selecting. On this trip I wasn't in my first attempt.

I was talking to some old-timers from Scotland when a smiling woman in the early 30's approached us. She looked ok and was not dressed like a *****. I am not into the dyed hair and high heels.

She was from Udon and turned out to be the worst lay I have had in Thailand. She was nice but seemed completely ignorant about sex. She had 2 children in Udon so it couldn't be her first time!

Next evening on the king's birthday I went by Thermae just to revisit the place. A couple of years ago I was staying at the Raumchitt Hotel above the Thermae and have taken some nice girls upstairs.

It's properly more difficult now competing with the very 'short' time Asian guys.

The atmosphere is stone cold, but its fun to watch.

Then I went onto Beergarden again at around 11 PM. There was a sweet girl talking to 3 guys. They were definitely not going to take her out, but it was not possible to get her attention. There was also a nice girl – nonpro student type. Sitting next to me but she was staring down at the table and constantly checking out her mobile. I was waiting to long to talk to her. It would be a bit awkward to approach her after 10 minutes.

I decided to go down towards Nana passing the usual bunch of black girls around Soi 3. It looks a bit like Istedgade, in the red light area in Copenhagen. The black girls are primarily trying to get the attention of Arab looking guys and that's fine by me.

Having a drink at the bar opposite the Nana Parking Lot I saw a very small cute looking girl. I must admit that it's difficult to be a 100% sure about the gender of the 'girls' standing in front of the Nana Parking lot, even if they are small and cute. She was just leaving the place was I was going to approach her, so I went back to The Beer Garden again. The nice looking girl was still talking to the 3 guys. Walking around I saw a girl in her late twenties sitting alone. Her nick name was something like 'Blaah'- the same as the word for fish in Thai. She spoke English remarkably well. I try to improve my small knowledge of Thai and keep the Thai/English book out in the open. It's a nice ice breaker to talk about language.

'Blaah' was from Ubon and had at one point studied to be a nurse. She definitely knew all about the human body and turned out to be an excellent GFE. She staid the whole night. She never asked about a specific sum so I gave her 3000. On the subject of ladyboys she actually told me that sometimes even she couldn't be sure. I got her phone number will properly call her tomorrow. If you meet 'Blaah' treat her well.

At this very moment I am checking out Chinatown: Soi Texas (Thanon Padung Dao), Texas Massage, Maitri Chit and the small streets in between.

The girls and quite old ladies are standing out in the open. And most of them are smiling at you. They know that you (in my case) are a dirty old man and not stumbled upon this place by accident. Especially at 'Thanon Mit Phan' up to the round about there was a lot of girls. Also on the small streets around Texas Massage (it's actually marked at Google Earth) opposite the China Town Hotel, there were many girls. On Maitri Chit itself (a not so busy broad street) there were a few girls.

It's a bit odd with the girls standing between people working on street right besides them. So far I have only been checking out the area I will let you now how it goes. I hope my basic Thai knowledge will do but 'Nyng pan' meaning a 1000 should do the trick. You will also have to pay for the short time hotel. Song roi means 200.

Since there were 2 posters inquiring about where to find the hottest girls, I thought I would share my notes from this thread; the general consensus is that these establishments have hot girls:

All of them pretty pricey. Do a search for more info. Note: I haven't been to any of them yet, this is just from my research. From my last trip I have experience in the Rainbow bars at Nana, where IMO you can already find some really hot women.

The no sell alcohol policy has very little effect. I was eating around sukhumvit and when I ordered beer with the food I was told that I could step down from the window seat and eat there and beer was brought in glasses (no bottles around). I think it is the same thing in NEP and Cowboy. Stores have signs that they cant sell alcohol, I didnt try myself but one guy just grabbed a few Heinekens at the 7Eleven and paid them normally at the cashier so no effect.

During my 2 nights I ended barfining 2 different girls from the bar directly across Shebas in Cowboy. 1st night BFd young looking slim girl who was actually 29 then the next night switched to a 19yo. Dont remember the name of the bar. Some (maybe 1, barely 2) girls very hot there but the rest just usual, but I still liked fucking them. Ended up one night at this "loy kratong" party (anyone know what it is?) where I took a taxi like with 5 bargirls after a short time with my girl I wanted to accompany her there and she met her friends I saw earlier at that bar (we all were drunk) to some place far near Rama8 and there people and I too lit up those things and let them fly into the sky and also put those things with candles onto the water. Seemed like I was the only farang there at 2 am

Then came to the hotel to sleep...it was a good choice...looks like no-one wanted any company for the night...

All bars are open where I live near Chatuchak. Coyote bars, normal bars, 7-11, etc.
