Big John, you can pretty much forget any of the old El Centro clubs on the Mariscal crawl. Everything from Queens & Hollywood down to Las Palmeros is pretty much gone.

IT is like a Norteno bar with a live band. I didn't go in with a cowboy hat, just had a t-shirt / jeans. The people in there just look like they want to have a good time or make money. I have not seen any cholos in there but even I would probably stay away once night falls. From around 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm I would feel relatively safe even if your kinda guero given that you speak spanish.
